SPEAKER_01

Hi, I'm Bianca and I'm Dakota. And we're two girls in our 20s that have experienced cancer. We're talking everything you don't find in the brochures. We're raw, we're brogue, and we're not afraid to share everything that cancer encompasses. Buckle up because we're really going there. Welcome to Bits and Boobs.

SPEAKER_00

Welcome back to Bits and Boobs, guys. We're so happy to be here this week. We've got so many fun things to chat about.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, so exciting. So many things since our last episode. And today we're going to go through the giveaway as well, which is exciting.

SPEAKER_00

Yay! So tell us. That's I've been dying to know. Bianca and I have not talked about this because we're like, let's save it for the pod, but tell us, how was Parliament?

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it was so, so, so, so, so, so good. It was um, it was cool. It was like a really good trip that I guess kind of reignited a whole heap of passion, which I didn't. It's kind of my first big things I've done since having Enzo, and he's like 19, 20 months old now. So yeah, it was really cool. Also, my first big thing since my brother passed away. So it was something that I was very proud of to do because it was pushing past my comfort limits. But I was down there with the Cannabis Council Australia as a patient advocate. So it was all a lot of not necessarily boring, but boring for people who aren't in that world. But it was all about changing the framework that medicinal cannabis is accept for how it's accessible to us as patients, yeah, because it's just been such a fast growing system and essentially it hasn't been able to keep up with demand of growth. So I was going in there to speak to parliamentarians, which was so was it scary? No, not really, because it was it was intimidating to begin with because I kind of didn't know what to expect. But the CEO of the Cannabis Council Australia, Lisa, it was her and I in the meeting, and she would kind of go through what she quoted as like the boring stuff, which was more like the TGA framework and a lot of legislative stuff. But the purpose of me coming in was to share my story so they could understand that they're in this big house, like Parliament House, and they're writing legislation, but they need to remember who they're writing it for. So by me coming in and like sharing my story and how it had affected me positively was a really good way for them to understand why it is that the Cannabis Council Australia is asking for this new reform. Yeah. So it was just so, so cool. And it was nice to be able to stand there and have all my hair and be really done up and feeling really.

SPEAKER_00

I know you look so pretty, and like even the back it was so cool.

SPEAKER_02

I loved that. Thank you. It was a one from Dish. It was like pretty so well priced. It was good. It was amazing that I was able to sit in front of them and share my story, but then I also had a photo on my phone of me with no hair, no eyebrows, no eyelashes. And I just started it by saying in 2017 this was me and showing them the photo. And because your 30th was recently too, and like that's just like yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah, so that was one of my massive things too, and a reason that I was really proud is because my 21st birthday was spent in the oncology ward in isolation. Like everyone had to essentially suit and gown to come up and see me. And like, you know, the what do they do when it was COVID, they did the same sort of thing to come in and see me. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

And so that was my 21st birthday, and two days before I went to Parliament, I celebrated my 30th birthday, and to be able to have that contrast, and it was just like such a pinch me moment because I was like, When I saw that post that you did, I was like a bit like, oh my god, because when you read something like that, considering how close it was like to your 30th, and then when you were in there on your 21st birthday, when I was reading, I was like, Holy shit, like you'd just be so proud of yourself, like wow, like I made it out on the other side, you know.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was just so cool. And like to be able to share my story in that someone else that has to walk this path, hopefully the work that I'm doing can benefit them. Yeah, and it was just like one of the conversations I had with a senator, he was I didn't really understand the framework, not necessarily ANT, but just you know, a little bit apprehensive because there's a lot of stigma attached to the topic of medicinal cannabis, naturally. And so we went through the framework and he was still a little bit skeptical and had a few questions, and then I was able to come in and share my story. And from me doing that, he opened up about his own family's struggles and was then not necessarily swayed, but understood the patient perspective because he could put himself in my shoes. And I think that that's what's so powerful about sharing our story and sharing our message because you never know who it's going to impact or and the positive way it could necessarily change someone's day. And you know, for this senator, he was able to then open up about his mum, and and we just had a really beautiful, honest conversation.

