Deepa Sinha, the VP for Payments and Financial Crime at BAFT (Bankers Association for Finance and Trade), based out of Washington, D.C., leads the association’s payments, cash management and financial crime-focused policy initiatives, as well as supports its related councils and committees.
Deepa works to advance the goals of the payments, cash management and financial crimes mitigation industry through standardisation, defining best practices and developing usable industry data. She is also responsible for formulating policy recommendations and educating industry stakeholders including practitioners, regulators, policymakers and the broader business community.

Dr. Rebecca Harding is a Senior Fellow of the British Foreign Policy Group, an independent trade economist, public speaker and sustainable trade and supply chain specialist and founder of strategic advisory business, Rebeccanomics. In 2022 she was awarded the “Net Zero Entrepreneur of the Year” at the annual Scale Up Group’s Enterprise Awards event.

Elizabeth Rosenberg leads public policy and emerging risk work related to financial crimes and economic sanctions for Bank of America. She is responsible for industry and policymaker engagement related to illicit finance, and engagement in various Public Policy Partnerships. She also coordinates the Bank’s global team that oversees financial threat assessment and strategy for emerging illicit finance risks. Previously, Rosenberg served as the Assistant Secretary for Terrorist Financing and Financial Crimes at the U.S. Department of the Treasury where she led anti-money laundering policy, counter-terrorist financing and -proliferation financing efforts, and the use of sanctions to advance U.S. national security.

He has extensive experience in banking and finance, specifically in corporate and international finance, trade, structured trade and commodity finance, electronic banking and digitizing trade finance, structured finance, asset and project finance, syndicated lending, equipment leasing, workouts and financing restructuring and general commercial matters.

Gregory Sampson is a seasoned expert in international trade, digital innovation, and sustainable development, with over 15 years of experience supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to compete and thrive in global markets.

Since 2015, Gregory has served as a Solutions Architect at the International Trade Centre (ITC) under the Trade for Sustainable Development Programme. In this role, he leads the design and deployment of digital solutions that empower SMEs through data—from traceability systems and sustainability self-assessments to platforms that enable compliance with complex regulatory frameworks such as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR).

Irene Port began her career with an apprenticeship at HypoVereinsbank (now UniCredit) in 1986 and became a specialist in foreign trade in Munich in 1989. She moved into trade risk management in 1996 and from 2007 served as Deputy Head of UniCredit’s Group Centre of Competence for Forfaiting Financial Institutions and the secondary market.

Her career includes assignments with UniCredit’s Trade Finance Unit in New York and Singapore, before relocating to Hong Kong in 2011 as Head of Trade Finance and Services for the Asia Pacific Region. In 2015, she returned to Munich as Head of Risk & Portfolio Optimisation, overseeing secondary market trade finance transactions, including insurance, multilateral, and supply chain finance risk participations.

In October 2024, Irene joined Munich Re as a Senior Underwriter, focusing on expanding trade finance solutions for banks across FI and corporate risk.

Research team in Amsterdam analyses a broad range of economic issues: from
monetary policy and the Dutch housing market to developments in specific sectors, sustainability and technology.

Marieke is a member of the board of the Royal Netherlands Economic Association
(Koninklijke Vereniging voor de Staatshuishoudkunde, KVS) – the oldest association of economists in the world. She is also a member of the independent advisory committee of the National Growth Fund (Nationaal Groeifonds).

He is currently the Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Barbados to the United Nations, WTO and other international organizations in Geneva, Ambassador to Switzerland, and Permanent Representative of Barbados to the UN agencies in Vienna and Rome.

Professional with over 20 years of experience in Corporate and Investment Banking holding different positions and international exposure across a variety of industries and geographies. MBA graduate from IE Business School and BA in Business from CUNEF and Sustainable Finance degree from University of Cambridge.

In 2022 he was appointed Global Head of ESG Advisory, which develops in addition to his current rol making a strategic approach to
corporate and institutional clients, providing them specialized advisory on ESG to improve the engagement with CaixaBank. This is an
innovative service for which his own in-house methodology has been developed based on the Cambridge University guide and which he
has implemented with a specific team, obtaining several international recognitions by UNEP-Fi, The Digital Banker and RSE among others.

Shona Tatchell is an experienced trade finance leader and entrepreneur with a career spanning major international banks, sustainable supply chain innovation and frontier market development. She has held senior roles at Chase, HSBC and Barclays across the UK, Middle East and Singapore, and later founded Halotrade, a pioneering software platform that enhances transparency and sustainability in global supply chains. Under her leadership, Halotrade gained industry recognition including nominations for GTR Sustainable Finance awards and the Greenbiz Supply Chain Innovation prize.
