Hey guys, welcome back to this week's podcast. In today's episode, we're gonna be talking about the often forgotten or overlooked secret ingredient to achieving your health and fitness goals. Now, at TF, we work with our clients to improve their health through the four pillars of health, okay? So that means we work with clients on their nutrition habits, their exercise habits, their sleep habits, and also their mindset, okay? And mindset can be the thing that makes or breaks you, not just in your health and fitness or your goals, but your life in general, right? Often we talk about peer pressure, we talk about environments, we talk about who you spend time with, when we're parenting our kids, right? We all want our kids to hang around with the right people in the right places, avoid the toxic people and the toxic places because we know when we're parenting them that that can have huge consequential effects on where our kids end up in life. But the same is true for adults, right? And being in the right environment around the right people can be the single biggest thing that catapults you towards health, longevity, fitness, or drags you back down away from achieving those goals. And one of the biggest things that we do at Transformation fit is we provide that supportive, enthusiastic, positive, and results driven environment to help you flourish and achieve your goals. So on Saturday, we just wrapped up our Winter Olympics event. We had 40 clients attend for a morning of different health and fitness events and challenges. And the biggest feedback that we had from people about that event was just for positivity, right? The community. No matter what team you were on, there was somebody in your corner by your side, backing you and pushing you and supporting you right throughout the day. And there was a couple of standout performances. Now, there's a lady that I worked with on a one-to-one basis every single week named Freaky. She's been getting some incredible results recently with her weight loss and we've been practising dead hangs, okay? That's a great way to improve your shoulder health. It's a great way to improve your back, your grip strength. There's many benefits to dead hangs. Now, when we've been in training, the maximum she's been able to get to is holding herself in a dead hang for like 26 seconds, I think it was. Now, the day before the event, she held a dead hang for 26 seconds. The day of the event, she held a dead hang for 90 seconds, okay? So did she increase her grip strength by 300% overnight? No, she didn't. Did she have a different trainer on Friday than she did on Saturday? No, she didn't. The single biggest difference was the environment, okay? And you are the average of the five people you spend the most time with. So if you're not happy with the level of results that you're getting in not just your health, your fitness, but also your life right now, you need to get around people who are going to help bring you up and level up yourself so that you can start achieving your goals. Your environment is going to shape your results way more than your motivation ever will, okay? When you're surrounded by people who want you to win, who want you to be the best version of yourself, that rubs off on you and you start believing in yourself more, okay? So just take Freaky, for example, going from a 26 second dead hang to a 9 second dead hang overnight, okay? Look at many other people that we've got in our community. Are we the best personal trainers in the world? Probably not. There's probably somebody who's better than us in some way, shape, or form, okay? But I tell you what, we are world class at. We are world class at bringing people together who all have similar goals, okay? And when you put that many people in a room on a regular basis, you get more out of yourself. So with you're struggling, with your health and fitness right now, don't just look at your diet plan. Don't just look at your training plan. You've got to look at your environment, who you're spending time with, and is that a positive results driven, challenging environment where you're going to get the best out of yourself? If not, it might be time to look at ways that you can shift that and change that environment so you can start achieving those results that you're craving for.