SPEAKER_03

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_02

So yeah, it was just really, really cool, and it's definitely something that I want to step into more in the patient advocacy side of stuff. Um yeah, because it was just like there was nothing that necessarily could I was just sharing it in hopes for something to be better in the future. There wasn't anything, it wasn't scary or intimidating that weren't asking harsh questions because it was my own personal experience.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, wow. I've got so many questions. So when you were in there, is it like this could be so wrong, but like yeah, I think of like those big meeting rooms where they're kind of like really big, or is it just like a small meeting, or are you standing up on a desk and there's so many people? Like, how does that work?

SPEAKER_02

And like it was quite informal, like we would just we would go into their office. Just like a chat, a meeting kind of a meeting sort of vibe. Like it was, and then one of the other days we had a round table discussion. So it was from all different people that are involved in the industry. So from growers and distributors to pharmacists to GPs to palliative care specialists, everyone that is seeing the benefits from the use of medicinal cannabis in so many different avenues of medicine, all coming together to kind of share their experiences and expertise to be able to form a really good framework for what the cannabis council Australia is wanting to put forward.

SPEAKER_00

So there wasn't anyone there that was like a no person, it was just generally everyone that was trying to make it like as in like everyone that was there is like have had a positive experience with it. There was no one there that was like the opposite devil's advocate or anything like that, was it?

SPEAKER_02

It was just No, not in that round table. And the thing is, is when we were going to speak with like the MPs, the senators and stuff, because they were from all different parties. So like I spoke to a Green senator, I spoke to a liberal senator, and so they all naturally have opposing views, and then their overarching party has opposing views, or they might be for it or against it, what have you. So by me going in and sharing it kind of allows them to have a positive aspect when potentially they their party could be not so for it. Is that making sense?

SPEAKER_00

I I could have completely butchered that. And how does one even get into something like that? Like that's what I'm like when you're I don't know, like is it someone that had followed your journey, or like how, say, for example, there's other people that maybe want to do something like that or use their voice? Like, is it something where you get approached to do that, or how does that kind of work?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, so I um kind of I I have an incredible connection with Crystal Barter, who is behind Humanize Health. But Crystal and I actually met when she had the Pink Hope Foundation when I was going through treatment in 2017. Yeah, and I was part of her know your risk campaign. So she flew me down to Sydney and I shared my story. It was amazing. And um, I might actually I'll send you some photos from that campaign. We'll put it on our stories for this um this week's set, just so it's such a good contrast.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, love that.

SPEAKER_02

But that's how I met Crystal, and Crystal has now gone and created Humanize Health. So she kind of put a call out for looking for specific advocates that had experience in that field. Yeah, and I just put my hand up, not literally knowing what it was for. I was like, oh yeah, I'm happy to contribute my opinion. And it kind of eventuated into that, and it just working alongside Crystal, she is one of the most inspiring women.

SPEAKER_00

It's oh that's so nice.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it was a real privilege to be in a room with people who just understood it and really had a passion for helping people.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, wow. Yeah, it was really cool. Where do they say these things go next? Is it like, okay, this is like the meeting that we've had this week in June? And then, you know, what's the next step for that type of work? Do you think? Like, do they think, okay, we're gonna do another meeting with more people? I think so.

SPEAKER_02

I think it's like a lot of groundwork, like a lot of you've got to work, work, work at it and get in people's ears, get in front of people and allow them to know why it is that you're doing what you're doing. Yeah so I mean, I only came back two days ago. Um and I'm really I'm it was so positive, so I'm really hoping more comes from it. But I guess stay tuned.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, that's so nice. And do you what was one thing you really took away from that? Do you feel? Like if you sit back and you were maybe reflecting on the plane, and yeah, is there anything that you really took away from that?

