Ted uses his racing background to drive research forward, accelerating how we discover, diagnose, and treat cancer. This episode: Paul Macklin, PhD, Associate Professor at Indiana University’s Department of Intelligent Systems Engineering and Associate Dean in the Luddy School of Informatics, Computing, and Engineering bringing a math background to cancer research. His lab develops open source simulation tools for modeling with an emphasis on cancer immunology. His latest work, a collaboration among researchers that are part of JKTG’s research network, Macklin created a virtual cell lab that lets researchers and clinicians test cancer treatments in simulation to identify the most effective options.
