Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What if you didn't have to earn your rest, your worth, or your place in the world?
In this deeply nourishing episode, we explore the powerful energy of the Capricorn Full Moon and how it invites us to release the exhausting belief that our value comes from what we do rather than who we are.
If you've spent years being the strong one, holding everything together, caring for everyone else, or feeling like your worth is tied to your productivity, this conversation is your permission to soften.
Together we'll explore how this Full Moon shines a light on the hidden patterns of over-responsibility, perfectionism and people-pleasing, while weaving together astrology, somatic healing, nervous system regulation, Ayurveda and the profound transition of perimenopause.
This episode is an invitation to reconnect with your body, honour your limits, and remember that you are already enough.
In this episode, we explore:
- The spiritual meaning of the Capricorn Full Moon
- Why Full Moons illuminate what is ready to be released
- The shadow side of Capricorn: productivity, perfectionism and proving your worth
- How over-functioning impacts the nervous system

Thank you so much for being here with us today Hi, beautiful humans. Welcome back to the podcast. And today we'll be talking about the Capricorn full moon, releasing the burden of proving your worth. Ah, let's ground. This is an earth moon, so maybe feel your feet on the floor. Look up here, take a deep breath, and let's dive into this wonderful opportunity to celebrate ourselves, realize how far we've come from that new moon in Capricorn at the beginning of the year, and to look at the shadow aspects so that we can move on without heaviness, without feeling like we're stuck Okay, so the full moon in London is on Tuesday, June the 30th at 12:56 AM, in New York, at 7:56 PM, and in LA at 4:56 PM. Earth signs. So just start by saying things can take longer to heal in the body with an earth sign, and I'll be talking about weaving in all the intelligence of the nervous system and how to break limiting patterns as we meet these full moons. And remembering full moons, they're seen as this culmination point in the lunar cycle. Energetically, they illuminate what's been hidden. Perhaps we didn't see it at the beginning of the lunation. Perhaps we didn't feel it. But it starts to bring awareness to patterns, emotions, truths, and the tensions as well that may have been quietly building beneath the surface. And they invite us into completion and release reflection and integration. And this is gonna look unique for all of us, but historically women have gathered to do this. It can feel a lot to do it on our own, and I speak to people with Capricorn in their chart or those that resonate with those Capricorn hardworking energies, and just generally we're all gonna experience this Capricorn energy in this full moon. Physically, many people notice heightened sensitivity around a full moon. We definitely know that sleep can be disrupted with all this extra light bouncing around, and emotions can feel closer to the surface. Sometimes that's easier to see in other people than ourselves, but remember everyone is a mirror, just like the moon is a mirror for the sunlight at this time of the cycle. So your body might ask for more rest, maybe more hydration, and more spaciousness. But emotionally, mainly the lunar cycles invite us to connect with the ebb and flow of our emotions. But the full moon can act like a big spotlight shining down, not to expose in a harsh way, but really to help us see ourselves more clearly and to reveal what is ready to be acknowledged, to be grieved, celebrated, or released. And this Capricorn full moon feels especially potent for those of us navigating perimenopause for you women that have spent years holding others, leading, healing, supporting, producing, providing, showing up, being dependable, being the strong one- Capricorn energy is often associated with responsibility, achievement, mastery, structure, and contribution. In its healthiest expression, it helps us build meaningful lives that are aligned with our values. But every archetype has a shadow, and this moon seems to be illuminating a very old wound, the belief that our worth is tied to our usefulness, the belief that in order to be loved or appreciated, we must be needed, and that in order to be needed, we must constantly serve, produce, fix, hold, carry, provide, and perform. Oh, I feel just exhausted reading those things out, let alone living them, let alone my nervous system being deeply rooted into that belief. And many women learn this pattern long before they have language for it. Perhaps love was conditional or approval came through achievement, and perhaps safety comes through being highly capable, highly responsible, highly attuned to the needs of everyone around you, and whispering, "And putting your needs last." But those adaptations that probably served you beautifully, and they may have helped you to survive or even to thrive, to build businesses, raise families, support communities, and create meaningful impact. But survival strategies can become prisons when they outlive their purpose, and that's why this window of the full moon or the perimenopause has a way of revealing what can no longer be sustained Not because something is wrong with you and you're failing and you can't keep up, but because your body is asking for a new relationship with yourself, a new relationship with the earth. Many women discover during the season that the endless giving no longer feels available. They don't have capacity anymore. The hustle no longer works. The over-functioning becomes exhausting. The masking becomes heavy, and the nervous system begins asking questions that achievement can no longer answer. Things like, "Who am I when I'm not producing?" When you're just being. "Who am I, who am I when I'm not fixing? Who am I when I'm not