9. The cancer came back, but so did she! Emily Harrison-Suhr
5 years ago, at just 26, Emily found a lump in the shower. What followed was a stage 3 diagnosis, months of chemo, and later, the news no one ever wants to hear, it’s back, and it’s metastatic.
In this episode, Emily shares what life really looks like beyond the whirlwind, the egg-freezing, the long hospital days, the moments when hope feels far away, and the strength it takes to keep showing up anyway.
But more than anything, she talks about how she’s found joy again, in the small things, the slow days, and the life she’s built with her husband and their beautiful dog, Ollie. A story about love, perspective, and choosing happiness in a life that looks different, but still so full.