SPEAKER_02

I think the main thing was it actually reminded me that I'm really capable. Yeah. And my voice is worth using. And I think there's like pivotal times in life where you kind of get that reminder of like, oh yeah, shit, I can do that. And that was really it was so affirming and kind of just like reignited this fire in my belly that if I'm honest, like I felt it was completely out. So it was really cool to be feeling like I'm getting a bit of me back.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, and did you miss the boys? Because it was the first time away from the boys. Yeah, I did, and but it was nice, like yes, does you deserve it because you you've always sort of been, you've never had like a little time away. So you would have been like, I just also it's nice to have some me time.

SPEAKER_02

It was, and it's like, you know, what do they say? Absence makes the heart grow fonder. Like it was really nice to miss them because it can become quite monotonous of like every day, day in, day out with toddlers. Yeah, and so yeah, it was really nice to miss them.

SPEAKER_00

But um, were they like mummy?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, they were so excited, which was so nice. But I my flight was delayed, which was a bit annoying. So I missed bedtime. So it was a nice surprise for them in the morning, which was good.

SPEAKER_00

Oh that's nice.

SPEAKER_02

And you went to Tasmania. What happened?

SPEAKER_00

Where how was it? It was beautiful, had the best time ever. I'd never been to Tasmania before. It's making I've never been. I think like, what the heck? How is this Australia? It just like there were so many New Zealand similarities. There were so many New Zealand similarities. Um it was beautiful. I loved it so much. I had the best time and just like so much yummy food, some beautiful red wine. Yeah, I just think it was just really, really nice. We had a really good time, and also it felt like um Alex and I went away again last night to this beautiful little tiny home, um, pretty much in like the Byron Hinterland. And we were saying last night when we were sitting by the fire that Tassie was really nice for us because we actually pulled out those conversation cards that we had I had at the breast cancer fundraiser. I know, so cool. Um, Friends by Frank is their brand. And we like bought them with us last night, and one of the questions was like, you know, something came up about um just feeling like when was the last time you felt really like you weren't thinking about anything else, and we were thinking that Tasszy was one of those times because we weren't thinking about, you know, when the next chemo was, and we weren't thinking about work. It was just that's so nice, really nice, beautiful quality time together. Um, so funny. Actually, this leads me into something that I've just been thinking. And I'm like, everyone, I don't like, I'm not taking it in a bad way, but so many people keep saying to me, like, I kid you not, so many friends and family literally keep saying to me, like, oh my god, like you're so busy, like you're always away. And like, correct me wrong if I'm a bit of a bitch, but this is literally my response. Yeah, I'm busy living my life. Like, yeah, I've just like, I know they don't mean it in a bad way. It's like, you know, dad's like, oh, lucky girl, and it's like, no, like, I literally I I work four days a week, so like I can like we can do these things to like go away on the weekends, and like I don't know, I've just been feeling it's so funny, like no one means it in a bad way, and I'm not taking it in a bad way, but everyone just keeps saying, like, you're always busy, you're always away. And I'm like, yeah, I am, but I'm living my best life.

SPEAKER_02

I wonder if it'd be would be the same response though, have you not been sick and you're working five days?

SPEAKER_00

And it's just I feel like it's because we're just never home. Like Alex and I, I feel like we haven't really had a weekend at home in a really long time. And to be honest, like we were saying, like, oh, we're craving a weekend at home just to like wake up and be like, oh, let's go for a stroll and get a coffee. But at the like the last like two months has been, there's been things on. But then I think about it and I'm like, you know what? We don't really have kids right now, and you know, we've got our dog enjoy it. And we've got friends that love to come and babysit him, and we do have a couple of babysitters, but I'm like, why we can do these things? Like, we're always, yeah, we're away. But I just thought it was funny that so many people are just like, oh, you're so busy, lucky you. And I'm like, yep, just living the best life because that's what we're put on this earth for.

