What if the difference between confusion and clarity is learning the cadence of the Shepherd’s voice? We take a candid, Scripture-first look at how to discern whether you’re truly hearing from God or just echoing your own desires, a challenge that hits especially hard for military families navigating high-stakes choices, constant moves, and chronic uncertainty.

We start by anchoring in John 10—“My sheep hear my voice”—and ask a simple but essential question: do we believe God still speaks to His people? From there, we map out a practical pathway for discernment. We break down how daily immersion in Scripture trains our ear for God’s tone so counterfeits ring hollow. We talk about guarding the heart from noisy inputs—social media, binge-worthy shows, and even well-meaning advice—that cloud our judgment. We share a helpful “sense then confirm” rhythm: notice the impression, test it against the Bible, check it against your flesh’s defaults like comfort or control, and bring it to a short list of wise, trusted voices who know you. No crowdsourcing your calling.

You’ll also hear why not every decision requires a neon sign. When two options are both God-honoring, freedom within God’s revealed will is a gift—start with the next right step and trust Him to steer. We spotlight red flags like hurry, confusion, and distorted Scripture, and we highlight green lights like peace, coherence, and the fruit of the Spirit. Along the way we share relatable stories—from career crossroads to adoption—to show how guidance often looks less dramatic than we expect but more transforming than we imagine.

If you’ve wrestled with questions like “Should I stay in or get out?” “Is this feeling from God?” or “How do I stop overthinking and move forward?” this conversation will give you handles: saturate in the Word, guard your inputs, know your flesh, seek tight-circle counsel, and take faithful action. Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs clarity today, and leave a review with the verse that anchors your discernment.

SPEAKER_01

Hey y'all, welcome back to another episode of the Military Wellness Collective. We are excited to have you here with us on this lovely Monday, wherever you're at. And I am Brittany Brown. I'm going to be your host and with Joshua, my husband. Hello. And our friends, Kelly and Brian O'Day. Namaste. Of course. Does anybody know what that means? I don't.

SPEAKER_05

Please tell us. I thought you might tell us.

SPEAKER_01

The light in me honors the light in you. As Christians. There's a Christian way to say to each other. Because the light of Christ honors the light of Christ in you. Okay, so that's a fun fact. That is not what we're talking about today on this podcast episode. Today are we are we? I don't know. Maybe. We are not. Maybe we are. We are going to be talking about this is a listener question. And I think it's a great question to talk about. I've been asked this question by many women as we talk about hearing from God.

SPEAKER_05

We got this question in we get we take questions and answers after our sermons at church. And we got a question very similar to this in response to a sermon. Yeah, recently, very recently.

Scripture Anchor: John 10 And God’s Voice

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's so good. So the actual listener question we're going to be talking about on today's episode is how do we know we are seeing and hearing from God, not just convincing ourselves? I think if we shortened this listener question, it would be how do I know that I'm listening to God and not convincing myself? But seeing and hearing from God and not just convincing myself. I want to start off with a passage of scripture in John 10. And I'm going to read this, and then I think some of y'all have some scriptures and we'll get to those and maybe discuss them. Do you have something, babe?

SPEAKER_02

Are you in the ESV?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, yes. I am in the ESV. I'm going to be reading from the English Standard Version, John 10, starting in verse 24. So the Jews gathered around him and said to him, How long will you keep us in suspense if you are the Christ? Tell us plainly. Jesus answered them, I told you, and you do not believe. The works that I do in my father's name bear witness about me, but you do not believe, because you are not among my sheep. My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish, and no one will snatch them out of my hand. My father who has given them to me is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of my father's hand. I and my father are one, or I and the father are one. So Jesus is clearly telling them, Hey, those that know me hear my voice and they follow me, which indicates to me that we can know if we are hearing from God or if we're convincing ourselves. And we're gonna get into that in this episode. So who wants to go first? Does anybody want to read their passage or discuss it?

SPEAKER_05

Can I respond to your passage?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah, yeah.

