David Betts
David Betts spent more than two decades at Deloitte as a senior partner, where he built and led a public health practice serving 20 states with more than 400 professionals. His work centered on customer experience and human-centered strategy in healthcare, with a focus on making care more accessible and competitive for health systems navigating a changing market.
In 2024, Betts was diagnosed with ALS. Rather than stepping back, he channeled his experience as a strategist into building Talk to Me Goose, an AI-enabled text-to-speech application that gives people living with speech-limiting conditions their voice back. He founded Story Flight Labs, a public benefit corporation, and partnered with the Live Like Lou Foundation to make the solution available.
Betts is currently enrolled in a Phase 2 clinical trial and continues to advocate for faster, more human-centered innovation in healthcare.
