Nikki, I am so sorry for your loss, and the injustice you and your sister were subjected to. I’m listening to Russel’s last interview when he walked through the house, and I am screaming out loud and rolling my eyes. I feel so much disgust and outrage. What was the point of that - what a complete joke. If this had happened even just ten years later then it did, they would have been able to use technology, DNA to prove self defense, and phone records to prove that he was guilty. I can’t believe no one ever pressed him about the phone call before the 911. It’s so frustrating that this case wouldn’t be open still if it happened now. Scum men got away with this all too often. Anyway, you are so brave for speaking out and reliving this hell-and your poor sister seeing something so horrific at such a young age—she sounded so mature. That is what struck me.
