Most people think their life will change once they understand themselves better.

It won’t.

Because knowing isn’t what changes your life.

Building does.

In this episode, I share a behind-the-scenes look at a week that didn’t look impressive—but revealed something most people completely miss.

You can have awareness.
You can understand your patterns.
You can know exactly why you do what you do…

…and still not change.

Not because you’re broken.

Because nothing around that awareness has actually changed.

This is the shift from insight to structure.

From knowing… to building.

And if you’ve been feeling stuck, frustrated, or like you “know better” but your life isn’t reflecting it yet…

this conversation will hit.

So, can I tell you something? I think that one of the most dangerous places that we can live is inside the words, I know. Not because knowing is bad. Knowing matters. Knowing creates awareness. But somewhere along the way, I think we started confusing awareness with transformation. We started believing that because we understand something, we somehow changed it. And parts of that can be true. But here's the thing is when we say things like, I know I need better boundaries, I know I need to stop people pleasing. I know I deserve more. I know I shouldn't leave. I know I should leave. I know, I know, I know. But here's the question I've been wrestling with all week. If knowing was enough, why are so many brilliant and self-aware people still living in the same patterns? Why do we keep creating the same results with all of this awareness that we have? Because I don't think knowledge is where we get stuck. I think we get stuck the moment life asks us to move beyond what we know and into what we have to trust. And this week, life has definitely asked me that question in a way that I wasn't expecting. So welcome back to Spiritually Kinky. I'm Dustin Lee Wheeler, your host, and this is where science meets seduction, and this is where science meets seduction. Welcome back to Spiritually Kinky. I'm Dustin Lee Wheeler, and this is where science meets seduction, spirit meets structure, and creation becomes our love language. And as a woman who spent years trying to build a life that looks successful on the outside while quietly feeling disconnected on the inside, I now have I now get to help. I now help high performing women, I now help high performing creators, I now help high, I now help high performing creators stop creating from the oldest version of their past styles and start consciously creating from the youngest version of their future. Because, babe, you're not broken, you're structured. And today we're talking about why knowing isn't enough. So this week, I so this week stretched me in a way that I didn't expect. Not because everything fell apart, actually, because everything was asking me to grow at the same time. I spent the week redesigning and rebuilding my website, which is awesome, by the way. Go check it out, spirituallykinky.com. Super loving it. Not dreaming about it, not talking about it, building it, redesigning it. I wrote the blogs, I learned SEO, submitting site maps, which to be honest, I still don't even really understand what those are and didn't even know that they existed a week ago. It wasn't glorious. Nobody was cheering me on, nobody saw the hours, but I know that it matters. And at the very same time, I've been refining a video for a opportunity to pitch in front of a room full of capital investors that I found out about four days ago, due on the 12th. I haven't submitted it yet, but I've been refining it, recording it, watching it, recording it again. And then something that honestly felt, and then doing something that honestly felt even more comfortable, and then doing something that honestly felt even more uncomfortable. I started posting those versions for my audience to watch, sending them to my emails, sending them to my friends. Not because by any means were they perfect, but because I practice what I teach to let people know and see the process instead of only the polished version. And that meant people had opinions. Some people reached out and said, Oh my God, I love it. I felt that. That really resonated with me. Don't change a thing. And then others said, Lady, we need immediate cash flow, not more advice. Get a clue. This is this is the best one. I think you need to pray. And I'm not sure how talking about upgrading our unconscious instructions or leveling up our language or changing our identities means that I have to pray. But do you know what I thought was really funny? Is I actually thanked them. Not sarcastically, genuinely, because in that moment they reminded me of something I think every single one of us does. We don't see reality. We see reality through the limits and the lenses of what we already believe. And that's when this whole week clicked into place for me. And I realized it's possible to know so much that I know quietly becomes the place that we stop growing. Because the moment we step beyond what we know, we lose certainty. We don't know how people will respond. We don't know if we'll succeed. We don't know if we'll fail. We don't know if we're making the right decision. We don't know. And that's exactly where creation begins. Because a child doesn't learn to walk because they're certain. A child learns to walk because they keep taking the next step before they know how. And I started wondering what if that's what we've forgotten. So we've become really addicted to knowing. Another podcast, another book, another breakthrough, another realization. We think if I can just understand this one more layer, everything will change. But here's the thing, babe, it doesn't. You can't know how to set boundaries if you've never been taught. And you can still say yes when you want to say no. And you can still say yes when you want to say no. You can know your worth and still settle. You can know exactly why you keep repeating the same patterns and still find yourself right back inside of them. And it's not because something is wrong with you, it's because nothing around you, it's because nothing around that awareness has actually changed. And that's where integration and embodiment come in. It's like most people are trying to learn how to swim by reading a book instead of jumping in the water. So your life is being created by the same structure, the same habits, the same environment, the same conversations, the same nervous system responses, the same identity underneath of it all. So, of course, it keeps producing the same results. And this is where the real shift starts to happen. Awareness is just the beginning. Awareness gives you a choice. Choice gives you something to focus on. Focus over time creates flow. And that flow is what produces different results. Awareness, choice, focus, flow, results. And you're doing this already unconsciously, you're just doing it in the way of which you have survived instead of consciously towards what you desire. They stand at the front door and never actually walk into the house. Because here's the truth nobody celebrates the foundation. Nobody claps when you're pouring concrete. Nobody's like, oh my god, she insulated the walls. Incredible. Unless you're a builder. Everybody celebrates the house, the finished thing, the visible thing, the progress. Everybody celebrates the house, the finished thing, the visible thing. But let me tell you, the house only exists because everything no one saw. You're in the invisible part, the part that doesn't look impressive yet, the part that doesn't get validation, the part that feels slow, quiet, and maybe even a little boring. But it's the part that actually changes everything. So if you've been sitting here thinking, I just need more clarity, I just need to understand this better. I just need one more breakthrough. No, babe. At some point, you don't need more awareness. You need a new structure. And instead of asking, what else do I need to know? Start asking, what do I need to build? Or better yet, what would I love to build? Because your future isn't waiting for you to understand it better. It's waiting for you to create something that actually can hold it. So if this conversation resonated with you, I'd love for you to check out my new website, spirituallykinky.com. It's finally live. And I didn't just build it to look pretty, although it does. I built it to support you. There are articles, resources, and ways to get deeper into this work. And if you're at the point where you're done just thinking about your life and you're ready to actually start creating something different, I want to invite you into the Freedom Bridge Immersive. Because you don't need another breakthrough, you need a bridge. And before we part ways today, babe, I want to remind you of something. You are not broken. You are the creative force within, and you get to choose what you'd love to create. So whether you're here to be a little bit spiritual, or you're here to be a little bit kinky, or you're here like me to be a whole lot of both, because creation is one of the fucking kinkiest things that you will ever do. Lead with love, my friends. And in case nobody saw you today, and in case nobody told you today, I see you, I feel you, and I love you, and you are not alone.
