SPEAKER_00Hey, hey, welcome back to I Know a Girl, the cozy corner of the internet where we hype each other up, get raw and real, and remember, healing is hot. I'm your host, Morgan. And today's episode, we're talking about something that feels kind of small on the surface, but let's be real, it hits really deep. Okay. So have you ever found out that you weren't invited to something and it stung a little bit more than you expected? And maybe it makes you spiral and you're questioning your relationships, your worth, you know, are you good enough? Yeah. Well, I'm talking about that today. But maybe not in the way that you think. So recently I had a friend reach out to me and invite me to go to an event. Okay. Unfortunately, work stuff came up and I couldn't go. So I had to decline. But I had a friend that was hosting an event and I wanted to go and support her, so I invented I invited a few friends to this, right? One friend had told me that she wasn't sure if she was gonna go or not. She goes on to tell me that she found out that somebody threw a birthday party for a family member and they didn't invite her. And so at first, I said, I'm so sorry, that's really hurtful. Like I'm validating her feelings because if that was me, yeah, I'd feel absolutely shitty. You know what I mean? But then something just popped in my head, and I was like, well, you know what? After she told me that she felt that like it was very intentional because the person that planned it has never really respected her, so to speak. And uh so she felt like it was very intentional that she didn't get invited. Well, I didn't really want to go in deep on whether or not it was intentional or not, because I don't know the person that, you know, threw the party's intentions. However, I wanted to tell her, you know, instead of feeling like you missed out, like try try feeling joy that you missed out. Because you're not having to sit in a room where you feel unwanted. And you're not putting yourself in a situation where you have to overanalyze every interaction while you're there. And you're not gonna have to feel like you're proving yourself at all with anything that you do or say while you're there, which would then, you know, obviously leave you feeling drained for even going. So I told her, instead of feeling like shit because you didn't get invited, be happy that you didn't have to sit through a a shit show, right? And the wild part is, is a few days after that whole conversation, right? I had my own little test, right? The universe was like, oh, you gave great advice. Now let's see if you're gonna take it. And sure enough, I had somebody reach out to me and ask me if I was going to an event. And I said, What are you talking about? I don't know what you're talking about. And so they sent me the link for the event, right? Sure enough, I go to click on it and it says page unavailable. So I screenshot it and I sent it to them. And I'm like, oh, I'm blocked from this. I'm like, well, that so then they send me a screenshot of it, and I'm like, oh, that makes all the sense. The person that's hosting it, I don't really get along with, so to speak. And so it all started to make sense, right? And so then I say, like, oh, I understand why I didn't get invited or even know about it because I don't associate with this person. So, and they are like, oh, why? And to just put it blankly, or to put it bluntly, I just said, like, we don't have the same morals and values, we don't mesh, right? That's the best way to put it, because that's how it is. Like, I hold myself to a certain standard and I, you know, do things with good intentions. And I've found very many times that this person does not. And so instead of just, you know, going to the event anyways, like, because it is a public event, I'm choosing not to because I don't want to go and put myself in a situation where I I'm gonna be in a room with people that I know don't like me, you know? And that's okay. They don't have to like me. However, I've always treated them with love and kindness and respect, and they couldn't do that in return, and that's okay. That's fine. I don't have to be one of those people that they give love and kindness and respect to because look, my life is still going on without them in it, you know what I mean? So I am not upset at all that I didn't get invited to the event, and I'm actually already got a list of things that I'm going to do on that day instead, anyways. So, yeah, there's that. So, for anybody that's listening, if in the future or even in the past, you found that you were invited to something, even if it wasn't by people that you, you know, thought didn't like you, even if it's by somebody that does like you, don't get upset that you didn't get invited. Okay. Maybe they did just forget to invite you. Maybe they invited a few people that you associate with and they thought that they would just extend the invite. Try not to take it so personally, because one, you don't know if it's actually a personal hit