Do We Believe God Still Speaks

SPEAKER_05

So just this like belief and conviction that God speaks to his people. I we just need that. Like before we can even answer this question, like, how do we know that we're hearing from God? Like, do you believe that's even possible? That's a good idea. That God would speak to his people. And and if we have that conviction that God speaks to his people, that's a good heart posture to start with, right? Like Jesus taught said my sheep know my voice, like I speak to my sheep, my sheep know my voice, and I speak to them. Like, do we even appreciate that? I was struck on the this reality recently in my own personal time with the Lord, in in a maybe a surprising place, in Daniel chapter nine. Okay, and then there's this like long description of like lead up to this vision that God gives to Daniel, right? And but in chapter nine, we don't get the vision. The vision doesn't come until actually, yeah, later on. And so, but at the beginning of chapter nine, it's really just this lead up to this vision that God gives to Daniel. And I was just struck by the lead up, like that Daniel prayed to God for his people, and then God answered him. Now he gave Daniel a very specific vision, and Daniel wrote it most likely in the scriptures, and we now have that. So that doesn't always happen for us, but just I was just struck by like the reminder oh yeah, God, you speak to us. God, you you can speak to your people ergo, you can speak to me. And so just that conviction, God speaks to his people, we must start with that before we start to test okay, are these just my thoughts or are these God's thoughts? Just this belief and this trust that man, maybe God does speak to people, and maybe God is speaking to me. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Did you have something? No.

SPEAKER_03

Sorry, I was I was holding a cold drink and I was pressing it on my forehead, and Brittany was looking at me all funny. Are you okay? And I was like, Are you okay? Right?

SPEAKER_04

I was thinking of the same thing. Is he gonna pass out? Yeah, I thought he was gonna pass out.

SPEAKER_03

My hand was cold and I was just feeling the difference. Okay, we were sorry.

SPEAKER_01

We are distracted, and they were not edited, so there we go. Yeah, and that's okay.

SPEAKER_05

I think another thing I want to encourage us towards is just not just the reality that God speaks to his people, but I want to ask the question what would be true if you really did hear from God? Right? So, like, you know, we spend so much of our life in anxiety, in depression, you know, the military life is suffering, it provides all sorts of challenges for us. You know, we talked to last episode, should I stay in the military or should I get out of the military? Like, if you knew, if you knew, if you became convinced God has me in the military for this purpose, or God has me getting out of the military for this purpose, or God has like if you knew that you knew that you knew that God has this for you, like what kind of peace would that give you? What kind of work ethic would that give you? What kind of like all sorts of good, wonderful things if you became convinced? Yeah, God, I I I do believe that I've heard this from the Lord and God has this for me.

Guarding The Heart And Sources Of Confusion

SPEAKER_01

I love this listener question because it makes me think about the truth that God is not the author of confusion. And so God's not just out there playing games with you, like trying to get you to figure out, is this me? Do you know if this is me? How can you tell if this is me? So some of the questions that I ask or one of them is Am I confused? If I'm confused, why am I confused? I might be hearing from myself and not the word of God. I need to line up where this is coming from.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, or hearing from everybody else. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

So it's interesting you say that because I recently, well, a couple months back, taught at a women's retreat, and I taught two breakout sessions on Proverbs 423, which is why I mentioned this the past few podcast episodes. But Proverbs 423 is keep your heart with all vigilance, for out of it is the wellspring of life. And what does that even mean to guard our hearts? Like some translations say to guard your heart. And I loved this definition of it was just this means we protect our heart from influences outside of itself that might jeopardize its integrity. So whoever we're listening to can create this convoluted confusion if it's not lining up with the word of God. So the podcasts you're listening to, the books you're reading, the television series is Netflix binging, all that stuff, the social media, all those things that you're allowing into your heart, they're influencing you and they can create confusion whether you're actually hearing from the word of God or yourself. Like, are these just ideas and thoughts we're having? So it's a couple more verses on this for oh, go ahead and let me respond to that.

SPEAKER_05

So you said go back to that passage. So you said it is the wellspring. Yes, the heart is the wellspring of life. Right. So which is kind of weird because a lot of times we say, you know, don't follow your heart. Your heart will lead you to all sorts of awful things. Right. But but also and because the proverbs say that as well. The proverbs say the heart is deceitfully wicked. And so how's this?

SPEAKER_01

Figure to guard it.

SPEAKER_05

How's this working? Because if we feed our hearts, and the Hebrew doesn't ever really talk about the heart, it's talking about like bowels and like interesting things.

