Hello, roundtable crew. This is Chloe. Thank you for coming back this week to Creator Putty. I am a sleepy girl. You guys want to cancel our plans and go for a nap today instead? Yeah, don't tempt me with a good time. Anyway, uh today I'm gonna just be sharing a little bit more of a personal story, kind of how things have been going since starting my business course, something cool that happened when I listened to my intuition, and some things that I have been doing to try to nurture and tend to myself well while I am in this season of growth. So let's go ahead and get into it. Welcome to Creator Putty, a space where the invitation is always open to call upon the higher power that breathes you and remember that there is strength in surrender. Now let's go explore the expanses of consciousness. Before I jump into talking about me, how are you feeling today? I'm asking you so that you can ask yourself, because of course I'm not sitting in front of you right now, but if you haven't already asked yourself that today, tune in for a second. How are you feeling? How are you doing? Do you have the capacity to listen to something right now, or is your system asking for rest and quiet? Well, hopefully, if you're here, that means that you have the capacity to hear this story. And today it's not going to be as think-heavy as the last couple episodes have been. Like I said, I'll be sharing a little bit more just kind of personal goings on lately today. And that starts with an update on the business course that I'm taking for online business development. If you missed that, go back two episodes. I have joined a six-month course for building an online business, and we've had a couple of meetings now at this point. I have made a commitment to myself that I have been sharing one video on Instagram every day. And if you've been following along over there, you can probably see my development. I definitely feel clunky and goofy, and I think that's the point. I've seen a couple things pop up on my own Instagram feed as I'm scrolling through that talk about treating your online account like an opportunity for shadow work. And I've talked about shadow work before here on the podcast, but just a quick brush up on that. Basically, shadow work is not uh running away from the parts of yourself that you are embarrassed by or that are underdeveloped, but really just facing them head on so that you can go through life uh with a growth mindset rather than stagnating at some point. As I am, you know, getting the kind of clunky or awkward reps out with showing up online and being seen in a virtual space and being heard online where anybody can say anything. I've definitely leaned into that perspective of treating it kind of like shadow work. And it's been so it's been so cool, you know. I like to think that I have a growth mindset most of the time, but it's not until we really face a big challenge that we can feel the growth that has happened within us that we've been working on. And so I'm just so thankful for this opportunity, which kind of leads me to talk about a cool story recently, really, where I just listened to my intuition. The same thing that I am setting out to teach other people is like this language without words, is kind of the way I've gone about it, right? Like the subtle energy that underlies and underlines everything that we say and do. And this story that I'm about to tell you within my own life is a great example of why I feel so passionate about it because, well, you'll see why. So let's get into it. It had to have been about two weeks ago now. It was on a Thursday, the last school day of the week for my son, and I picked him up just before one o'clock. And normally we'll just go home. Like every now and then I'll make a quick pit stop somewhere. But typically, you know, his brain has been working in the morning, so I like to just bring him home and we can rest. I had been busy in the morning, and so my own energy was feeling like it could use a little bit of grounding. And when I picked up my son, I noticed that he was kind of feeling the same, like we weren't cranky necessarily, but we were just kind of unsettled. And I thought of a local holistic store and spa that I absolutely love. And I had this just intuitive feeling like I was meant to go there, and immediately my thinking brain kicked on. Which, if you've been following over on Instagram, you know that that means that your beta brain waves have just kicked on and you are starting to actively think. So I get the feeling to go to this store and spa, and it's just an intuitive knowing. And then that thinking brain kicks in and it says, you have nothing to buy over there. If you go in there, you're gonna spend money that you weren't planning on spending, you're tired, he's tired, just go home. But I am someone that likes to trust my intuition and see where that takes me because I believe that it is in great part led by something beyond myself. So I said, okay, we are going to go to the store and spa. So we get there and we walk in, and immediately I knew why I was there from an energetic standpoint. It just felt like a deep sigh. And so my son and I are walking