She moved to Rochester in 2023 for work , honing here skills in entertainment and human-interest journalism, with a focus on amplifying underrepresented voices and communities. Known for her relatable approach and commitment to authenticity, Sananda combines her passion for the arts with a deep sense of social responsibility. Her work reflects a strong belief in the power of media to inform, inspire, and drive meaningful change.

Jaclyn Johnson

Jaclyn Johnson is the newly appointed Managing Director of the Rochester Civic Theatre, bringing with them nearly 20 years of experience in nonprofit theatre leadership. Passionate about building community through the arts, Jaclyn is a dedicated advocate for cultural engagement and increasing access to live performance.

Before joining Rochester Civic Theatre, Jaclyn served as Artistic Director at Festival Theatre in St. Croix Falls and as Director of Production at Commonweal Theatre. Their work extends beyond the stage as well—Jaclyn is also an organizer for Gamesboro, a gaming convention based in Lanesboro, Minnesota.

Driven by a deep belief in the power of the arts to inspire positive change, Jaclyn is committed to expanding educational programming, collaborating with local organizations, and amplifying diverse community voices to help shape a more inclusive cultural landscape in Rochester.