SPEAKER_01

But anyway, like Which is interesting that the mind and the gut connection, but anyway.

SPEAKER_05

So but if we feed our using our language, if we feed our hearts with good and right truth, then that will be a wellspring of life. That's what that proverb is talking about. Like if we guard it against the wrong things and we feed it with the right things, then our desires actually do align with God's word. So if you're being diligent to fight against like the influences that would lead you astray and feeding your heart, feeding your soul, feeding your mind with good things, then that will be a wellspring of life. That's the heart that's a well stripped spring of life. The heart that's just doing whatever the flesh wants to do, that's the one that leads you to death.

SPEAKER_02

Can I make an analogy?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

All right. So it's hard to explain because there's not really good examples of us because when God speaks to us, it's hard to explain whether how we can know that it's from God or not. And so I use this analogy. Well, okay, okay. Yeah, give me your analogy.

SPEAKER_01

I want to know where you're going.

SPEAKER_02

If you're trying to explain it to somebody else and to how they would know, it's hard to explain.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just asking.

SPEAKER_02

And so you have to actually get them to figure it out. For me, it's it it's like when you're looking for a house that you know you're gonna live in for a long time. You're looking for a home. And if you've ever done this before, you know what I'm talking about. You're going on Zillow, you're going on realtor.com, you're looking up a bunch of homes.

SPEAKER_01

We are not endorsed by either of these.

Knowing God’s Voice Through Scripture

SPEAKER_02

No, we are not. But they're just the most common ones. So you're looking at all these different homes and you narrow it down to like a page of ones that you'd like to go look at. And you don't know which one you're gonna want to buy, but you know you'll know it when you walk into the house. And so you're filling your mind and your heart with all of these pictures and ideas of what this house would look like for you. And then you show up to the house, and some houses you walk into and you're like, no, this is not what I thought it was gonna be. This is not what it looked like. This is I didn't know there was gonna be this thing across the street. Like, this is not where I see myself living. And then sometimes you walk in and you're like, wow, this is home. And you it just hits you like a ton of bricks. This is where I want to live, this is where I want to be. And I I say that because we've we move around a lot in the military. We have a lot of people going to and fro, and I think they have this experience. And so it's difficult to explain because you won't know it until you see it. But when you do, and when you do experience it, you then are you then need to confirm it, right? And by confirming it, I mean going to God's word and making sure it actually aligns with God's word to make sure you're not being deceived. And so there's there's kind of this process going, and you guys already alluded to it. You need to fill your heart with God's word. You need to fill your heart with good and right things. And then when God speaks to you, you'll recognize it because it aligns with those good and right things, and then you confirm it with God's word, with his scripture, and then you go, okay, yes, this is from God, and you move forward in those things, and you go and purchase the house. But if any of those elements aren't going correctly, you can be deceived, and that's why this question is so prevalent.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

So the how, that's the first word in this. How do we do that? So, how do I know? Because you're just you're talking about a very feely thing. Like I walk in a house and I just know, I just know this is God's will for my life. But the person is asking, like, how do I just know? And how do I know that my just knowing isn't my heart leading me astray? And so I love that passage that Brittany started us with. My sheep know my voice. Yeah, my sheep know my voice. And so we have to spend time getting to know the voice of the Lord. Yes, and the place we get to know the voice of the Lord is time in, time out, day in, day out, week in, week out, immersing ourselves in the word of God. Reading it, just getting in the habit of reading it. This is what the voice of the Lord sounds like. This is the word. He's given us the written word. I just read it.

SPEAKER_01

That reminds me of Romans 10.

SPEAKER_05

Romans 10.

SPEAKER_01

Where he says, So faith comes from the hearing and hearing through the word of Christ. Through the word. You have to be in the word. I'm sorry.

