Yazmine Laroche
Yazmine Laroche has spent a lifetime defying stereotypes. She has over 20 years ofthe most senior leadership experience in the Canadian public service, where she led transformative initiatives in infrastructure, transportation, human resources and corporate management.
She is the first person with a visible disability to become a federal Deputy Minister in Canada. She currently chairs the Board of the Disability Screen Office, serves as a Trustee of the National Arts Centre and on the Panel of Advisors to the Auditor General of Canada. She is a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal and the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. She was awarded an honorary doctorate from her alma mater, Carleton University.