through, and he immediately is drawn over to this corner. Now it's just him and I and the shop owner that are there. And in the corner, they've got a large set of, well, really, I guess it's not a set, it's like one giant amethyst that's been cut down the middle, but the shape of it when the opened face is facing you is like butterfly wings. So he goes over to these amethyst wings, and he's just looking at them and admiring them. So we got to stop and kind of just look at that together for a second. And then as I was reading the little card next to the amethyst wings, my son calls me over and I noticed that he had gone to where the wind chimes were, and they were so cool. There were a bunch of different sizes, and of course the different sizes put off a different sound. But he called me over to the wind chimes and he asked if we could get one for our house. And again, when my thinking brain had kicked on earlier, I thought, no, if you go in there, you're gonna spend money that you don't need to. But here my son was asking me for these wind chimes, and I loved the idea immediately because I am very interested in sound healing and how different Hertz tones can actually help facilitate healing and cell regeneration and lots of good things inside of our body. So I thought, you know what? Sure, let's go ahead and get a wind chime. So I let him pick one out. I'm actually I hung it in the room where I'm recording this podcast. I'm gonna go ring it really quickly and see if you guys can hear it. Isn't that so pretty? So I had picked up a little bottle of essential oils to diffuse. We had gotten this wind chime, and I get up to the checkout counter and I start talking to the shop owner. I told her that I just had this feeling that I needed to come in today and that it would reveal itself to me when we got there. And I also mentioned to her that I saw on their whiteboard that they had restarted a book club. And I said, Oh, I saw that you're starting book club up again. I actually tried to join that back in the fall, right before it ended for the holidays. So it's back now. Like, what book are you guys reading I would love to join? And she tells me, before she tells me the actual book selection, which is The Alchemist, which I've not read before and I'm really liking so far. She tells me that these two girls had come in and they had put in a suggestion at one of the book club meetings, and that when they drew to determine what book the group would read this round, they actually drew those girls' recommendation, but then those girls never came back. And when she told me what book it was, I was completely floored. She said that their recommendation had been to read a book called The Power of Now by an author called Eckhart Toll. And that's really popular in the self-development and spiritual spaces. But what's crazier is I had just been looking it up that morning. I was recording the last released episode for this podcast, and I was going to be talking, and I don't even think I included it, just about how calling your energy into the present moment is how you connect to your intuition and your creativity and your genius, right? When she said that that had been the book that they'd recommended, but they never came back. It was just kind of like something fired in my brain that was like, okay, this is you can call it a god wink, an intuitive hit, whatever works for you. This was like an affirmation from beyond, beyond to me, letting me know that going in there was the right move. I had gotten to get these items. I felt the relaxation happening inside of me and my son. And now the shop owner has just said something that affirmed what I was working on earlier in the morning. And as we continued to chat, she told me what book they actually decided on, and I told her I was looking forward to it, and that I actually had just been researching the books she mentioned for the podcast that I was recording that morning. And that is when I got another little golden nugget of following that intuitive nudge delivered to me because she said, I don't know if you saw on the whiteboard, but we also are starting a women in business group just for local business women to get together and kind of have a meeting of the minds. We can all talk about the challenges that we're facing, the successes that we've had, and we can kind of pitch ideas that we've been having to these other women so that we can kind of get some constructive criticism or positive feedback and we can all kind of grow together, but on our own path. And man, I just lit up. I'm like, yes, oh my goodness, this is another reason why I had to come in here today. I can't wait. So I go home and I stop by my mom's house and I'm telling her about all of this. And she was kind enough to offer, you know, hey, I'll watch your son for you on the Wednesdays so you can go. And then my husband comes home later and I'm telling him about this. And he too is like, I will arrange my schedule so that I can be there so that you can go to these courses. And it just was like, I could almost cry sitting here just thinking about um the support that I feel from my people. And a big part of that is because