LT Prasad, born in Guyana, migrated to Queens, NY, and graduated HS in 1997. Enlisted, trained as a Hospital Corpsman (HM) and Surgical Tech. Served at Naval Hospital Jacksonville, then specialized in Ophthalmology. Deployed with USNS Comfort for Hurricanes Rita/Katrina. On USNS Comfort (2008), earned Surface Warfare, advanced to HM1, and led surgical response in Haiti (2010). Served in Bahrain, then NBHC Hawaii (2012), becoming LPO, CPO, and Navy Liaison. In 2015, at 2D Marine Division, was Battalion Chief and Regimental SEL. Deployed to CA and Okinawa. In 2018, to NEPMU-7, Spain, as Senior Enlisted Leader. Earned MPH and direct commission as LTJG/Industrial Hygienist. Graduated ODS and Navy Medicine 101. Served at U.S. Naval Hospital Guam as Division Officer and Head of Force Health. Holds AA, BS, Industrial Hygiene Certificate, and MS. Awards include Commendation and Achievement Medals.