Testing Impressions And The House Analogy

SPEAKER_05

I probably disrupted your pattern, but that's to be in the word. Yeah. How do I learn the voice of the Lord? By immersing myself in the word. So reading the word, studying the word, listening to the word faithfully preached, memorizing the word. How do I hear from the word? The Lord by knowing his voice, learning his voice. If you're doing that, then you're you're equipped to start to do this like evaluation process. And so that is one of the big things. Not to bog us down with another example, but like I know Kelly's voice. I I know her because like I know her. I've spent a lot of time with my wife, and I just I just know. So if she if she sent me an email that AI wrote for her, I would know it. Oh, yeah. Like, I would just know. Like she if she handed me something and was like, hey, what do you think about this? I'd be like, oh, cool. Like, that's great that you used, you know, Chat GPT to help you write this. Yeah, cool. I would maybe change this or change that. And and part of what I'm doing is saying, well, this doesn't actually sound like you. This sounds like a robot wrote it for you. And so the same thing is can be true as we get to know the word of God, what we'll just be way better at discerning, eh, that's that's coming from somewhere else. I don't know where I you you might not even know where it's coming from, but you just know what God's word sounds like.

SPEAKER_01

I think it's so important to discern that. Sorry, babe, because the enemy uses the word of God, but he twists it and he always distorts it. And so if you don't know the actual word of God, you will not know if you are being deceived. I mean, the same thing happened in the garden. The Satan tried to do this in Jesus to Jesus when he tempted him. He used parts of the word of God, and Jesus combated it with Deuteronomy. Like, no, thus says the word of God. So I love Matthew 4:4, where it says, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God. Jesus uses the word of God, the Old Testament at the time, and we have that same power. And unless we are immersed in the word of God, we will not be properly nourished, we'll be malnourished, and we won't, we'll be kind of like little kids, you know, that just want every little morsel we can take and we deceive ourselves. What were you gonna say?

SPEAKER_02

Uh I have a very large example of how this went wrong in in the history, in history, and it affects us today, and it has affected literally hundreds of millions of people. So I believe I don't know where you guys stand on this, but the the Muslim faith, I believe, started with this deception from Satan that created this scenario. So as the story goes, Muhammad, as as far as I know, Muhammad was not a learned man in the Judeo-Christian views or anything like that. And so he wasn't steeped in the word. Okay, and he was confronted by what he was deceived to believe as God or an angel of God, but I believe it was a demon of God, and here's why. So, first of all, he wasn't in the word, so he didn't know God's voice.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

Big Mistakes When We Don’t Test By Scripture

SPEAKER_02

Then he goes into a cave and he hears from something, and the feeling that he received and the thoughts he had afterwards, according to the hadith, is that he went off and was suicidal. He was not right in his own mind. He was sick, he was not comforted by the spirit, he was actually tormented by the spirit, and he was then convinced by other people after the fact, way later, that this was the word from God. And so we need to write this down and we need to prolify, we need to push this out. And if he would have taken that experience and then bounced it off of all of the other angelic versus the demonic situations that happened in the Bible, he would have realized this was demonic, this was evil, this was not good. But he didn't do that, he didn't test what he was hearing off of the word of God. And so a result of that is millions of people hearing this faith over the other and being deceived. The other thing that he could have done that he then didn't was okay, this is what I heard from this being. I'm gonna test that with the current scriptures. He's being told, oh, Jesus isn't God in the flesh and didn't die on the cross. That was where the word was corrupted or whatever. And so he then took what this being said instead of what the word said. And so he took what he was hearing and feeling and and things and had that supersede what God's word says. And so what we have to be careful about doing is when we're w weeding through these, okay, I feel that my flesh wants this, the spirit says this, and we're working through this, we have to land on what is God's voice, what is he saying? Do I know what his voice sounds like so I can recognize it? Does it align with God's word and going forward with those good and right things that God has for us? So, man. Hopefully I didn't derail us too much with that.

SPEAKER_05

But so if we get this right and we know, okay, God, God has is leading me to do this thing, God is showing me this path in this direction, it accords with his word, then I have peace and I have energy towards good, amazing, wonderful works.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

If I get convinced about the wrong things, it can have catastrophic effects. You just talked about the creating of a massive false religion. Yeah, so it's in it's an important question. Like that's why we're answering. It's an important question. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Human history this happened. Eve did not stop and ask.

SPEAKER_00

Like, wait a minute, is this sometimes I was about to say, sometimes it's not so clear though, when it's two different really good and God-honoring godly things that you're wanting, you know, the Lord. I think that's hard.

