If I were to ask you who was one of the strongest examples of effective leadership that you’ve ever experienced, who would it be? For me, I am amazed at how much my mind goes back to someone who called out the best in me every single day, and it was when I was only four years old.

My kindergarten teacher, Mrs. Altizer is one of the strongest examples of leading with love and creating a culture of growth that I have ever experienced, and I have spent my life trying to emulate the principles that she lived out for me as a wide eyed buck toothed four-year-old. In this episode, I talk about three more things that Mrs. Altizer did every day that shaped my entire life as a leader. These three things we can apply to our leadership in business, in our families, and in our communities.

Never underestimate the power of leading through love. It is not soft. It is not rainbows and unicorns. It is strong. It is intentional. And it is absolutely life-changing.
