SPEAKER_01:Hey, welcome to the very first official episode of Mentally Rejuvenate with me, Glenda Lazo. Y'all, let's just dive right into it because I really want to talk about this me season that I'm in right now. This complete me transformation that is happening as we speak. And what's really interesting about that is I had a very, I don't even know how to explain it, but a very linear perception about being in a me season. I kind of thought I already went through a me season. I thought that having a me season was just a one-time thing. It's I had my me season. I spent years in it. I worked on myself. I did the self-love journey. I did the mental wellness journey, still on the mental wellness journey and self-love journey, but really went in with that journey of me. So I thought, oh, that's my foundation. I'm good. I'm not going to have another me journey or transformation like that. Man, probably about a month or so ago is when it hit me like, whoa, I'm about to be in another Very important and major me season. It's so interesting because I walked into it feeling good about it. I'm like, okay, great. This is just to get me to the next level, another level of growth. What was also really interesting about it is I walked into it thinking of the fun things. The, okay, I'm going to get more massages and I'm going to get facials and I'm going to do all these beautiful things to amp up my self-care. Here's the thing. That me journey, that me transformation, the fun stuff is there. Do the fun stuff. Do the things that feel good. But it's not always going to feel good. There's going to be aspects of that me journey that are not going to feel good. they're going to be uncomfortable because that's also needed to elevate yourself. That's also needed for growth. And so those things for me right now are having a better sleep schedule, waking up early in the morning. Anyone who knows me personally knows how major that is. I've always been, not that I've always been, I think when I was maybe a kid, I wasn't a night owl, but for the longest time, most of my adulthood, I've been a night owl. So I call myself a recovering night owl. So anyone who knows me knows that waking up early in the morning is just not my jam, but I've realized this is what I need as part of this me journey. So me journey is going to, again, incorporate this fun stuff, the self-care, the loving stuff. Yay, awesome. And it's also going to incorporate some uncomfortable things that you have to do as well. So I want you to ask yourself whether you're currently in a me season, whether you're just looking to just amplify yourself as a whole. Maybe you're not in a me season. But you're just looking to just amplify the things that you do for yourself. I want you to think about what is something or some things you can be doing more for yourself. This is something we can ask ourselves no matter where we're at the journey. And it's something we need to continuously ask ourselves because it can change. I told y'all, I thought I already went through the me journey. The me journey. I thought I was done already. But now it's happening on another level. So ask yourself these questions. What is it that you can continue to do for yourself? continue doing for yourself, whether it feels good or whether it doesn't. And the last thing I want you to really, really think about is, especially if you're embarking on a me journey or a me season like I'm in, or you've been in it for a little while, allow the journey to move you as well. Wait, pause. No, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen, listen. Allow the journey, this me journey, this me transformation, to guide you as well because there are going to be things that you don't even realize that are going to come up and it literally happened to me today I was not looking for to add anything to the journey specifically or to this season but it happened organically it didn't hit me until maybe like 20 or so minutes ago Now let me tell you what happened. So I'm with a lifestyle design coach right now. Her name is Shawna K. Super, super, super, super dope. Oh my goodness. And I've been doing the How to Navigate Change webinar series with her. When she was done doing her speech and going through different concepts, she was like, all right, well, how can I support you? And y'all... Y'all, I got all emotional. I was telling her what's going on. And let me just, let me just let y'all know. Crying is an important release. I'm gonna, as someone who is a big wellness and mental wellness advocate, crying is needed. But I don't like crying. I just don't. And my perception is always, if I am gonna cry, I'm gonna do it privately. But... The way it works with me holding things in sometimes without realizing, it comes out the same way it came out today with Shauna. So I'm here crying and getting emotional and telling her what's going on and sharing this. And she's like, Glenda, you need an outlet. You're a visionary, parentheses. She's a visionary as well and coaches a lot of visionaries. So she's like, you're a visionary. You need an outlet, not just any outlet, not just writing a blog. I need you to do either an audio podcast or I need you to do a video something, something. She's like, you don't have to publish it if you don't want to. And so hence why I'm publishing this episode What she didn't know is I've been sitting on this podcast for I don't know how many months now. It might even be close to a year at this point. But she was saying that I really needed to really release Whether I post a podcast publicly or not, it doesn't matter. She's like, don't focus on monetizing. Don't focus on sharing it with your email list. Just do it for yourself. So in the moment, I'm just receiving it, just wiping my tears. And I'm hearing her, I'm like, okay, I'm going to do that. And it didn't hit me until we got off the call and I'm like, there you go, Glenda. We're adding to this me season. I'm like, oh my goodness. Again, I'm in this me season and it keeps following me even if I'm not doing it intentionally. So again, let the journey guide you. I allowed that to happen. It's not like I was like, no, Shauna, that's not part of my me season right now. I'm not doing, no. I just received it and I realized that and it's just so beautiful that it came up at the perfect moment. So make sure y'all think about what is it that you can do for yourself, whether you're in this me season or not. Until next time, y'all, see you episode two.