at you. And even if it is, well, fuck them. Fuck them that they're trying to make you feel less than. Because you know what that means? It means they feel less than, and they're trying to make you feel the exact same way, babe, because misery loves company. And hurt people like to hurt people, sometimes intentionally, sometimes not intentionally. But look in the mirror and and see that you have the ability to make your own choices, and you can choose to not go, and you could choose to have a good time instead. And that's what I'm going to do. So, with that being said, let's get into our horoscope hype. And as always, we're gonna start with Aries. Have a friend who owns the room the second they enter it. Chances are your friend is an Aries, ruled by Mars, the planet of action and desire. Aries is a natural born leader. However, Mars also represents aggression, which explains why Ares is quick to anger, but also why they're fiercely protective of their loved ones. So once you're a part of their trusted cavalry, an Ares will gladly go to war for you. Taurus Once you're a friend of Taurus, you're a friend for life. Like their symbol, the bull, Taurus is strong, determined, and yes, a little stubborn, meaning once they have let you into their inner circle, there is no turning back. Gemini Gemini is like having two friends in one. Symbolized by the twins, your Gemini pal has a dual nature. On one side, Gemini is the life of the party. As an air sign, they have a lot to say and will keep you laughing all night long. But on the other side, they are distracted and brooding. So don't be discouraged. Underneath that tornado like energy lies a heart full of feelings. Cancer ruled by the moon, which represents feelings and your deepest needs, Cancer feels the tides of their emotions more intensely than most. And like the moon, their mood is constantly shifting from empathetic one minute to snappy to the next. No wonder why their symbol is the crab. Underneath a hard exterior lies a mushy center that longs to feel connected. You just have to crack it open first. Leos Strike a pose is a phrase quite fitting for Leo. Ruled by the sun, Leo is a natural performer whose exuberant energy is quite contagious. When you're in the company of a Leo, you can't help but be struck by their warmth. If you can live with their mighty roar, they'll welcome you into their pride with open arms. Virgos. Ruled by Mercury, the messenger of the gods and the planet of communication and intellect, a Virgo is quite the whip smart. With an insatiable thirst for knowledge, their unmatched brain power is always ten steps ahead of everyone else. Your Virgo pal doesn't mind digging deep into any and all of your issues, from your latest breakup to your career woes and will offer analytical and observant advice. Libras. The person voted most popular in your high school was most likely a Libra. It's easy to fall under the naturally charming Libra spell. Ruled by Venus, the planet of love, Libra thrives in a harmonious and affectionate environment, one which is preferably also visually stunning because your Libra friend adores beautiful things. Once you make it on their VIP list, you have a friend for life. Scorpio Unapologetically intense and known for often getting lost in deep thought, signs don't get any deeper than a Scorpio. They're the friend to call when you're facing a crisis or when you want to discuss all things deep, dark, and sexy. Thanks to their sharp intuition, they instinctly know which friends are best suited for them. Beware though, once you're in a Scorpio squad, you're there until death do you part. Sagittarius Once you converse with the chatty and laugh out loud funny Sagittarius for a few minutes, you'll discover why they are the most likable, exciting person you will ever meet. With the king sized planet Jupiter as their ruler, Sagittarius lives life to the fullest and will inspire you to do the exact same. Capricorn Symbolized by the seagoat, there are two sides to a Capricorn. The first side represents their ambitious, take charge nature, while the other side represents the sensitivity lurking beneath the surface. While their stoic nature can be off-putting at times, your Capricorn friend is privately an emotional person whom you could always rely on for support. Aquarius imaginative, innovative, and eccentric. Aquarius is a truth teller who wants to make the world a better place. They prefer to approach relationships with logic and reasoning, which is why they're able to visualize new possibilities and solutions. They don't let emotions cloud their thought process. No wonder your Aquarius friend is your go-to person when it comes to solving any conflict. Pisces. Pisces is a good natured, sensitive soul who's probably a little psychic. Okay, probably a lot psychic, but they're the last sign of the zodiac and they embody characteristics of the other signs, which allows them to connect deeply with everyone they meet. They're the friend who constantly texts you after your