Aaron's expertise encompasses various financial planning and mortgage broking areas, including superannuation, insurance, margin lending, self-managed super funds, home loans, and finance. He's particularly passionate about debt recycling and coaching clients to achieve their financial goals. Aaron's been recognised as a thought leader in Australia's advice industry and has been included amongst the top 50 influential financial planner (2023 Power50).

Al joined Elston's multi-asset portfolio management team in 2024. He understands the important role multi-asset portfolios play in smoothing out the ride for investors and is passionate about actively managing portfolios to take advantage of opportunities. Al was most recently the Managing Director at Wheelhouse Partners. Prior to that, he was a Senior Analyst and Portfolio Manager at Wingate where he focused on integrating derivatives into a long-only global equity portfolio.

Andrew is a Portfolio Manager and co-founder of Elston. Andrew’s role includes portfolio construction and management, supervision, development and feedback on the research process and mentoring the Analysts. Andrew has over two decades of investment industry experience including managing high net worth discretionary portfolios and managed accounts since 2005. 

As Co-Managing Director, Ashley is responsible for contributing to the investment decisions of Gryphon Capital Investments, a Barings Company, and serves as a senior portfolio manager and member of Gryphon’s Investment Committee. He has over 28 years’ experience in financial markets that spans across a broad range of areas, including securitisation in debt capital markets, fixed income trading and funds management.

Bruce is a Portfolio Manager and co-founder of Elston. His role includes portfolio construction and management, supervision, development and feedback on the research process. With many years of experience in the investment management industry locally and overseas, Bruce is highly valued as a mentor for Elston Analysts.

David is a Portfolio Manager in the Multi-Asset team, focusing on portfolio construction and asset allocation. He loves analysing the details that can make all the difference. His experience includes working in London with asset manager Sarasin & Partners as a Third-Party Fund Analyst. 

In his role as an Investment Analyst at Elston Asset Management Gary supports the portfolio managers in the Australian Large Companies and Multi Asset Strategies. Gary is continually furthering his education and expanding his skills, he holds a Bachelor of Business from Queensland University of Technology, a Master of Finance from Bond University and has recently become a CFA Charterholder. 

Justin Woerner is a highly respected Portfolio Manager within Elston Asset Management. With over 20 years of industry experience Justin has performed several key roles including Investment Analyst and Portfolio Manager during his 14yr tenure at Hyperion Asset Management. Justin also holds board positions in the not for profit sector with Youth Enterprise Trust and the Clayfield College Foundation.

Mark is the Head of Elston Adviser Services. He has a wealth of experience in both the UK and Australia, including 14 years at Macquarie Bank in both sales and relationship management. His reputation for building trust and respect with clients has been established over many years. Financial planners, stockbrokers and investment professionals all know that Mark is focused on providing the positive solutions they need. 

As Managing Director of Hunter Wealth, Paul’s primary role is focused on ensuring the delivery of high-quality advice to our valued clients. He maintains direct client involvement and acts as a sounding board for many on complex matters. Paul also plays active role in charity fund raising for the Black Dog Institute, provide pro-bono services, and have board/committee representation for Newcastle University Rugby Club.

Susan is a passionate contributor to community and social change.

Over a 20 year career in financial services, she has built a reputation as one of Australia’s most accomplished not-for-profit leaders. Susan has a deep understanding of social investment and is always looking for ways to create a positive impact through philanthropy and partnership.

She brings a wealth of experience to the role. Prior to joining Elston, Susan was Head of the APS Foundation at Australian Philanthropic Services.
