Welcome to the Holistic Health Sisters podcast with wellness and real-life sisters, Hannah Carr and Sarah King from the Holistic Health Collective. In this podcast, we're going to be sharing our passion for, of course, holistic health, but also spirituality, healings, hormone, plant medicine, seasonal living, our love of nature, and our love of community. So we're gonna invite you to take a pause and take a nice deep breath And join us on a path of healing, of self-discovery and self-love, and of stepping into the brilliance of who you really are. This is a podcast for the seekers out there. Those of you who know there's more to life than just surviving or going through the motions, and you want more. More health, wealth, happiness, love, compassion, connection, trust, surrender, and more faith. And you want that for others too, so we can make this world a better place for us all. So go and grab a cup of ceremonial grade cacao, and join us as we explore what moves through us, that which is divinely led, so we can all move from fear towards more faith. Thank you so much for being here with us today Welcome, beautiful soul. I'm so glad you're here with me for this full moon Sagittarius portal. So you're here with me, Hannah, today. Sarah couldn't make it, and Sarah before doing work on herself would say she couldn't make it because she's in too much pain to record But Sarah today, after doing a lot of work on herself, says, "I'm honoring my pain portal." So that's really reframing pain Meeting pain with curiosity and compassion instead of, resistance and frustration Being curious to what the body needs and realizing that it is a portal because on the other side of the pain, what lies there? And so I'm just sharing that at the beginning to maybe help you with some mindset reframes even when things feel difficult. And of course, I'd like to send lots of love to my sister Sarah as she's honoring her pain portal. Cheering her on and celebrating her for doing that work. And may we all meet our pain with curiosity and compassion. So as always, today we'll be moving through this lunation with a trauma-informed nervous system friendly somatic lens. So this isn't astrology that asks you to bypass your humanity. Often when we learn about astrology, it can be very heady. Especially for me, I find it's a lot of information to digest, and what we want to keep doing is bringing it back to your body to help with your healing. So it is really an invitation for you to listen to your body, your emotions, your energy, and your pace. So before we speak about Sagittarius and the fire and the expansion of truth, I just want to invite you gently back to yourself. So maybe soften your gaze depending where you are. Invitation to notice the support that's beneath you, whether that's beneath your feet and you're walking, beneath your sit bones, perhaps you're sitting, or maybe you're lying somewhere Unclench that jaw. In fact, when I do a little body scan like that, I like to just check between the eyebrows, 'cause often we're holding a lot of tension there, the jaw, perhaps the throat, and then the chest, the belly, the back, the pelvis and the pelvic floor, the lower half of the body. Maybe take one deeper breath than you have before. And these tiny moments of returning, they matter. Okay? The nervous system doesn't heal through force, it heals through safety, through presence, and through being met. And under this particular Sagittarius full moon, there can be such a pull towards movement, answers, growth, becoming, seeking, and we love all of that. But it's really easy to forget that the wisdom lies inside the body. So this is your reminder to keep coming back to your body. In fact, I received a WhatsApp this morning from someone who had shared a difficult no, and then was, like really up in their head. And it's come back to the body, come back to the feelings. This is the difficult part of the work. We don't really want to sit with those uncomfortable feelings, but that's where the work is. So let this be your reminder, you don't need to outrun yourself to evolve. So this full moon rises in Sagittarius on the 31st of May, into the 1st of June, depending where you are in the world. So here in the UK, we'll experience the fullness of this moon in the early hours of the morning. And Sagittarius is a fire sign, and it's mutable fire. So the energy is the seeker, the philosopher, the truth-teller, the part of us that longs to understand life through meaning, experience, freedom, spirituality, and movement So Sagittarius energy asks, what do you believe? And I'm not going to run through the other questions here. I'm just gonna pause for a second and ask you to reflect, or maybe you can even pause this if you're home and grab your journal But what do you believe? What do you believe about yourself? What do you believe about the world? What do you believe are important values to yourself? And what are you devoted to? What are you devoted to? So one thing I'm really devoted to is definitely my expansion and my growth and my learning, but my family actually still come first. So I will do everything I can to balance getting that growth, that learning in, but not at the expense of my family. So something that I'm really devoted to is my family. And then