SPEAKER_01

I think a question I tend to ask in that is Is either one of these a sin? Because I think what I hear you saying right now, Kelly, is it's almost like instead of looking for the revealed will, we start to look for the secret will of God. Like, give me the neon sign, like a Vegas sign, like turn right, not left. But it's like, okay, but do both of these align with the word of God? And God has given us the freedom to choose and follow Him. And He will correct like our path if need be. I that's a question that I tend to ask, like, if if that is something like, oh, but both of these are right. Obviously, we need discernment. Is one right and one almost right? Or could I choose either one of these and it be okay? Like sometimes that is true too. Yes. Maybe I'm wrong in that. You my pastor friends here can tell me and correct my theology.

SPEAKER_02

Or sometimes we run into the situation where we get paralyzed with the decision and then we don't go forward with either because we're paralyzed with this decision. And the problem is, is it it actually didn't matter which one we did. They're both good and right. What God was actually telling us to do was go do one and then maybe you do the other after you're done with that first one. I I think of when we were going through this budgeting class years ago, the the instructor was talking about like, hey, you're breaking down your budget, you're you're deciding what you're gonna save for, or whatever the case is. You have desires, your wife has desires. Sometimes it's not, oh, you get what you want, but your wife doesn't. Sometimes it's hey, you're gonna get what you want this month, she's gonna get what she wants next month. Like, and it's just a both and it's just a timing thing. And you just have to, like you said, you have these both good and right things, what do you do? Well, don't just stare at them. Yeah, go forward with good and right things, make the next right step.

When Both Options Are Good

SPEAKER_05

That's a good scenario. So if you're looking at two things, both you know, as you prayerfully consider it, and you're like, you know, I think either those is fine, and trust God's sovereignty. Like you're not gonna mess up God's will if you're not, you know, if you're not walking into sin and you've tested it against his word. Or it's just like an earthly decision. I think of uh, you know, buying a car, for example. Yeah. You know, work through some big maybe some big principle questions of like do I need a car and what do I think about debt and all that kind of stuff. But like just like make a decision and move on. You should not be paralyzed for six months on six months on should I buy this car or that car? Should I get the white one or the blue one? Like just make a decision and go.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I think there's also maybe a slightly different direction is to know your own flesh. So I want to know God's word, and I want to spend way more time thinking about that and studying that than my own flesh, but I do need to know my tendencies, my sinful tendencies, my default idols.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, mine is comfort.

SPEAKER_05

And so I feel like a lot of times the Lord shows me that in times where I'm like, I just want to, you know, as I'm like thinking about whatever I'm wanting to hear from from the Lord, like uh it's just like so like the comfortable one, the comfortable answer you're usually skeptical of because you're like, Well, my flesh always likes comfort, so let me be skeptical of that one. Yeah, yeah. That's good. Yeah, yeah. I so for me when the Lord called me to get out of the marine corps. I know we were talking about this pre a recent episode of should I stay in or should I get out? And for me, when I was when the Lord was calling me to get out of the Marine Corps, I loved the Marine Corps. Like I I loved it. I wanted to be in. My flesh wanted to be in as long as they would let me stay in in that moment. And so when the idea of get out of the Marine Corps and start a church started to enter my mind, I tested the word. Well, does God call people to do stuff like that? Well, the answer was yes. And then is this something that my flesh would come up with? And the answer was like, nope, my flesh would not come up with this. No. And then if I would have asked my wife at the time, her flesh was not gonna come up with that idea in a moment. And so, yeah, just like testing it. Okay, what does God's word say? How does God work? What is his voice? And then what's my flesh generally do? My flesh seeks comfort or my flesh seeks control or my flesh seeks whatever extreme.

SPEAKER_04

Right. My flesh seeks extreme.

Knowing Your Flesh And Common Traps

SPEAKER_01

I like which ditch do I want to go in? Like, I'll just go the extreme way. So I have to be cautious, like, because I can look at the word of God and be like, well, that seems extreme, right? Like, so I could do that. I'm prone to extremes, like ecclesiastic war. Ecclesiastes warns against being prone to extremes. My flesh is prone to extremes. Yeah, I can get passionate.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, when we were looking at planting a church, Brittany immediately was like, Where are we gonna go? We're going to Africa, we're going to we're going to Asia somewhere, we're going to go to Australia, we're going to be persecuted and die for the gospel.

