Pat McCool

Pat McCool is a comedian and author of Bonsai Wasn't Really That Big of a Hill: One Man's Walk Toward God. His teenage years were filled with bad decisions that kept him in and out of trouble and almost cost him his life. By the time he was 18, those bad decisions landed him in a jail cell facing a prison sentence. God's grace spared him from that, and the circumstances surrounding him getting one more of many second chances made him realize God had always been with him.

He entered the insurance business where he met his wife of 35 years and became a successful executive. While he enjoyed professional success, he felt God had a deeper purpose for his life, so after 20 years he gave it up to pursue a career in comedy. His decision to become a follower of Jesus changed his life from despair to joy and has given him a passion to help others have the same experience.

Richard Turrell

Richard Turrell is a UK Based psychotherapist specialising in working with Addictions and Trauma. Following a long personal battle with addiction himself, he began to seek help through 12-Step groups. This led him on a journey into spirituality and religion. Having sought answers to the emptiness that had long plagued him in various spiritual settings, he stumbled through the door of a recovery-focused Christian ministry. What followed is a story of pain, struggle, repentance and ultimately a deep, personal encounter with Jesus which touched the broken parts inside that nothing else had ever reached. Richard’s passion is sharing his testimony that others might have the opportunity to experience the same freedom he has, and helping people understand what grace really is in the context of 21st century Christianity.