SPEAKER_02

And it's better than the latter. Like what you're chemo, like you've had chemo and you're bedbound and and can't live your life. Like you're the the fact you're able to do this is amazing. Stay busy.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, and you're going. Um, and I was just saying to Bianchra as well, you guys can't see, but it's my first time ever I've clipped my hair up, which is absolutely wild to me because I look at the date, it's June. Like, I have not been able to tie my hair up since the start of April last year.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, it's such a feat, honestly. I think I have a photo of my first ponytail. I'll try and find it.

SPEAKER_00

So cool. Yes, please do. Is it not the most exciting moment? Oh shit, it is my hair bag. And I read I went into this, there's a box downstairs, and I remembered the other day looking for Panadol and finding a little mini clip. And I must have bought them for my. So that's what I was like, oh my god, I'm gonna try it and put it in. There's actually still the fucking tag on it, I can see it.

SPEAKER_02

I just do no, it looks so good, and it is because you know what? It's like you've gone through so many different mourning stages just to get to that tiny little ponytail. Yes, and I'm like you've hated it as it's grown back, or you've got to a stage and you've just figured out how to style it and then it's grown more and you can't do it. Yeah, like and now it's like, oh yes, I'm at another stage. Yes, oh, it looks so beautiful.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, thank you.

SPEAKER_02

Stunning, stunning, stunning, stunning. Um, oh yeah, and guys, uh the giveaway is live. Yes, it is live. I can see everyone posting and sharing and commenting. So please continue because this is one not to miss.

SPEAKER_00

Not to miss. So exciting. But I was thinking anyone that maybe doesn't have Instagram that maybe listens to this podcast, or maybe they just aren't on socials, um, and you want to beef this, then I thought we could run through a few of the giveaway things that we have.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, let's go through what the beautiful people in our community have donated for you guys. It's amazing.

SPEAKER_00

It is so nice. So, first we've got Nani Wellness, and that is a beautiful, um, beautiful, beautiful, beautiful package. So, Daisy, the founder, is absolutely gorgeous. She has really spoiled whoever wins. She's giving away like a little booby pack, and I have raved about this before. You swear by this product. I swear by this because remember, I told you about the scar from my massectomy, and it's barely there, which is wild to me. And it's literally from using Daisy's product, and yeah, she's donated so many beautiful things, and it's she's almost she's one of those gouacher things, but it must be one for your boobs. I've never tried it.

SPEAKER_02

Oh wow.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I saw it in there. It's like a silver one, and it must be when you put the oil on your boobs that it can be like even for your face and your neck, but like it's like a lymph drainage sort of thing.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Beautiful. Oh, that's stunning.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, love that. We have the Eye of Horace uh ladies, they've donated their daily reset package as well. And Bianca, we've received a package, and how beautiful were they? Do you remember? Oh my goodness.

SPEAKER_02

Even if you don't win the giveaway, guys, I honestly urge you to go onto Eye of Horace onto their website and have a look at these care packages that they put together. I, when they sent them to us, it was so thoughtfully curated in the sense that if you have a girlfriend who's going through a hard time, if you have a girlfriend that's had a baby, there's so like it's one of those things that honestly, and for the value as well, this isn't sponsored. I'm just, I thought it was such a good care package.

SPEAKER_00

So curated, right? It's like so perfectly curated.

SPEAKER_02

So perfect. And the value of the price that you're paying to actually get all of the products in there, oh my God, it's just so beautiful. So I even gifted some of the products that I got in mine to my best friend who's pregnant.

SPEAKER_03

Oh, that's right.

SPEAKER_02

And I thought, yeah, just so nice. So it's also one of those things that it like our gift um gift package that we're giving away. If you win and you choose something in there that you really love, but you know that there's other things that someone else in your life would really appreciate, we urge you to kind of share it out that way and use it as like a way of showing gratitude and love to those around you. Or keep it fully to yourself, have all the love and gratitude for yourself by all means. But I just thought that the way that this has been put together, it really could be gifted to so many different women in your life also.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, and you know what else as well? Like we all know the economy is absolutely cooked at the moment. Even something like donating it, I mean not donating, or keeping it for a Christmas present. You never know. Absolutely. There's little things that you can do to kind of just think, oh, you know what? We know how crazy it is at the moment, and maybe we can keep that for myself, and maybe I can gift that to someone for Christmas or whatever it might be.

