In this episode I talk about this little piece of advice I've been sharing a lot lately: asking for guidance from the universe. Or ancestors, God, your higher self. WHOEVER you feel comfortable asking from. I swear there's just something magical about not trying to force or understand everything and become willing to receive one instead. Instruction Hey hey! Welcome back to I Know a Girl, the cozy corner of the internet where we hype each other up, get a little raw and real, and remember, healing is hot. I'm your host Morgan, and at least I would hope that you would know that by now, because we have been doing this almost a year. Almost a year, guys! Today we're talking about something that has come up in many conversations lately, and I feel like it deserves its own episode. I often find myself giving the same advice to people. Not because I have all the answers, not because I'm like this great spiritual guru, but because I've seen a lot and I know what works for me. And this advice is very simple. I want you to ask for guidance from your guides or God or the universe or your ancestors, your highest self, whatever the language feels right for you. But I want you to ask and then pay attention. I don't know when I first started doing this, however, I'm realizing that I've been a little intuitive since I was really young. I've always been the girl that was looking for signs in some type of thing or way, always noticing synchronicities. And it wasn't until just recently that I'm realizing that like these synchronicities were happening for a reason, you know, because the universe always delivers for me. Everything always works out for me, and everything happens for a reason, right? When I don't know the decision to make, when I feel confused or I'm hurting, I'm scared, I just ask my guides to show me what I need to know. Not what I wanted to know, not what make me feel comfortable, not what would validate my current beliefs, but show me what I needed to know. And sometimes I think people get a little stuck. They ask for guidance and then they get the guidance and they're like, nope, that doesn't count. But sometimes the answer is exactly the thing you're trying hardest to avoid. So recently I had several people come to me feeling completely stuck, right? Whether it be in relationships, jobs, grief, maybe even just like an uncertainty of where they are right now in their life. But even after giving them like tarot card reads and stuff, they just still didn't feel like they were getting the right insight and guidance that they needed, right? So I told them to just ask their guides. You have to be specific. You have to say, hi, universe or God or whatever you want to ask, right? Find find the right terminology for yourself, but then you need to ask specifically. So, for example, I had a girlfriend a few weeks ago ask me what she should do in this situation. And I gave her the truth. I don't think that the job that she is in right now is entirely for her. And I don't think the company that she works for values her completely, right? And so I told her, just ask your guides, you know, but you need to be specific. So you say, hello, universe. I'm asking for guidance because I don't feel like this job is meant for me anymore. If it is, I want to see a specific item or number or whatever the sign may be. I want to see this sign in and then give a time period. And then you just let it be. Just go on with your day, right? And if the sign shows up within that time period, that is your confirmation from the universe because there are no coincidences, remember? Everything happens for a reason. So whether you know you asked for, well, in this situation, she asked to see a yellow car. Within the hour of her leaving her job, she saw a yellow card. And she sent me a message immediately. And she's like, girl, I asked for a yellow car in confirmation that I need to leave this job. And wouldn't you know? I left this job and I immediately saw a yellow car. And I'm like, right, I told you your guides would respond immediately. However, she still wasn't believing it. So she, you know, called her guides back in and said, you know, if this job really isn't meant for me, I need to see two more yellow cars. Let me tell you, her guides were probably shaking their head at her because not only did they deliver two more cars, yellow cars, she's sending me a message about it. And I'm like, yeah, like it's really, they're really confirming that you need to leave this job. It's not for you. Your joy is depleting every single time you go there, right? So she's like, okay, whatever. I'm this is the last time. I'm just gonna ask to see a third car, right? And so she gets back on the throughway where I think she was headed home at the time, and she saw a big yellow box truck. So she got all the confirmation, all the validation that this job honestly isn't for her anymore and that she needs to seek out better options. However, she's not in the financial state to just quit on the spot. So she's come to the conclusion that she's gonna give it a couple more weeks so she could stash up some cash, like a little safety cushion, and then she's gonna put in her two-week and then she's going to leave. I have to add that this is not her uh primary full-time job. So don't be thinking that she's gonna just quit her job out of nowhere after giving her two weeks and not have something else to land back on. She she has that cushion as well. However, this this other job that she's working at, she's been there for years and she's very passionate about the people that she helps and the people that she works with. However, let me tell you another story. I was before I actually started recording this, I was talking with somebody else, and they were telling me that, you know, they really don't think that