I have grown into somebody who allows myself to receive support and tries to give that in return as well. So it was just amazing to me that I just had started this business course. I had made the decision to boldly move forward on something, even though I was feeling a little bit unsure of myself. And then this day happens where I just get all these little golden goodness nuggets delivered to me on a silver platter, just simply from following an intuitive nudge. And not only that, but then later I got to reflect on it and another wave of gratitude just came over me because I have worked so intentionally in the last couple of years to develop myself into the kind of person that is comfortable. I don't want to say worthy, but in a sense, like worthy of being seen and teaching other people what I've learned. You know, I didn't want to start this podcast or develop a business until I felt confident enough that I had absorbed and applied the things that I am going to turn around and teach. And while learning is not a linear path with a finite destination, I'm so thankful to be at this point where I am able to open up and share and do the inner work that it takes to become comfortable being seen and being heard and shining a light in a world that could desperately use more light and love. Man, whoo! Okay. Deep breath on that one. Lots of feel goods. Um but what have I been doing to take care of myself? Because I don't believe in the hustle culture, you know, go, go, go, burn yourself out. Like I don't think that there are any awards to be won for burning yourself out in the name of success. I believe that true success that is sustainable and builds legacies and changes family trees comes from people that work smarter, not harder. And so I've been trying to apply the same kind of things that I've been showing online. I've been doing a lot of slow and gentle movement. I normally like to lift weights, but in the last couple of weeks, while my brain has really been firing up systems that haven't been used in a couple of years, I have kind of reeled that back a little bit. It's also really hot where I live. So I've reeled that back a little and moved to a more unstructured flow of movement, a lot of mobility, a lot of stretching, a lot of eye exercises to support my neurological and cognitive health. I have not been going on as many walks, which you guys know that I love to do, but I did get to go on one the other night, and I went for about 45 minutes. The weather was okay, the sunset was beautiful, and at one point I even got to just stop on a little bench and kind of watch the sunset for a minute and take a quiet moment to myself, knowing that my husband and son were waiting at home for me when I got back. And I've been soaking up about as much family time as I am able to in between working and making sure to keep life functioning for myself and my family. Um, my husband and I got to spend a little bit of extra time together and have been able to go out a couple of times, just the two of us recently. He and I also got to take our son to go see Toy Story 5 in the theaters the day after it came out, and that was such a joy to be able to do that. I've also been trying to create intentional time to get together with friends or family. With managing the changes in my schedule from adding in this business development and book club and women in business meeting, I've also been mindful about making sure that there is time for rest. So specifically after I pick up my son from school in the afternoons that he's there, I love to come home and just have the blinds and the curtains drawn. We'll watch a movie, sometimes eat a snack, and just kind of be couch potatoes for an hour, hour and a half to give ourselves a buffer. He obviously doesn't really nap anymore at this age, but I could use a nap. If I can catch one, I'll take one. And if not, I just enjoy the dark, quiet brain break. All right, that pretty much wraps up my little personal story. Thank you for listening to it. I hope that in there you find a little bit of inspiration to sink into your intuition a little bit as well. I feel that it's so common for our thinking brains to kick on and think of all the reasons why we shouldn't follow our gut, follow our heart. And hopefully, this is an example that shows you that it is safe to do that. And sometimes you will get more benefits than you could have even imagined. Stick around, we will continue to talk about intuition development. Right now, I'm kind of all things brain neuroscience. Over on Instagram, I've been working on a series about neuroscience for lasting transformation. Please head over there and check it out at Chloe.being.human. I have now, as of the recording of this episode, released uh the introduction as well as part one, the gamma brainwave state, and the second part will be going out tomorrow. I'll teach you a little bit more about the brainwave states we've talked about here on the podcast and how you can actually apply them for healing, learning, creativity, intuition, and lasting personal transformation. Have a wonderful rest of your day today. See good, be good, and I will chat with you next time.
