Welcome to Two Frogs Talking—a Southern-spun, SoCal-influenced storytelling podcast where tall tales meet real-life reflections, and two cousins try to out-tell each other one strange adventure at a time.

Hosted by Archie Fields and Shelly Smith—two frog cousins raised on family legends, philosophical side quests, and a healthy dose of mischief—this audio series invites you onto the proverbial porch for a mix of silly, heart, and things that might’ve happened (but probably didn’t).

Archie Fields is a laid-back frog from Mobile, Alabama, sporting a white tee, worn jeans, and boots built for wandering. He’s a thinker with a twinkle in his eye—raised on Southern stories, front porch wisdom, and the occasional ghost tale. Archie once rode a tornado, nearly got married in the worst way, and still drives his trusty 1980s Ford Bronco, which he’s fixed more times than he’ll admit. He’s the kind of frog who prefers fishing to fame, and silence over small talk—but don’t mistake that for empty space. Archie’s full of surprises, including a mischievous streak that keeps his cousin Shelly on her toes. He listens more than he talks, but when he speaks, it’s usually something worth hearing.

Shelly Smith is a SoCal frog with Alabama roots, a wild sense of adventure, and a calendar full of volunteer gigs, from dog beach patrol to equine therapy. Based in Huntington Beach, she runs a doggie daycare and lives for the outdoors—off-roading, surfing, and desert camping whenever she can. Shelly falls in love fast, drives like she means it, and has a knack for getting tangled up in things most frogs would sidestep. She doesn’t name her vehicles (that’s more Archie’s thing), but she’ll give you a nickname in ten seconds flat. Raised on family storytelling trips, Shelly’s stories are big, bold, and occasionally a little sandy. She’s quick to laugh, ready with a comeback, and always chasing the next curiosity.
