Katharina Janus
Katharina Janus is a healthcare strategist, professor, and founder of Fourth Quarter Life, a platform focused on navigating longevity, caregiving, and the future of aging. Over a 25-year career spanning managed care, hospital systems, academia, and consulting, she has worked across the U.S., Europe, and Asia advising leaders on healthcare markets, incentives, and system design.
She previously founded the Center for Healthcare Management and has held academic appointments including at Columbia University. Katharina is known for her work on “relationship-based care,” integrating human motivation with system reform. Her work explores how aging impacts workforce productivity, competitiveness, and capital allocation, challenging boards and investors to treat longevity as a strategic priority rather than a niche healthcare issue.