SPEAKER_02

I think that is the best idea. So yes, okay, keep going because I'm getting carried away.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, okay. Um, and then Fuka as well. The lovely, lovely, lovely Jess has donated. Jesse Legend. I know she's like, she's donated a $200 Fuka voucher, which is absolutely beautiful. Oh, how good is that? Love tea as well. Bianca and I love their tea. How funny, that's such a pun. Like, love tea. We love their tea. It's so yummy. So, so, so, so, so good. They've donated one of their beautiful care packages. And then also Akoia as well. Oh my god. So, the brand is called Aquoia, and it's like a really nice sleep shirt. So, it could be for someone that is going into like hospital and they might want to like a throw over 90 kind of vibe, or just something for yourself to sleep in. Like, so beautiful.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, absolutely. And Shell, the creator of Aquoia Clothing, it's the her the whole concept behind her brand is really, really cool. She herself is a breast cancer survivor, and I believe that the fibers of the clothing is made from rose petals, which is Oh my god, I did not know that. Yeah, really, really cool. And so her brand is all centered around, it's just very female-centered, and her whole message is amazing. So, another shout out to Shell from Aquia Clothing. Follow her journey. She is amazing.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, and you know what else she did as well? I think recently, you know, the breast um surgeon that you were talking to. I'm almost sure that her brand is now stopped within that breast surgeon company. I could be wrong, it could be another one, but she's they've she's kind of doing some stockers now.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, that's awesome. I know. So cool. Yeah, there's just some really amazing stuff in this box.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, sorry, keep going. And then we have Cass. So she was on episode 14 in season one, and she is donating her self-pace online course. Changes the way you move through life. So she is amazing and so kind of her to donate that. I think it goes for 21 days, the course. I'm not sure. It's either 14 or 21 days. Um, but yeah, very kind of Cass to donate that.

SPEAKER_02

That's so lovely. And that's it, was actually last week's episode that we were saying that to maybe pull some of her like more holistic and more grounding-centered practices. So she's a really amazing one as well to follow. It's, I believe her Instagram is I am Cass Miller.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, that is correct.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, yeah. And she's um battling stage four cancer. She is absolutely incredible. So it's definitely one of those things that's a great kind of mid-year reset as well.

SPEAKER_00

I think so too. That is such a good idea. And you know what? I had never owned a crystal before. And my mum bought me two crystals after listening to the episode with Cass Miller. And I kid you not, I keep one in my chemo bag and then I keep one on my desk. I'm looking at one and then one's in my chemo bag.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, these are so beautiful. Yep, absolutely. Yeah, she has some really incredible tips and tricks too. So I best believe that that course is going to give you the money's worth.

SPEAKER_00

I think so too. And actually, so there's actually two more. Sorry, there's so many. There's eight people in Talore. I know, we're so lucky. What is Galore?

unknown

I know.

SPEAKER_00

What was the other one? So it was a um a beautiful wide headpiece by Celine Martin. So it's like, I don't know. I don't think you have to really have no hair to wear it. Like one of my friends, Nicole, that introduced me to this beautiful lady, she actually just wears it as like a stylish headpiece. So, really, really kind that that's been donated as well. I guess it's like a great way to kind of boost your confidence whether your hair is growing back, or you just kind of want to boost your confidence and you're out there. Yeah, really nice that she I loved wearing a lot of headwear when my hair was growing back.

SPEAKER_02

I use scarves all the time.

SPEAKER_00

They look so pretty, right? And this one's not even actually out yet, which is really special.