SPEAKER_01

Let's go.

SPEAKER_03

And it's like, we're actually going to move across to the country.

SPEAKER_04

Across the county.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, no, but that's true. Absolutely. And it's like, well, maybe God gave you the answer and it was the other side of the county. Yeah. Right.

SPEAKER_01

That doesn't seem as extreme.

SPEAKER_05

That doesn't seem as extreme, but it, but it's you know, sometimes it is extreme. I think it has been.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. It has been extreme in its own kind of way. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, we were similar. We were wrestling through infertility, and we had to get to the point, okay, God, this maybe this is freeing us for something. And Kelly was reading a book, and so we're like, maybe this is freeing us to go start an orphanage in sub-Saharan Africa. And yet, what God led us to was adopting three toddlers from the same state where we were currently stationed. Yeah. And so, like, adopt three toddlers sounds kind of extreme, but in the moment, that was actually the less extreme option. And so, yeah, we've we've got to wrestle through like what is God leading us to do and allow him to guide us through his word and through our time in his word and through space and testing all of these things. I love that.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and if if you if you know your flesh, if if you know, oh, I really like cheeseburgers and you're driving around.

SPEAKER_00

You do, Tab.

SPEAKER_02

And you're driving, like But that's the thing. I know that about my flesh. I'm not gonna drive around town if I see a billboard for a cheeseburger. I'm the whole one that is leading me to a cheeseburger.

SPEAKER_03

I'm not gonna do that.

SPEAKER_02

But like there are people out there though that will anytime they see a sign that their flesh desires for, they're like, it must be of God.

SPEAKER_01

It's a sign from God.

SPEAKER_04

It's like, no, it's good advertising. It's gonna be careful with that.

SPEAKER_05

Also understand what advertising is trying to pull, like, oh, I feel called to eat cheeseburgers. Well, yeah, there's just well-crafted advertisements coming your way. And that's also guarding the things that are coming into you is what are people trying to sell me? Right.

SPEAKER_01

Is this gonna jeopardize the integrity of your heart?

Wise Counsel Without The Noise

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, and and what's amazing though is as we guard our flesh and we recognize it and we align ourselves with God's word, we then start aligning ourselves with God's will. And then when God speaks to us, we hear him and then we start doing and going forth and hearing him more and understanding his desires become our desires, and it's amazing and beautiful.

SPEAKER_05

Can I give another specific how? So if you're wrestling through a question, should I stay in or should I get out? Should I marry this person or should I marry that person? Before you start talking to people about it, write down who do I care about their opinion on this topic. Yeah. And then maybe go ask their wisdom. Yeah. Because if you just start asking a thousand people, or you start to like ask the internet, oh, should I go to college or not? Like, should I marry this person or not? Don't do that. Do not do that. Do not ask the internet, do not ask the robots, do not ask all your friends on social media. Say, okay, man, my my dad's pretty wise. Let me ask my dad. Or man, my my pastor seems like he's pretty wise. Let me ask my pastor. Or this woman that I look up to who seems to be a believer in growing in Christ. Like, I care what she thinks. Or you know what I'm saying? Like write that down and then go ask those people. Don't don't just ask random or just like start feeling out and throw the vice trap in front of people. Yeah.

When you ask a whole bunch of people, it's just gonna convoluted. There, some of them are gonna appeal to your flesh. It's going to add confusion. Confusion, yep.

Practical Next Steps And Closing

I think sometimes we ask this question because we try to overcomplicate it and we're hoping somebody's gonna tell us that they heard an audible voice from God, and we don't want to put the work in to actually know God and know if we're hearing from God. And wait on the Lord sometimes and wait. Like, I think I don't think I believe because I know that this was me at one point in time. Like, oh, I don't know. I'm confused. I don't know if I'm hearing from the Lord. I wasn't faithfully in his word, faithfully digesting it. And I was allowing a lot of other things to influence my heart and mind. So as we leave here, I don't know if we gave you more clarity. I hope we did, because you need to be in the word of God. We say that all the time. If you want to know if you're hearing from the word of God, it must align with the word of God. We appreciate you guys.
