Galatians 2:20 And Your New Identity
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
Galatians 2:20 is a single verse with the power to interrupt the loudest lies in your head. When we say, “I have been crucified with Christ… it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me,” we are not repeating religious poetry. We are naming a new reality that can steady your emotions, reshape your decisions, and strengthen your resilience when shame, fear, doubt, or insecurity tries to take the mic.
I walk through what it means for the “old you” to be gone and for your core identity to be rooted in Jesus, not your past, your moods, or your mistakes. We talk about biblical faith as something you can practice, especially through Scripture meditation: reflecting, visualizing, and letting the Holy Spirit press God’s truth deep into your heart until it becomes your default lens. That inner shift matters for Christian mental health because what you believe about yourself determines how you interpret everything happening around you.
We also explore spiritual authority and why Luke 10:19 changes the way we face the enemy’s schemes. You are not trying to earn power you do not have. In Christ, you have access to what you need for life and godliness, and faith is how you receive what God already provided. If you feel stuck, downcast, or unsure you can even understand the Word, I want you to hear this clearly: you have a new mind, a new spirit, and the source of wisdom within you.
If you want a simple next step, spend this week meditating on Galatians 2:20 and ask, “God, what are You saying to me?” Subscribe, share this with a friend who needs encouragement, and leave a review so more women can find Whole Heart Conversations.

Galatians 2:20 Read Aloud
Constance LavoniceGalatians chapter 2, verse 20 says, I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. All the power of God lives in me. And that's a game changer.
Welcome to WholeHeart Conversations
Constance LavoniceYou're listening to Whole Heart Conversations, a podcast for women discussing biblical faith, mental health, and whole heart, spirit, soul, and body resilience. I am your host, Constance Lavonice. Let's reflect on this verse.
The Old Self Is Crucified
Constance LavoniceI have been crucified, put to death with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God. So the old me, the insecure me, the quick-tempered me has been crucified, and I am a new person in Christ. The old person is gone. That applies to you. The old you, shame, guilt, fear, doubt, double-mindedness, unbelief, that person is gone the moment you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior. It's done. It's crucified. And now you live through Christ who lives in you. Meditate on that. Visualize it. Picture it. Allow the Holy Spirit to graft it into your heart that you are a new person, and the old you is gone. You're a new person in Christ.
Authority Over The Enemy
Constance LavoniceEverything that Christ has, you have. Everything. We are seated in the heavenly places with Christ. And Christ says that, behold, I have given you all authority over all the power of the enemy. We have the authority of Jesus Christ in us. This is found in Luke 10, 19, that Jesus says that I have given you all authority. We have all authority over the power of the enemy. We don't have to fear the schemes of Satan. Jesus said that He has given us all of His authority. Think about that and meditate on that. Because that is a game changer in how we live our life, how we walk, how we speak, and how we perceive everything that's happening around us. We have a new mind, we have a new spirit, and we have access to all of the kingdom of God. We have everything we need for life and godliness.
Faith Appropriated for a New Mind
Constance LavoniceIt's already there. And all we need to do is appropriate it by faith. That's the same faith that we used when we accepted Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior. And Paul tells us in Romans that we all have the measure of faith. So if you have a problem believing or even understanding the word of God, you have a new mind. Your mind is able to comprehend the things of God now. You have the source of wisdom inside of you because of the new spirit that you have within you. And that's a spirit of power. So you don't have to give up, you don't have to be downcast, you don't have to doubt yourself. You have power. And I want you, ladies, to really allow this verse to just get into your spirit, to get into your heart that you are a new person. You're no longer that old person that you were when you accepted Jesus Christ as your savior. You're a new person with all the power of God for every situation or circumstance in your life to be victorious. It's in you. And I want you to allow that to be your core identity in
Core Identity And Mind Renewal
Constance LavoniceChrist. When this is your core identity, and it only becomes your core identity as you study it and meditate on it and open up God's word to confirm all of his promises and everything that he says about us when this scripture becomes your core belief, then it will start to change your life. And you will experience life through the eyes of God. And that's what's important. What does God say about you? God says that you are loved, you are redeemed, and you were chosen by God. Let that sink into your mind and your heart. Let that allow it to become your core identity. Allow your mind to be transformed by God's word. And the only way that you can do that is like I said, to read his word, but not only read his word, but to meditate on

Constance Lavonicehis word. And I want you to start this week. Have a look at Galatians chapter 2, verse 20, and meditate on that verse. Meditate. What is God saying to you? What is the message that he's telling you? What does he want you to do with this verse? I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. And the life which I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God. You have the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me. So think about it, reflect on it, and allow God's word to become your word and permeate your life. And if this message resonated with you, subscribe and share it with a friend who may need encouragement, and then text the show and let me know what's on your heart.