SPEAKER_02

So it's a very special now. This donation is incredibly special for so many different reasons, but one being that Elle, who was one of the incredible brains behind the yellow freezer. The foundation actually lost her battle with stage four bowel cancer in January of 2025. So the fact that there is a foundation that offers free psychological support to women who are going through cancer aged 18 to 44 is a massive, massive help in our community. So what she is donating for this giveaway is one nutrition package, and that's to kind of go over everything to do with your nutrition as you're going through treatment, and then also one psychology session, too. So by kind of engaging with a different foundation that we've I really didn't know anything about, we've been able to, yeah, bring a really wide range of gifts for you guys. So very excited about that one. And I think, yep, she's back online. Oh, there we go. Thank you.

SPEAKER_00

Save me. You know what? Actually, on that point as well, I feel like it's so important. And this is a prime example of someone that maybe that wins this giveaway, right? That is maybe not going through something like this. This is a perfect thing to be able to donate because, like you always say, we always know someone that is going through a diagnosis. Absolutely. So I think it's just absolutely perfect. And also it's just such a great way to kind of get more eyes on this foundation. This is just such a beautiful foundation. And I honestly, I don't know, I feel like, especially for someone like myself that's going through it right now, and it's taken me a long time to kind of find a psychologist. Like my psychologist obviously doesn't know anything to do with cancer, but knowing now that there is this support is like, I don't know, it's just you're not having to explain the kind of unexplainable, really, because a lot of it like you can't articulate. Exactly. And these people know exactly what's going on because they've been through it themselves. So they know exactly how you're feeling, and it's not just like, oh, I can understand how you're feeling. It's like, no, like I know exactly how you're feeling. I've been there, I've I've been through it. So I think it's super, super special. But yes.

SPEAKER_02

And I think what we'll do as well is we'll link in the Yellow Frazier Foundation anyway into these show notes because I really urge anyone to go have a look and see if their what they offer is kind of aligns with you and if it is some support that you can get for yourself. Because um, yeah, it's a miss if there's something out that you just simply don't know about.

SPEAKER_00

And we are very, very lucky. Uh, Bianca is actually joining us on the podcast, I think it might be the next episode or the one after. Um, so she, you know what, we might even put up a story and see if there's any questions that anyone wants to ask. But um Yes, really, really good. Yeah, Bianca will be able to come on and chat through everything, and it'll be really exciting to get a good, you know, 45 minutes to an hour with Bianca going through everything and hearing about her story as well and the amazing Elle and just the amazing things that they're doing for the foundation, which is cool. And also, Bae, she is local, she's in the Gold Coast, so us three should catch up for a coffee.

SPEAKER_02

Yes, that's absol oh, that'd be awesome. Let's do that for sure. And I think as well, it's um a great opportunity to kind of it's a good news story in the sense of obviously Elle had passed away, but the way that Bianca has been able to continue on her legacy while also navigating, you know, the grief of losing her friend. Absolutely, and that it's just so layered. So I think it's one of those episodes that people will get a lot out of.

SPEAKER_00

I think so too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and then so what are the conditions again? Just run us through that for the giveaway, just so everyone is aware and they can enter as many times as they want.

SPEAKER_00

As you want, yes. And you know what, you've got to be in it to win it. So I always say that. That's why I every time I see a giveaway now on Instagram, my sisters won a couple, and I'm like, you bloody lucky girl.

SPEAKER_02

So I never enter them because I think I'm not gonna win. But when I see people, I know, and then I see it. You know, the way that they're drawn.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, but the way that the way that they're drawn, this is why it is luck, because the way that they're drawn is you copy all of the people that have entered in there. Oh, it's a randomizer. You put it into a randomizer, but then with this one as well. So obviously these guys have donated, you know, beautiful, thoughtful things. So the conditions is that you just have to be following all the pages, including Bianca and I as well, and then the podcast, yes, and then all of the people that are involved in the giveaway. And what we'll do is, you know, the person that wins will just make sure, well, the person that comes up first will go and make sure that they're following all the accounts. So if you're not following all the accounts, guys, and you're the first randomized, we're gonna have to go to the next.

SPEAKER_02

So a redraw.

