John serves as the Director of BioPharmCatalyst where he is responsible for project management and business strategy, as well as overseeing day-to-day operations. Prior to joining the BioPharmCatalyst team in April of 2021, John spent 10 years working within financial services across some of the major institutions in the industry, including Blackrock, J.P. Morgan, and Fidelity, where he mainly focused on business development and client engagement. John double majored in Finance and Spanish and received his degrees from Saint Joseph’s University.

Sheff is a retired pharmaceutical executive who spent 21 years at Pfizer and 6 years at Merck. He has been trading biotech for 15 years, with a specific focus on biotech and pharma stocks with upcoming or pending catalysts. He is also the asset manager of his own personal biotech fund. Sheff graduated from Denison University with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, and also attended Yale Business School for Management. Sheff has been on Twitter since 2010 sharing his trading thoughts with individual investors. His passion is helping individual investors to become better traders, and using his knowledge to help raise money for children who are disadvantaged, mainly with cancer or blindness.