after that, probably my growth and my expansion and my learning. So what are you devoted to? I'm actually going through a little period of being devoted to having fun, 'cause I think I've had too much of my adult life where, I've been practical and logical and responsible, and sometimes that can be at the cost of fun. I don't think I've lost my fun completely. There's always been some space for it, but I'm making a lot more space. So I'm devoted to saying yes to things that are lighting me up, which is lots of singing, lots of music. I've been doing hula hooping recently, and all sorts of fun activities. And are those beliefs expanding your life? So the beliefs that you've got. So say for example, you've got the belief that, I don't know, it's hard to earn money, or the belief that you're not likable. These may be beliefs that are not expanding your life or that are keeping you small. So just checking that your beliefs are actually allowing you to take up space, to believe in yourself And remember that full moons illuminate, right? So it's like a big light is shining down from the sky and they bring awareness to things. Okay? So full moons can, I feel churn up and yeah, just put that spotlight on sometimes it's uncomfortable things 'cause it's things that need to be looked at They shine a light onto what has been quietly building beneath the surface. So it might not always be, something that's more challenging that needs looking at. It might be an idea that you haven't quite allowed yourself to believe in yet. It might be shining a little light on that. But often we feel more emotional under a full moon. So under this moon, we may feel more restless, more reflective, more aware of where you've outgrown old narratives. So this is a little reminder for some practicals under a full moon. Anything that we eat or drink, we feel a bigger effect of in the body. So if you are I don't know, if you still go drinking these days or, I don't know, an afternoon tea even that's full of sugar, for example, you're gonna feel the effect more in the body. So if you choose to, like I just had a green juice as I was driving my daughter somewhere this morning. We both had one. If you choose to have that thing that's gonna serve you, and it might not be a green juice is a thing that serves everyone, but often it's, might be better than sugar or alcohol. You're gonna feel the effects of that too. So hydration under a full moon particularly if you've been neglecting it recently. And some reminders about hydration. Yeah, it'd be great if you could upgrade from tap water. That's just a basic. But remember, we get lots of hydration through food. Cucumbers are amazing. All fruits and vegetables, but loads of watermelon this time of year. And magnesium can really calm the body, relax the muscles. So those Epsom salt baths can be really good or just increasing your magnesium-rich foods So back to Sagittarius. It governs the realm of perspective and higher truth. So this may illuminate where your nervous system has attached safety to certainty. So to always be knowing, to always have a plan, to always understand where life is going. But healing is often asking us to loosen our grip. So I've been practicing this a little bit recently, being a little bit more spontaneous and a little bit more flexible with plans, and trusting when things don't happen. I'll give you a silly little example here. But we had a guy come in to fix our fridge freezer that broke down in the heat, of course. And he actually ended up not being able to make it after he said he could And it was fully trusting that was meant to be as it was. To not get resentful or annoyed. So to trust that flow. So where could you do that more in your life? And Sagittarius teaches us that wisdom is not the same thing as control, and often we're trying to control things so much more than we realize. I'm really learning that with my children that are getting older. My son's 17 now, and absolutely does not wanna be controlled. And even when I think I'm not doing it, he's reflecting back the small ways that I might be. So where are you holding onto this control? And others may show you if they get annoyed with you, particularly children, but it could be, your friend, your partner, people at work. And this moon has a very interesting medicine because 2026 astrologically is such a threshold year. So we've got Saturn now in Aries, Neptune in Aries, Uranus newly in Gemini. So there are huge collective shifts happening around identity, communication, truth, technology, nervous system, and how you may move through uncertainty as well. So you may be feeling this already. The old structures are dissolving, and the old ways of coping are, they're not quite working anymore. So that sense that something in you is trying to emerge, but perhaps is not fully formed yet. And the Sagittarius energy can sometimes want to leap ahead, right? To find the lesson quickly, to spiritually explain that discomfort away. But when we come back to the body and somatic healing, this asks something different of us. So you're not asking the questions like, "What does this mean?" And you're asking that immediately. But you're asking what does this feel like inside my body?" So you're bringing that curiosity in, even in those moments of