After 25 years as a TV true crime producer and 10 published mystery novels, Clare launched The History of Murder. She and her cousin, Margaret Smith are the Executive Producers, and get to visit museums and meet authors and historians. The History of Murder comes from their joint love of history and (Clare’s) love of crime.
Margaret comes from the world of academia. She has worked as a teacher and a school librarian, and has enjoyed refining her skills as a photographer. She’s also raised three kids. But as if that isn’t challenging enough, she decided to dive into the world of podcasting. Her love of history and the chance to get behind-the-scenes at museums around the US (and eventually the world) was the deciding factor. Plus she gets to work with her cousin. 😁
