Chris Hibbert
Chris Hibbert has dedicated his life to supporting and inspiring young people. He progressed through the scouting movement and became a leader, aiming to broaden the horizons of young people by encouraging new experiences and leading exchange visits to Spain and Canada. He led his group on a charitable endeavour, raising £5,000 for an MS therapy centre by carrying a wheelchair-bound supporter up Ben Nevis.
Chris later supported Leos, a youth project of Lions, and helped develop a District Leo Club. He and his wife Sue founded Romanian Pride to ‘Give Children a Childhood’ in Romanian Centres of Placement since 2001.
Recently, Chris focused on food sustainability, creating the Lions Gleaning Hub and Lions Feeding the 5,000 projects, raising awareness of food surplus and waste. He enjoys sharing stories to inspire others and believes in the significant impact one can have on people.
