PodcastThon?  What on earth is PodcastThon?

It's the biggest and most far-reaching charitable event in the Podcasting world and I'm thrilled that The Year I Read the Bible was invited to take part. On March 17 I'll dedicate an entire episode of the podcast to the charity of my choice, and 2000 other podcasters all over the world will be doing the same thing!  How exciting to take part in such a thrilling movement!

I chose a charity you've already heard about in episodes 23 and 26 -- Feed My Peeps!  I'll invite CEO and Founder Jacki Brey back to talk in more depth about how she started this wonderful charity and tell us stories about the people she's reached.

Stay tuned!

Hey guys, this is Lori. Just a quick note to let you know about something very exciting that is coming up on St. Patrick's Day. I was thrilled that the year I read the Bible podcast was invited to take part in something called Podcast on 2026. Okay. What is podcast Thaw 2026. It's the biggest charity event in the podcasting world. An incredible and fast growing nonprofit initiative that unites thousands of podcasters globally. There's no money involved. It's all about raising awareness for various charitable causes. The initiative is in its fourth year. Almost 2000 podcasts have already signed on, and it has already received strong backing from industry leaders and organizations. I'm excited to participate because there are so many charitable organizations out there, 2000 that will get more eyes on them due to this effort. As a participating podcaster, I agree to dedicate one entire episode to the charity of my choice. Participating Podcasters will air our charity episode the same week. As I said, my episode will Air on St. Patrick's Day, March 17th. What charity did I pick to be featured? Well, I'm glad you asked if you are a faithful listener of the show. You've already heard from Jackie Bray, CEO, and founder of Feed My Peeps. It's an amazing story how she was standing on a mountaintop in Africa when she heard the voice of God telling her to feed my peeps. She was all in, of course, but had no idea what that would entail. So she followed God's lead step by step, and now over a decade later, they're still collecting food, cooking nourishing meals, and loving on and feeding the hungry. I immediately decided that I would bring Jackie back and spend the whole episode talking more about this wonderful charity inspired by God and all the important work they do. If you wanna preview, go back to episodes 23 and 26 and listen to the beginning of Jackie's story. Meanwhile, regular episodes of the year I read the Bible will continue to release every Tuesday morning. Please tune in for your weekly shot of inspiration and Bible knowledge. Thank you friends
