Tiana De Rey:

Hi and welcome to another episode. My name is Tiana and you are listening to Living Fiercely. Today we're going to talk about three mental shifts that will change your life overnight if you apply them. And here's something that most people don't realize. Your entire life can change in just a moment, not in a year, not in five years, in one moment of real decision and everything shifts. I know this because I lived it and I've seen it in countless others, people who go from stuck and uncertain to completely unstoppable. And it all starts with one thing, shifting in how you think. So today, I'm giving you three powerful mental shifts that will completely change how you operate. And these aren't just ideas. These are perspective shifts that, if applied, will rewire how you see yourself, your time, and your life, starting right now. And if this episode hits home, please hit follow and send me a message on Instagram. My Instagram is tianadaray with all the shifts that stood out to you the most. And here is mental shift number one, is that your past does not equal your future. So most people are dragging their past into their future like a heavy suitcase. They refuse to drop, they let an old version of themselves dictate what they believe is possible listen who you were yesterday has nothing to do with who you can become today unless you want to be that old version of you but most people are stuck in the i've always been this way mindset i've never been good at speaking up so i guess i'm just a quiet person i've always struggled struggled with fitness so i guess i'm just not that i'm just not meant to be in shape I've never been confident, so I'll always doubt myself. And, you know, the list goes on. And that is a lie. It's an identity trap, and it's keeping you locked in place. New perspective would look like this. Instead of saying, I've never been good at this, say, up until now, I haven't prioritized mastering this thing, whatever it is that you are struggling with. Can you feel the difference? One keeps you stuck saying, I've always been this way. And the other one opens the door for growth and for new chapter. I haven't been like this until now. But from that now, you are creating a new story, a new version of yourself. And ask yourself, what is one area that you've been letting your past dictate your future? And what happens if you decide right now to break that cycle? then we come to the mental shift number two, and that is that you don't need more time. That is the biggest trap of I don't have the time. You need more intensity. And I hear this excuse all the time. I don't have the time. And listen, I get it. We all have responsibilities, but time is not the issue. We all have 24 hours. If time were the issue, then why do some people build a million dollar business in a year while others take a decade just to get started? People love using a lack of time as an excuse. Including myself, I've battled with that excuse for a very long time. I don't have the time to start a business. I don't have the time to work out. I don't have the time to fix my mindset. I don't have the time for self-care. I don't have the time to eat healthy, dot, dot, dot. But truthfully, it's never about time. It's about intensity. And I'll give you a bit of a ridiculous example so that you would understand this. If someone told you, can you make a million dollars this year? You'll probably say, I doubt it. But if somebody said... You make a million dollars this year or your whole family and everyone you love dies. How much more alert would you be to all the opportunities around you? How many excuses would you be making at that point? How many more sales calls would you be making? How much more resourceful would you become? How much more intensity would you bring to your work? I bet you wouldn't need any of that motivation stuff. And that's the intensity that I'm talking about. So the real issue is not the time. It's lack of intensity. You just have to get obsessed about the change that you want to make or whatever you want to create in your life. Successful people, they don't just work hard. They bring insane focus and energy to what they do. They don't dabble, they go all in. They don't wait for motivation, they create momentum through action. And I know you're thinking, but I can't be intense all the time. You don't need to be, but what if for one week, just one week, you operated at your highest level, no distractions, no hesitation, pure focus, what kind of results would you see? And here's a challenge for you. Choose one goal and attack it with full intensity for the next seven days and watch what happens. And we have mental shift number three. And that is, I think, the most important shift of all. And that is that you get what you tolerate. You get what you tolerate in life, in business, in relationships, in your own self-discipline. That is going to be your maximum. If you tolerate feeling tired all the time, you will stay tired. If you tolerate people walking all over you, guess what? They'll keep doing it. If you tolerate low standards for yourself, 20, 30, 40 pounds more, you'll keep having them. A lukewarm relationship, a business or a job that's just getting you by, that's exactly what you're going to get. Whatever you allow is what will continue. So ask yourself, what am I tolerating that I know is keeping me small? And here's the truth. The moment you decide you will no longer accept less than what you deserve, your life starts shifting. You start making decisions from a place of power, not from habit or fear. And here's a new rule for you. Set a new standard today, not next week, not next year, now. So I want you to identify one area. We're going to start with just one area where you've been tolerating less than you deserve. And I want you to commit to changing it immediately and bringing that standard to a new standard. And all right, so we come to the end of this episode and I want to break down what we learned today because I think that this episode was a game changer. First, we learned that your past does not equal your future. Who you were yesterday has nothing to do with who you choose to be today. You don't need more time. You need more intensity. The results you want aren't waiting for you. They're waiting for you to commit. You get what you tolerate. Raise your standards and everything else will rise with you and i want to leave you with an action step i want you to pick one of these shifts and apply them today not tomorrow today and if this hits home for you You can find me on Instagram.
