Having completed her PhD in Neuroscience from the University of British Columbia (UBC) in 2019, Asma started a post-doctoral fellowship at the UK DRI (The University of Edinburgh). The COVID pandemic began just a few weeks into her post-doctoral fellowship, so she switched gears and decided to dedicate her time to Her Royal Science, a podcast platform she created to celebrate individuals in STEM from minoritised groups. Asma has been a full-time podcaster, and she is now the Public Engagement Manager at King’s.
