Hi, friends. Welcome back to Department 88. Today I'm starting something a little different. And this will be kind of over the next six weeks, we're going to take a step back and look at the big picture of spiritual growth. So I'm introducing you to my Spiritual Seasons quiz okay. So I'm going to walk you through an overview today of five seasons. Um, what they mean how to recognize if you're in one and what God might be doing in that place. So the reason is because when you know your season, you can stop striving and start partnering with God's timing and plan. Okay, so let's dive in. The first season, I call the healing season. This is for the woman who feels broken, stuck in pain, or like her past is dictating her present. It's a tender and holy space where God gently brings up the old lies and the wounds so he can begin the work of restoration. This was my story. I found myself sitting in therapy, engaging in eMDR, learning how to take thoughts captive and make them obedient to Christ. This is a verse in Second Corinthians ten five. It says, we capture like prisoners of war, every thought and insist that about in obedience to the Anointed One. Well, I knew that in theory, but I did not understand how to apply it in my daily life. But I was slowly realizing how deep these lies had taken root, and even deeper still, how present Jesus was to uproot them with his love. So healing does not mean you're broken beyond repair. It simply means God is strengthening your foundation. So the next season is even more powerful. Okay, season number two. I'm calling the boldness season. This is where you start reclaiming ground. It's time to silence the fear of man. Break the fear of failure and the fear of success and step forward with courage. This season is all about learning to hear God clearly and say yes, even when it feels risky. Boldness is not an absence of fear. It's faith in motion. You're moving forward. Um, in previous episodes, I've talked about how transformation happens in the context of relational joy. So when you know that God delights in this relationship with God is first and foremost the most important relationship in your life. And when you know he delights in you, you start making bolder decisions. So neural coaching helped me uncover beliefs that I didn't even know. Were there beliefs that had been limiting me? And y'all, I've done some significant inner healing for several years now. Yes, I was a hot mess like most people are. We all have stories that play in our head. We all have a subconscious that was programmed before we even were able to reason out our agreement with it. Okay, these programs come from our family of origin, our upbringing, experiences, things that were that are said over us, that we just believe because we don't know any better. Well, it becomes your automated system, and that system is working against you sometimes. Okay. Because of how our bodies are designed. Um, someone once likened our inside layers to that of an onion peeling one stinky thing back at a time. Okay, it may be that is what it feels like for you sometimes. It certainly is what it felt like for me. Um, but the result is a confidence in God. And I actually love what Todd White says. He says, I have confidence, you know, so not confidence. What it might be all about me, my strength, my ability, my capacity. But God, if it is that I can do anything when I'm in partnership with God. So if you're in the boldness season, you could be asking yourself in this question in your devotional time, where have I been playing small because of fear? This is a powerful question. Okay? And what truth is God inviting you to live out loud? So season one. Healing. Season two. Boldness. Season number three is the intimacy season. This one is probably my favorite. Well, an overflow which is coming up, but in the intimacy intimacy season, this one is all about connection. Connection with God. Connection with your true self and connection with others. You may feel God calling you to slow down. Okay. To cultivate daily rhythms of joy, stillness, worship, Scripture. This is not wasted time. This is preparation. And this is deep identity work. In Psalm 1611 it says, you will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. At your right hand are pleasures forevermore. It's in his presence that you remember who you are. That your worth is not your performance. Okay? Your worth is in belonging to God. Belonging in the family of God. Being in right relationship with him. So let me ask you. What daily rhythms would deepen your delight in God today? When I was in the midst of learning this season, I found Jeremiah 33 three to be my guiding verse. And it says something like, call to me and I will answer you, and I will tell you the mysterious or the hidden things, okay? So every morning I would sit down with my journal. Here I am, Lord. What do you want to share with me today? And if this sounds like where you are. Be gentle with yourself, okay? This season is a gift. And not only a gift, it's a treasure. You want to be in the intimacy season. Learning to cultivate these daily rhythms. Okay. Season number four is the overflow season. So this is where you begin to walk in your calling, pouring into others and impacting the world around you, not by your own strength and striving, but from the overflow of that intimacy. Okay. It's about being so full of God's presence that it naturally spills out of you. Your story, your healing, your walk with Jesus becomes a lifeline for someone else. And this this can look like being in the grocery store and you know you're talking to someone, maybe in the produce section. All of a sudden you feel compelled to share a piece of your story. This is overflow. You get to partner with the prophetic acts of God, who knows the heart of every single person around you at any given moment. He knows what they need to hear, and if he has positioned you in their life today. It could be because he wants to use your mouth. Your story and your life to witness to them, to encourage them, to build them up, to share the gospel, whatever it might be. God is always looking at how to love people, and he wants willing vessels who will partner with him to do it. Overflow is all about this. In John 738 it says, whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow within them. Overflow is sustainable when it's rooted in joy, not hustle. So if you're sensing a new assignment of fresh wind, ask yourself this question am I overflowing from rest or running on empty? You were made to live abundantly from the inside out. Okay. The next season. This is season number five, the awakening season. Finally, the awakening season is actually often the beginning. It's the nudge, the holy discontent that says there has to be more. I still remember the day that I felt somewhat defeated in my walk with the Lord. I had finished Bible school and felt like I had so much knowledge, but just really felt like I had all this knowledge, but it wasn't really affecting anything new or different in me. And I asked Jesus, is this all there is to following you? Is this what discipleship is? What am I missing? And his faithful spirit guided me. So maybe you're listening today and you can't quite put your finger on it, but you're not where you want to be. That sense, that's God awakening your heart. In Ephesians 514 it says, awake or asleep, or rise up from the dead, and Christ will shine on you. You might be just beginning your healing journey or coming back to God after a season of distance. Either way, God is inviting you to rise up. And if you're in the awakening season, the best step you can take is to say yes. Just say yes to the journey. He will meet you every step. So before you go. Don't forget to take the spiritual season's quiz. I have put the link in the description below. This is the first step to understanding the season that you're in. Healing, boldness, intimacy overflow or awakening and how to walk through it with purpose and grace. When you take the quiz, you will get a three part video series and an invitation to join me inside my 12 week inner healing and neuro coaching program. If you're longing to get free from what's been holding you back and finally live with joy and confidence, I would be honored to walk alongside you. This journey is sacred and you do not have to walk it alone. Whether you're healing, rising in boldness, cultivating intimacy, living in overflow, or waking up to what's next. God is with you and so am I. Until next time, I'm Amy Charbonneau, and this is Department 88.
