More Than Dance
Dance. Mindset. Motivation.
More Than Dance is where real life meets the dance floor.
Hosted by Krissy Phillipino, a dancer, choreographer, and studio owner with over 30 years in the industry. This podcast dives into the mindset reframes and quiet magic that take shape in the choreography, inside the studio, and through the work of showing up for yourself over and over.
Expect episodes packed with storytelling, dance wisdom, raw truths, and the kind of pep talks you didn’t know you needed.
This isn’t just about dance.
It’s about who you become when you let yourself go all in, even through the ugly stages, the moments when nothing feels like it’s clicking yet, and the times when you question yourself.
From confidence and self worth to mindset shifts and breakthroughs More Than Dance is where movement meets transformation.
Whether you're a seasoned dancer, brand new to movement, or simply someone who craves personal growth and deep, honest conversations, this space is for you.
Because this was never just about dance.
It’s about who you become while dancing.
It’s more than dance.

Rehearse Your F*ck Up: Making Mistakes Like A Pro | Ep 6
Mistakes, mess ups, f*ck ups are not optional.
They happen on stage, at practice, at work and in life. The goal isn’t perfection. (Remember that's impossible because perfection doesn't exist!)
The goal is knowing what to do when something goes wrong… and making sure no one else even notices.
In this episode, I talk about what I call "rehearsing the f*ck-up*", the art of bouncing back in real time, pivoting, and leaning on your other talents to get you through it.
I share a story of my very first DJ experience, a wedding, which had me panicking because something did not go according to plan.
I got through it the way I’ve gotten through a lot of things by using the same tools we use on stage:
→ I leaned on my talent
→ I acted like nothing happened (a very useful secret)
→ And I redirected attention by using presence, poise, and the power of distraction.
In dance, much like in life you can always recover...even more so when you believe that you can.
When you know how to use your other qualities (your stillness, your lines, your energy, your gaze), you create a moment that no one questions... I call it an accidental solo.
This episode is part story time, part strategy, and a full permission f*ck up beautifully.. remember "strong and wrong" like my ballet teacher taught me.