discomfort. Perhaps like confrontation, perhaps like rejection of control. You're saying to yourself, "What does this feel like inside my body?" And you'll keep bringing your focus, your attention back to there. Because your body experiences truth before your mind can intellectualize it. I'm gonna say that again. Your body experiences truth before your mind can intellectualize it. So a good example of this will be you'll meet someone or you'll walk into somewhere and your body will be like, "Oh, that doesn't feel good." And your mind will be trying to work out why. I don't wanna seem rude, and nothing actually happened." But your body already knows, so trust that. So under this moon, notice what feels expansive in your body and what contracts. If you're listening to this podcast today, could you hold that intention for the rest of the day to explore that every hour maybe? Does this feel expansive or is this contracting me? Does this feel expansive or is this contracting me? And noticing who do you become around certain people? What conversations leave you feeling more alive? And where are you abandoning your truth in order to remain accepted? So again, if you can pause this and grab a journal, or maybe you'd just like to reflect just in your mind, do that now. Who do you become around certain people? What conversations leave you feeling more alive? And where are you abandoning your truth in order to remain accepted? So Sagittarius is deeply connected to authenticity. And authenticity really is nervous system work. Do we feel safe enough to be who we really are in this situation? Because many of us learned very young that belonging comes through adapting, right? So pretending that you're okay or pretending that you're happy or pretending that you're interested, right? Through shape-shifting, through being agreeable, through not being too much. But eventually your body begins to speak, okay? And this can show up like exhaustion, restlessness, anxiety, burnout, numbness, and the inability to fully feel joy So if you've got any of those symptoms, go back and answer the questions, right? Where are you not being fully authentic in your life yet? And remember, it's a fire moon, so it can illuminate where your spirit has become disconnected from your aliveness. Okay? Not as a punishment. You're not doing anything wrong. That is an invitation to step back in to remember that there's something important here around movement and direction because Sagittarius is connected to travel, to vision, to horizons, to future possibilities, and under this moon you may feel the tension between where you are now and where your soul knows it's ready to go. And remember, a lot of that is needing to let go of, it might be people, places, things that are currently in your life, in your environment, in your circumstances to make space. So it can feel exciting, but it can also feel very scary or even grief-filled Because growth asks us, right? To release these identities that once kept us safe. So with some of the planets, that's Saturn and Neptune now both in Aries, there's this collective invitation to become more honest about who you are underneath survival mode. Okay? So Aries says, "I am." But many nervous systems have learned, "I am only safe if..." If what? If I perform, or if I achieve, or if I stay small, or if I don't d- disappoint anyone, or if I keep everyone comfortable. Or for some of you it may be, if I kept quiet, right? When you're a child, you're safe if you kept quiet, or you're safe if you So this full moon may bring awareness to the stories that sit after your I am. You could write that out actually. I am, and then write down everything that you believe about yourself, and then investigate whether they're truly yours or not. So bring that curiosity in Okay, let's get practical and talk about the body. So Sagittarius covers the hips, the thighs, the liver within traditional astrology. So remember the hips especially can hold a lot of stored survival energy, okay? Forward movement, suppressed emotion, fear around stepping into the unknown. So if the body's been speaking to you through tight hips or lower back tension, or even restlessness in your legs, and it can also show up as digestive fire. So that might be acid reflux, for example, or inflammation, or even emotional agitation. Become curious, right? Not critical. So your body, remember, is never betraying you, it's communicating. And this moon has a lot to do with inner freedom. It's about not performing, it's about not escaping your life, but the freedom that comes when your nervous system no longer has to brace itself or brace against itself. And that's real liberation, right? That you're okay in every situation, that you can handle it, that you're growing your capacity. So there may also be a strong emotional intensity around beliefs and communication under this moon because Uranus is now moving through Gemini, beginning a long cycle of changing how we think, how we communicate, how we process information, and how we regulate mentally. And honestly, many nervous systems are overloaded right now. We have too much information, too much stimulation, too much urgency, and Sagittarius wants wisdom. But this wisdom is different from constant consumption. So if you're consuming