SPEAKER_00

All salacious. I'm being savage, only because I'm so grateful for these guys donating all of these. Absolutely. Yeah, it's really special.

SPEAKER_02

And I think it should really go to the right person as well. And the right person would have done all the right things.

SPEAKER_00

Um also, I want to tell you a movie that I watched on Saturday night. No, Friday night. Oh my god, I literally like cried my eyes out and I do it to myself. So it's called It's called Voicemails for Isabel.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I've been, I've heard it's like really, really sad. Apparently, it really touches on like sibling grief too, does it?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it would be extremely. I've got gross once thinking about it now, and like this is so like okay, I'm just gonna be like completely honest, and I feel like a lot of people that listen to this podcast probably do the exact same thing that are going through what I'm doing. So I'm not being an egg or savage, but I genuinely like was watching it and I was like picturing it as Bronte and I.

SPEAKER_02

Oh yeah. And like a tear-inducing, it's like a good cry because you needed to like feel it.

SPEAKER_00

And like I didn't say that to Alex when I was sitting there, and I was like, he was at one end of the couch, I was at the other, and I'm like, got the blanket over my eyes, and I'm like sobbing because it's within the first 15 minutes. It's yeah, it's like you know, she's got cancer and it's really, really sad.

SPEAKER_02

So no, that's just so oh I could not do that. For that tear-inducing, but yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, if you want a good anyway, it's it's it's really it's there's sad, it's happy, it's just yeah. Anyway, I never want to ever think about that with Bronte and I, but it was like I was picturing it where I'm like, oh my god, like this could be arse. Or like you just think of it like as any sibling or a friend.

SPEAKER_02

But anyway, um that's my um little if you feel like watching a sad like cry movie, then that's like um The Fault in Our Stars came out pretty soon after I was sick. And so sad. It was the same thing. I watched it to actually have like a proper cry. Like it kind of it was almost cathartic because it's it almost gives you permission to feel the feelings and let them come out without having to necessarily name them. Yep. Like, so say if Alex was to be like, Oh, are you alright? You're like, Yeah, it's just a really sad movie. Yeah, but inside, in your head, you're like, Oh my god, my world's ending, but you kind of need it to process it, which is a I'm sure, look, Bianca might come on next week and be like, You girls are actually cooked.

SPEAKER_00

You shouldn't be doing that first off. That okay, I'm just putting my hands up to say the only reason I'm talking about it is because like I'm like the same as the girl that was in the movie, and that's why I'm saying it. That's the only reason I'm saying, and like I said, my brain is probably cooked, and like I shouldn't say those things, but I generally sometimes put myself in that position where I'm like, oh my god.

SPEAKER_02

It's okay, we're all friends here.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, we're all friends here, it's a safe space.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. So before we wrap up today, guys, I actually want to tell you about something really exciting that's in the pipeline for us. We have some amazing guests coming on. I know that season one was kind of we had some sporadic guests here and there, and then it was obviously it was a big year for us. So we were just finding our feet.

SPEAKER_00

That's a massive year. That's a year that we'll probably take to the grave.

SPEAKER_02

Like literally. That was so, so hectic. So now that we've kind of been able to find our feet a little bit more in interview style and finding guests that really align with the message that we want to be bringing to you guys, our community, we have seven guests lined up already for this season. So we would love also to do a bit of a call out. If there is anyone that you've been following that you find a lot of inspiration from, I want to hear from people that kind of get your brain ticking and have really changed the trajectory of your thinking for wherever you are in this season of life. So I don't care if it's like bloody Oprah, send it through. We can shoot at the stars. But I yeah, I really want to know what you guys are resonating with because we always want to be kind of honing the podcast to what you guys are needing at the moment. So yeah, if there's anyone that you can think of, just send us their profile and just say, hey, have a look, because it does really give us a great understanding of where you guys are at as our audience.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, yay.

