Epidsode 19: Honouring The Truth of Loss
In this episode, I share a deeply personal chapter of my grief journey — navigating the very recent loss of our beloved family dog (who was also Rylee's dog). I open up about something that’s often misunderstood: the instinct to shield others from the pain of loss. While well-intentioned, trying to protect someone from grief can actually deny them the opportunity to fully process and begin healing.
I talk about what it means to hold space — not fix, not soften, just be there. Grief is as individual as it is universal, and the truth is, we don’t get to decide how someone else experiences it. I reflect on how allowing ourselves and others to feel the weight of loss is not weakness — it’s strength, love, and presence in its rawest form. This episode is a reminder that grief deserves to be witnessed, not avoided.
