Van Jones
Van T. Jones is a native of the Mississippi Delta from Moorhead in Sunflower County. A graduate of The University of Southern Mississippi, he earned a B.S. in Sports Administration in 2000 and played four seasons on the Golden Eagles men’s basketball team.
After college, Van coached high-school basketball across the Pine Belt and later served in educational leadership as an assistant principal and school principal.
He also spent five years as Executive Director of Pine Belt 360, a nonprofit focused on unifying the Body of Christ to meet community needs.
Van and his wife Nicole, his college sweetheart, are parents to daughters Vanessa and Sydni and are active in ministry at Grace Temple. Together, they own After School Academics and Arts and The Shoppe Ice Cream & More. Van speaks and teaches on leadership, unity, and faith, encouraging others to stay the course and keep the faith.