the relationship that they're in is in her best interest, and they've been through so much, but there's just no growth in the relationship anymore. And there's a lot that needs to be kind of dealt with on her partner side in order for the growth to happen. And so I was like, you know, call your guides in on this. I don't know if you've ever done this before, but I want you to call your guides in on it. And she kind of like, I could tell that she was like, oh, what do you mean by that? So I gave her the whole spiel, you know what I mean? Just ask the universe, ask your highest self, ask God if that's who you believe in. But whoever it is that you're gonna call in for guidance and say, is me and such and such meant to be? Are we end game? If so, I want to see a red bird in the next three days and let go of it and just be mindful, you know, of if you see a red bird, oh shit, the universe is providing me the valid validation that I need. However, if you don't see the red bird or whatever the sign is that you chose to see within the time period, if you don't get that sign within that time period, then it just means that it wasn't meant to be. All right. I think the most beautiful thing about this whole situation about asking for guidance isn't the answer that you get. It's the relationship or the reminder that you don't have to carry every decision by yourself. That you're allowed to pause. You're allowed to admit that you don't know all the answers. I think so many of us walking around believing that we need to know every single answer right on the spot, and that's probably why we're all so exhausted all the time. But I want you to remember sometimes guidance doesn't always look like a yes, sometimes guidance doesn't look like a firm no either. Sometimes it looks like a delay. But let's get into our little soft life starter kit because I haven't done that in a while, and I feel like this episode needs it, okay? So for this week's soft life starter kit, it's very simple. It's to ask for help. All right, that's it. Not from Google, not from TikTok, not from, you know, 10 different people. I want you to spend five minutes asking for guidance from your guides, and then I want you to listen to what they say. Okay. If you're having trouble with anything in your life, it could be as simple as like, you know, what should I have for dinner tonight? Okay, maybe not as simple and something as simple as that, but like, really, I want you, I want everybody that listens to this episode to at least try this once and see if it works out for you, because I'm guaranteeing it will. I want you to ask your guides and listen to what they tell you. All right, let's get into our horoscope hype for this episode. Aries, you are fearless. So yeah, it kind of just goes in hand in hand when I'm telling you guys to ask your guides for guidance. Because you're searching for a deeper meaning, whether that be within yourself or your highest self or your ancestors, God, whatever you believe in. You're searching for a deeper meaning. So this is definitely this definitely resonates for what we're what we're saying. We're on our way to self-healing and realigning. We're realigning for harmony, that's for sure. All good things. Okay, so before I end this, I actually want to give a little, I'm gonna give you a little story of the last time I actually used my guides. And I'm kind of a little embarrassed that I haven't talked to them or asked them for guidance since this last time. But the last time I used my guides is when I asked them for guidance on whether or not I should start this podcast. And no matter how many people that I talked to that kept saying, yes, follow your heart, you would be perfect for this, da-da-da-da-da-da. Even the cards, my tarot cards, have told me that it was a good idea, but I just needed that final little blessing, right? Final little validation. And so I asked the guides, I asked my guides, is starting a podcast in my best interest? Is this what I'm meant to do with my life? And if it is, give me the sign of 555 within the next 24 hours, right? And so I just left it as that. I continued on with the rest of my day, and then later on in the day, I had to go to the grocery store. And so I ran in quick to get a couple of things, a couple small things, and my total ended up being 555, right? And so in my head, I was like, oh, I wonder if that's my confirmation from earlier, right? Didn't think too much about it because there was a million people around me. So I just, you know, went on with my day, right? But as I so I got in my car, I'm on my way home, I'm jamming out to a song, and all of a sudden I just felt called to check what time it was, and it was 5-5-5. Another sign from the universe of yes, bitch, yes, that is the right thing to do. That is your purpose. Listen to everything and everyone in that little tiny voice inside you that said, Yes. And so, yeah, here we are, almost a year later, on I Know a Girl, hyping up women and believing in myself and learning to love myself more. So imagine if I kept getting these signs that I was supposed to start this podcast and never did. I don't really want to think about what would happen if this safe space wasn't here for not only myself, but for everybody that listens too. So if you're going through something, even if you kind of think it's silly to ask your guides, just do it. When those signs come in from your guides, you're like, holy shit. Holy shit. So give it give it a chance. Give it a chance, and then message me whether you got the signs that you needed to hear or if they didn't show up for you. I want to know, either way. Because everybody that I've told to try asking their guide, their guides for insight has reported back with nothing but good news. So I'm I'm sharing, sharing the wealth, not gatekeeping.
