Welcome to Read RomComs with Steph. I’m your host, Stephanie Oswald, Ph.D., a romance reader, writer and total fangirl of so many RomCom authors. This podcast was born from my love for geeking out about reading romance. This isn't going to be your typical book club style approach. There's no critiquing or review happening here. It's going to be a celebration of the writing, the characters, the stories, the authors, the indie bookstores, the gossip that's breaking the internet, and what keeps you coming back to RomComs time and time again. Those squealing fan moments when you've connected with other readers about your love for books that gift us with incredible stories and the promise of a happy ever after or happy for now ending. It’s also near and dear to my heart, quite literally, as reading romance is what helped me navigate a very tough health diagnosis in 2014 when I learned, upon my mom’s sudden passing, that like her, I have a genetic heart condition that can lead to an instant heart attack. Finding my way back to the shelves of romance books helped me navigate anxiety and overwhelm, and eventually brought me out of my shell to start my own romance writer journey.
