Gina Blitstein

Writer & proclaimer of my own and others’ stories because they matter - deeply - on my podcast. I feel compelled to speak up because I have a talent for amalgamating details to compile compelling storylines that resonate with, touch, and inspire. I feel it’s my life's mission to use my gifts to shine a light on our shared humanity to break down barriers and raise our collective voice for the betterment of everyone.

I’m a delighted cat mom, dauntless cook and truth-seeker. I’m curious, trivia-filled, silly, clever, joyful and grateful. I'm deeply in love with my fella, and he with me; we make the best team in life and in podcasting.

Our personal truth lives in our story; I’m dedicated to unearthing the stories that dwell within us all - they are our essence, our personal treasure and our purpose.

Becca Ellis

Who is my friend Becca who's my guest on this episode? This is how she describes herself: “A student for life, I’m curious about human nature as much as I am curious about the wild kingdom. I’m building a life from the rubble handed to me by my ancestors. I’m reaching out to new people in an effort to learn new ways to bring peace and stability to my life. I share what I’m learning along the way.”

I understand your pain and struggle because I have been there. The heart of my journey was a lifetime of feeling broken and responsible for others pain and suffering, while ignoring what was right for me. To survive, I modified, adjusted, apologized, and "chameleoned" my way through life believing that if others around me were happy then I would be OK.

Krista Swisher

I began painting in 2018 and it continues to keep me sane. I use acrylic paint because it is more forgiving when I make mistakes. I paint more abstract works with little imagery because I can use color choice, brush strokes, paint thickness, paint application, etc. to show emotion or passion or enthusiasm.

Artists I love and who have been influential include Willem deKooning, Frida Kahlo, Lee Krasner, Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso, Jackson Pollock, and Mark Rothko.