this podcast today, maybe choose for the next few hours that you don't wanna consume anything else, and that you wanna come back to your body wisdom. So very practically, this moon may ask you to slow down your input. So it might be less doom scrolling, less needing to know everything immediately, more space for silence. We've created a whole podcast on silence, so if you're interested to explore that, please go back. And then more time in nature, more time in prayer, more time consciously with the breath, more time with movement, but in a way that movement feels good for you. So not necessarily pushing yourself in the gym, but maybe you wanna find movement that your body's just naturally craving. Put on some music and see how your body wants to dance. More time for real conversations and real presence, because your nervous system can't heal when you're in constant overwhelm So keep asking under this moon, what nourishes my spirit genuinely? What nourishes my spirit genuinely? I have actually been reflecting on this a bit myself recently, and I've been noticing days that I feel nourished and then undernourished. And some of the things that actually genuinely nourishes my spirit is challenges. So learning something and expanding my capacity and overcoming a challenge, that genuinely nourishes my spirit. Or I really love to sing with people in community. That nourishes my spirit. So what nourishes yours? Not what distracts you, not what helps you avoid feeling, but what actually reconnects you to life. In fact, drop us an, a message on Instagram, @holistichealthcollectiveuk. Get into our inbox and tell us. We'd love to hear from you. I'll give you a few ideas. Maybe it's being near water, so it could be a lake, a river, the sea. Maybe it's dancing. Maybe it's laughter. Do you wanna get to a comedy club or watch a comedy movie? Maybe it's reading something sacred. Perhaps it's finally telling the truth, or maybe you could rest without guilt. These are all things that could nourish your spirit. And Sagittarius reminds us that healing is not meant to make you smaller, more controlled, but meant to reconnect you to vitality So don't forget that full moons are also release points. So Sagittarius especially can help us release limiting narratives. So stories that say it's too late or I'll never change, or I can't trust myself, or I have to stay who I've always been. These stories may have once protected you, but are they still true? And if they're not, then what becomes possible This moon also carries a beautiful supportive energy between expansion and grounding. There's this sense that, yes, things are rapidly shifting, but we're also being asked to build lives that are sustainable for our nervous system and not just impressive from the outside. And that feels really important because spiritual growth without grounding can become disassociation. So you're, if you're always up there in the ethers, but you're not grounded and tethered. But then productivity without embodiment can become depletion. Can share another personal example about that, but I was using an electric sander in the garden this week, and it's noisy, and I got a little way in, hadn't finished the job, and I felt "No, it's time to rest now." And old me would've carried on to get that job done on that day, and I was like, "I can do it tomorrow." So can you have that embodiment while you're being productive, which might ask you to rest or take a break? So your practice under this moon does not need to be elaborate. It could simply be placing a hand on your body and ask. We can just do it now. Take a breath What is true for me today? Or another question could be, what would support me to feel safer, softer, and more alive? Oh, I like that. Juicy. What would support me to feel safer, softer, and more alive? My body just responded even to the question. And then allowing what the answer is to be enough. I could take that breath, I could reflect on that, and it might say rest. So can I allow that to be enough? Or it might go a cuddle. Time with my dog. So as the moon reaches her fullness she reminds us that life itself moves in cycles just like us. Expansion, contraction, action, rest, knowing, unknowing. And healing's not really about arriving somewhere permanently healed or enlightened, it's about learning how to stay in relationship with yourself through the changing seasons. So if this moon feels big for you, if emotions arise, if clarity arrives, if restlessness moves through, any of the things, it could be grief, it could be excitement, just let it sit by your side. Remember, you're human, you're changing. Your body's trying to find a way in its new rhythm So just before I wrap up, let me give you that reminder that as full moons are a wonderful time for releasing anything that you are ready to let go of, an old story, some resentment against someone, something that you're holding against yourself. You could write it down, create your own ritual, and burn it in a fire, on the barbecue maybe, as it's that kind of season, or just over a lit candle. And if you'd like to do that with us, remember we run an online full moon and new moon circle every single month, and this one's gonna happen this Sunday at 7:30 PM, and you can join on a pay what you feel is right basis.
