Hi, Friends,. I am Amy Charbonneau. Welcome back to Department 88, a space for Christians who are ready to rise, heal, and walk into the fullness of who God created them to be. Around here, we talk a lot about renewing the mind, healing from past wounds, and stepping boldly into your God given purpose and destiny. If you've been feeling stuck, stirred, or just plain spiritually hungry, I would love for you to take my spiritual season's quiz in about a minute. You're going to discover the season you're in and get your next steps, plus a custom video series I created just for you. You can take the quiz at the link in the description below, and I'll be walking with you every step of the way. Today's title the Overflow season living from the Abundance of God. Okay, this is one of my favorite topics. If you've ever felt this sense of spiritual momentum like your heart is full, your confidence is rising, and your intimacy with God is at an all time high. So far, you might just be in an overflow season. This is where the healing you've received, the bold steps you've taken, and the closeness with God that you have cultivated all begins to pour out in purpose, joy, and impact. But this season is not about perfection. It's about partnership. Let's talk about what it means to live in alignment with God's abundance, and let that overflow into every part of your life. Let's begin with Psalm 23 five says, you prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil. My cup overflows. Overflow comes when the cup of your life is being consistently filled by God's presence, and it spills over into your relationships, your creativity, your decisions, and your destiny. This doesn't mean everything is easy or perfect, but you begin to operate from a place of fullness, not striving from peace, not panic. We've all been there from joy, not burnout. Okay, and a good indicator of whether or not you're an overflow is are you exhausted when you've done ministry? Okay, so if you've gone to minister to someone, maybe a friend enlisted and it exhausts you, you come home and you're like, oh, you could be needing to get back into intimacy, into that secret place so that he's filling you. He's anointing your head with oil in your cup overflows. Okay. We have to be with him so full and filled up that we pour out. And it's continual. We're always pouring out. We're meant to. Okay, I like to say that overflow happens when heaven touches earth through you. You become a living conduit of God's goodness, and others start to notice they see you and they're like, what's different about her? And the answer is God is alive within you. This season often follows deep healing and increased boldness. You will let go of the old lies and you stepped into the truth of who you are. Now you get to live and lead from that place. Okay, so living abundantly, not anxiously. In John 1010, Jesus said, I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. Overflow isn't just spiritual height. It's rooted in trust, daily rhythms of connection with God, and a renewed mind. When we wire our brains with truth, we make decisions from alignment, not fear. Your thoughts shape your beliefs. Your beliefs shape your actions, and your actions shape your life. So overflow starts on the inside. If you want a different result, we gotta fix the inside to make it happen. Grab your journal and a pen or pencil. Here are a few reflective prompts if you're in the overflow season. Question number one. God, where am I seeing unexpected joy or breakthrough right now? Have you ever really stopped to think about that? You know, we can be walking through it and totally unaware that we're seeing unexpected joy or breakthrough, even though it's something we contended for and fought for. That moment of actually arriving in it can kind of go unnoticed. So when we stop and pause to ask God, where am I seeing unexpected joy or breakthrough right now? We get to express gratitude. We get to become aware. We get to thank him for what he's doing. You know, and then ask him this question. How can I steward what you're doing, Lord, without falling back into the hustle? Now I'm a doer, okay? I'm a recovering doer. I used to be a doer. You know I am being with God. That's my focus in this season of my life. I'm just being. Every single day. I'm with you, Lord. I'm here. I'm partnering with you. You know, one of the things I say often. I'm a vessel. Fill me up that I may overflow with whatever you want poured out today. You know, and it's just that. How can I steward what you're doing and not fall into? I have to hustle, hustle, hustle to do things, to do good things for God. Know we steward what he's doing in us by just letting him fill us to overflowing. And we move forward in peace, not panic. Okay? With joy. The next question. What boundaries help me protect peace in this season? Now, you probably know this by now. You know the enemy will try to distract you from intimacy with God. He's going to try to distract you from maintaining that connection. He doesn't want you connected. Okay, we know that. We're not unaware of his schemes. So what? Boundaries? Lord, help me protect peace in this season. That could be, um. Your quiet time with the Lord is non-negotiable. You know, maybe if you put your phone in a completely different part of the house so that you're not distracted by it. Um, maybe it's, you know, closing the door or putting a do not disturb sign on it. You know, I have a friends. I knew this about them. They would take turns. The mom and the dad, uh, and when they were in their bedroom with the sign hanging on the door, the kids were not allowed to interrupt, you know, and both parents weren't in there, so they had the opposite parent available. It's not like they were, um, without parental protection, um, or covering, but the parents guarded that for each other, you know, so the mom was like, we're not going to bother dad dads. And they're having time when Jesus. And that's the most important thing. Vice versa. So what boundaries help you protect peace in the season of overflow? Here's a question for your journal or your next prayer walk. God, what am I carrying right now that is meant to be poured out onto others? Because you know everything God does in you. It's not really for you. It's for who you are in the world. We simply represent him. Our assignment as ambassadors is to represent God. Okay? We represent. We represent Jesus in the earth. We are the follow up program. Okay? Jesus was here. He died to forgive sins, to pay the price, to usher in the Holy Spirit in this age of grace. Now we get to represent him. So maybe today you're meant to pour out healing. Maybe today you're meant to pour out encouragement or joy. Maybe today you're meant to pour out exhortation, maybe intercession. You know, maybe teaching or prophecy. I don't know what you're meant to pour out, you know, but it's meant to be poured out for others. Everything that you've learned is really not about you. It's about God becoming the answer to someone else around you. Okay. It's about others. It's about legacy. And so recently I was thinking about the, um, the verse about leaving, uh, an inheritance to your children's children. And commonly we hear that verse only in financial inheritance. Okay. But we leave a spiritual inheritance, too. Deuteronomy talks about the blessings that they go for a thousand generations. You know, so you leave a spiritual legacy and an inheritance to your children's children when you go through these processes and get healed and repaired and start living in partnership with God, overflowing. It impacts and changes your world, your family's world, even your family you don't even know is coming. And every single person you impact in the same way. This is a ripple effect legacy that it blows your mind when you sit and ask God to give you a picture of it. Okay. Um, and so lastly we're going to talk about impact influence and staying grounded. So one danger of the overflow season is pride or pressure. Now you may feel a surge of opportunity recognition or favor. And it can be tempting to run ahead of God. But this is when we double down on intimacy. We stay close to his voice. Remember, overflow comes from him, not from hustle. Overflow is not from our doing. It has nothing to do with us. It's him. Okay? We're not proving anything. It's his presence. Gushing out of us. Okay? Transformation happens in joy filled relationships. So when you stay connected to God and joy and surround yourself with people who are also reminding you who you are. Loving. As iron sharpens iron relationships, you are going to overflow. John 15 five Jesus said, I am the vine, you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit. Apart from me, you can do anything. Okay. In Psalm one, the psalmist writes that we will be like trees planted by streams of living water, whose roots grow down deep, and they bear fruit in season. You know, so our roots are growing down deep through intimacy, through healing, through boldness, you know, through the awakening of those previous seasons. And now overflow comes its fruit bearing. People experience you, and they taste and see the goodness of God in the land of the living in you. This is so Jesus gets his full reward. This is what it's about. Friends. Overflow. We get healed and transformed in how we think, how we believe, and how we act. Because out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. If we're going to speak life, we got to get the heart beliefs all fixed so that the only thing that comes out is life. Then you don't even have to mind your words because they're all coming from the glory of God. Amen. This season is an invitation to let God expand your influence without compromising your peace. Your cup is full and now pour with purpose. So before you go, don't forget to take the spiritual Season's quiz at the link in the description below.