SPEAKER_02

So exciting. So exciting. It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, my mum's down because I got chemo tomorrow. Yes. How are you feeling? I'm actually feeling okay. And to be honest, I have my scan results tomorrow. So, like, which sounds crazy because we've had like two episodes in between this, but when I was with my when I wait when I last spoke, they hadn't had the results and they still never ended up calling. So I'm hoping that's a good thing. No news is good news. No news is good news. So tomorrow is gonna like kind of going to be going through the report, I guess. So that is exciting. And also tomorrow, I'm pretty much gonna be, I need to go and get the gift box as well, since we've only got eight days left of our giveaway. So I'm gonna go get the gift box, make it all pretty now that everything's arrived. Yep. Um, and I think tomorrow I'm gonna do a bit of a day in the life because I've got some really beautiful PR as well that I wanted to go through. And I'm gonna tomorrow I'm like kind of excited for tomorrow because I'm trying to turn it to be like, also, stupid, silly me, you're gonna be like a silly, silly girl. But I forgot to get my bloods done. So silly girl. I have to go to the hospital like pretty much three hours earlier than to be able to do that. So that's fine. But I thought, you know what? Instead of turning it around to be annoying because mum is here to help out, we're gonna go do the buds, then we're gonna scoot off and get breakfast, then we're gonna go back to the hospital for the appointment. Beautiful. I don't work on Mondays, and I'm just gonna- Oh, I wish I wasn't working, I would have come and joined you guys for breakfast.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, I hate that. Okay, that's fine. Next time. No, you guys will have such a beautiful time though. And as well, it kind of puts a bit of a positive spin on a really shitty day.

SPEAKER_00

I know, exactly right. I thought, you know what, tomorrow and I'm gonna go to the gym, I'm gonna go to Corplas in the morning, and I'm like, you know what, tomorrow's like a nice day to kind of mix it up a little bit. And also, I um my shitty case. I know my suitcase also broke when I was in Bali. And I've had this suitcase for like nearly nine years. So I bought a new suitcase. So I'm gonna, it's still in the box and I can't wait to open it.

SPEAKER_02

Wow, look at you. That's a good Sunday. Oh, that's exciting. No, it's so so good. And then you just get to chill the couple of days after chemo and ride into however that looks this this round. Yeah, exactly right. We'll see how it goes. We'll see how it goes. See how it goes. Yeah, well, I'm just off to work this week back to the back to the grind. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Back to the grind.

SPEAKER_02

And then hopefully I'll be in be in uh Parliament again soon. Oh my god, yes. Yeah, I really loved it.

SPEAKER_00

It was really Oh my god, I'm so excited for you.

SPEAKER_02

And if you have any more photos as well that you have that you didn't actually so hard because okay, another random tidbit, like the last time I went to Parliament House, I was in year six, and you kind of just go through like the little rooms and whatever, and it's like you don't I didn't think it was that cool. I was in your six. Yeah, and then in there, because you have to go with an escort, you don't realise how big it is. So the amount of walking, we'd have a meeting at one end of Parliament House, and then we'd have to walk to the complete other end, and my feet, honestly, by day three, I was telling the group I was with, I was like, oh guys, not just chop them off and just like I'm I'll walk on my nubs of my feet. Like my toes. Oh, I well, eventually I ended up doing that. And Mia, who works with humanized health, actually ran back to our accommodation and got me sandals because it was like it's so disgusting. I'm definitely not gonna have a career on feet finder anytime soon.

SPEAKER_00

Oh my god, I was gonna say it's showing.

SPEAKER_02

No, they're just so foul. So yeah, the I honestly like the photos that I did get were all out front of Parliament House and a couple of like group shots and stuff like that, because you really don't have time to be filming like or taking photos. So, but I did put a few little things on my story. So that was really yeah, that was kind of not very me. So I'm getting there. I'm expanding. Go girl. I'm like on bits and beers like share, share, share, share, share. Because I never put anything out, so it was yeah, it was really nice, really cool. Proud, my darling, have the best time. Let him do whatever the fuck you want. That's exactly right, and have a good time doing it. I love you.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, love you. Bye, bye.