breakup to make sure you're alright, and then show up at your house with chicken soup when you're sick. So I suppose I could get into our tarot card poll of the episode and then let you guys get on with your lives, get on with your day, your week. I hope you've been having a great week. What does the universe have to tell us today? So the card that we picked today is the Emperor. And the Emperor stands for authority, stability, and structure. It represents leadership, embodying power, discipline, and control. This card signifies a protective father figure, focusing on rules, practicality, and respect. So yeah, pretty much what this whole episode is like, because I'm guiding not only myself, but my friends in you know keeping their emotions stable and helping them realize that they don't need to go be in spaces where they're not liked or respected just out of fear of missing out, you know? You don't need to be in rooms where you don't feel welcome. So hopefully this episode resonates with somebody other than myself and my friend who who we just spoke about. So I before I wrap this up, I want to say thank you to everybody that continues to tune in to listen every week. Thank you to everybody that tunes in every week and listens with good intents and isn't just listening so they could, you know, gossip and brag about every episode that I put out on here. Because I uh definitely know that that's going on for sure. Um and if you are listening with not in good intent, I hope you find peace within yourself and do some inner work on yourself because I'm literally just living my life, doing things that make me happy, and I'm not trying to hurt, harm, or bother literally anybody. So if you're coming on here and only listening to make fun of what I'm talking about, shame on you. I actually like struggled with myself on whether I wanted to even address this, but I guess I'm going to right now. It's been brought to my attention that there's been people that have been listening to this podcast with ill intent, and then they will listen to episodes and then joke about me, joke about what's being talked about. And I really think that's shitty. Because this is this isn't anything other than just a passion project. I don't get paid for this, I'm not doing anything to get paid for it. I literally just passionately care about people, and I want everybody to feel like they are safe. And there's a lot of shitty fucking people in here, like well, not in here, but in the world. And um we don't need any more. We don't need you to multiply. And like I've said earlier in the episode, hurt people, hurt people. And I'm not gonna let your actions hurt me anymore. So if you're coming here to pick on me or situations that I talk about, or even the people or situations that come to me in this safe space, that says a lot about you. And you should probably go get that checked. In fact, you should go talk to somebody about it because, like I just said, I'm not doing anything. I'm literally just trying to help people feel safe, not only in themselves, but like in their own lives, in their own areas. Like, there's been too many people that have tried to make me feel like shit because they obviously feel like shit. And uh, I'm way too special enough to let that happen anymore. So, yeah, that's all I'm gonna say about it. And if you're listening with good intent, well, please come back. I love you so much. And um yeah, even to the people that don't, that are that are listening and still like being a jackass. At some point, I hope you come back and you you do resonate with the things that I say and you do start to make the change in your life and and better yourself, and so you could stop doing shitty fucking things to people. Alright, I'm done. I love you guys a lot. So thank you so much for tuning in and listening and you know, feeling good after you leave here. And if this episode did resonate, or even if it didn't resonate, please just give me a review. Drop me a review wherever you're listening to this. Go follow me on socials. I'm on Instagram, I'm on TikTok. Um I'm not gonna tell you the handles because they're gonna be linked down in the show notes. But yeah, I just want to say I really do love you. I appreciate you so much. Thank you for showing up. Thank you for giving me a purpose. And I hope you have a great rest of your week. And if you don't, well, come tell me about it and I will tell you sweet nothings about yourself. Not sweet nothings, but I'll tell you all the sweet great things about yourself and I'll turn your perspective around. Okay? I love you. You're not alone. And fuck people that are shitty to you. I know this is supposed to be all about love and light, but sometimes I think we just need to just say, fuck off to the people that are so dedicated to seeing the bad in you. And they're not dedicated to, you know, fixing themselves, fixing their mindset, fixing their lives. All right, I love you. Bye. Have a great day, have a great week. I'll see you next week.
