Jamie


Jamie Jackson, PhD (ABD) is a high school teacher with 13 years’ experience in Ontario. His research focuses on sustainable education practices, educator well-being, and holistic health. Driven by firsthand insights into stress and resilience, he is advancing asset-based, actionable strategies to support thriving within modern public education frameworks. Jamie holds a BA, Honours, with a major in French Studies and minor in German Studies, as well as a Master of Arts degree in European Studies– both completed at the University of Guelph in 2011, and 2012, respectively. Jamie is in the final stages of completing a PhD in Educational Sustainability at Nipissing’s Schulich School of Education in North Bay, & will defend his dissertation this spring. Jamie’s original & timely work bridges fields, including education, psychology, stress, traumatology, and public health, to address the pressing challenges facing public educators today.
