When Jamie Meifu found a small lump while nursing her baby, she almost brushed it off.

She was 35. No family history. Four kids.

But something told her to advocate for herself and that decision may have saved her life.

In this emotional and brutally honest episode, Jamie shares what it was really like to be diagnosed with breast cancer as a young mom. From multiple biopsies and a double mastectomy to 12 weeks of chemo, forced menopause, cold capping to keep her hair, and navigating the mental battle of survival, nothing about this journey was easy.

Jamie opens up about hearing the words “you have cancer” and the fear that followed. She shares what it was like to tell her children, lose her breasts and her ability to breastfeed overnight, and why she chose chemo even after being declared cancer free. She talks about the anxiety of recurrence and how facing death completely changed her perspective on money, time, and motherhood.

This is more than a cancer story.

It is a story about resilience, self advocacy, identity, strength, and what truly matters when life flips upside down in a single phone call.

If this episode moves you, please share it. Someone you know may need to hear Jamie’s story. Cancer is terrifying. Survival is powerful. And no one should have to walk through it alone.