carrying everyone else's needs? Who am I when I stop proving my worth?" Juicy, right? This Capricorn full moon invites us to sit with these questions gently and without judgment, without rushing towards an answer. There is another layer emerging here as well. The wound of experiencing incarnation itself as a burden, the belief that being human is somehow a task to perform correctly. I'm gonna say that again, because many of us were brought up in that generation of reward and punishment, so without even realizing it, sometimes we're looking to do things right. The belief that being human is somehow a task to perform correctly. You can't do life wrong. Let me just say that again. You can't do life wrong. We believe perhaps that life is an obligation, that the body is a problem, that time is something we're constantly losing, that responsibility is proof of our goodness. Many of us unconsciously carry a sense that existence is something we must earn, being worthy of our life. I often hear, "I've earned that snack," or, "I've earned that rest." But you don't earn it. You're worthy of it already. So many of us justify our place here through effort, through sacrifice, through productivity, through usefulness, definitely through our to-do list and getting things ticked off. Yet what if the sacred limitation of being human was never a punishment? What if having a body is not exile, but intimacy? What if time is not a sentence, but a container? A container for what you can create, feel, experience. And what if form is not restriction, but artistry? What if your life was never meant to be a performance, but just a vessel for experience, like I said, for creativity and sensation, for aliveness, for presence So as a woman going through perimenopause as well, I am being initiated into this remembrance, and most likely you are too. A remembrance that our value is absolutely inherent, and a remembering that rest is not earned, a remembering that wisdom does not arrive from constant doing, and a remembering that we belong here simply because we are here. Not because of what we accomplish, and not because of how much we give, but not because of how useful we are, but just because we exist. Just by being born you are worthy. I'm reading such a fantastic book that I picked up in a little library here in Italy where I am going to experience this full moon, it's about the red tent. And it reminded me that women had three days of rest, and this was back in ancient times, in the red tent. At the time of the new moon, all of the women of the tribe would stop for three days. They'd work hard the rest of the time for themselves, for the men, for the community. They all had a place, and they had pride in what they did in the way that they tended gardens or that they weaved or repaired things or looked after the children. But they had these completely protected three days of rest where they sat in the red tent and they sung to each other, because singing helps the vagus nerve and it helps pain in the body, and they would massage each other with scented oils, and they would be fed by members of the community that weren't bleeding. I had such a deep grief when I read this, because we are just producing all month long, and we often crash into the menopause because the body is completely burned out and exhausted. And this is, where this Capricorn moon can help us with this shadow. Capricorn wants us to create a legacy and to work hard and be the CEO of the Zodiac and of our life, but not at the expense of sacrificing the body So I will sit with my community in our version of Red Tent, which is our full moon healing somatic circle happening on Tuesday the 30th of June at 7:30 PM UK time. That is open for you to come and join us and sit and tune into your body and the effects of this moon with your body and how to support you. And I weave in all my Ayurvedic wisdom and teachings, and you'll just experience healing by being in community. It's so healing itself. And we'll reflect on things like where am I still proving, and where am I carrying responsibility that no longer belongs to me? Where have I confused worthiness with usefulness? And what would soften if I trusted my existence is enough? Okay, let's breathe into that and feel the support beneath you right now. And notice the body that has carried you through every season of your life is still here, and perhaps this moon is asking you not to do more, but to release the burden of becoming someone, and instead to come home to who you already are. That feels like enough for now, I feel. So please come and join us for the full moon circle on the 30th of June So that you can take that sacred rest, To tune in to what this full moon is illuminating within you and around you, and this is all coming up for healing, these circles are about natural healing, going at the pace of your own nervous system, about looking at those deeply woven patterns that are ready to unpick and write new ones. These times in the circles are so sacred and so transformational. So if you have tried one out and you're ready to come back in, or if you're brand new, you are so worthy of being there, and they're pay what you feel you can, so just on a donation base. So I'd love to invite you in or just to take that time in your own schedule or find a red tent or a moon circle near you and experience the feeling of being held in community. We don't have to do this alone. Even though that Capricorn energy might make us feel like we're hyper independent and that we have to carry the story of being the strong one, this is such a beautiful time to unpick that story and experience what it feels like to be just part of the tapestry. You don't have to create the whole picture all on your own and wear every role, wear every mask. This is your time to soften, strong one. So come join me and I'll support you, and thank you so much for listening. Thank you a million times over for joining us on this podcast episode.
