A Humanitarian Crisis in Sudan
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Sudan is in the midst of the world’s largest humanitarian disaster. Famine has officially been declared in parts of the country, and 25 million people have reached “crisis” levels of food insecurity. Further, ongoing conflict and internal displacement have decimated communities and severely hampered agriculture, commerce, and aid deliveries.
With an ongoing and complicated crisis, understanding the current situation and needs is critical. On this episode of Voices to End Hunger, host Minerva Delgado speaks to two on-the-ground experts about the current crisis, how organizations such as World Renew and ZOA are attempting to meet the need, and what advocates need to do to bring the crisis the attention and assistance it needs.
Host: Minerva Delgado, Alliance to End Hunger
