Completely agree with both of you of the need for junior players to play football. Dominant clubs do not develop resilience for their players when they come up against more difficult opponents from the UK for example. The JFA could assist by including a rule that only so many Bulls players for example 4 are allowed on the pitch at any one time. To be fair, St Paul's do this at the very junior level.

Are the Jersey Bulls good for Jersey football? If so, why do many clubs criticise the Bulls. Time for a new perspective and approach by those clubs?

The senior men's game appears to be very competitive. How did we replicate that at junior level? Many age groups have one dominant team. How can that be fixed to improve the overall standard of football across all age groups?

Thank you for addressing the questions posed last week. It would be great to hear from some persons involved with junior football to understand their thoughts on competitiveness and how they can be improved. Perhaps a future guest? Robbie raised the issue of a Jersey Bulls age group travelling to the UK for matches very frequently. That creates a financial elitism for those parents who can afford those trips. Could that situation not be mitigated by a Jersey Bulls age group playing in the local league in the age above? So for example the u12 Bulls squad could play in the u13 league? They play on alternate weekends so there would be no clash between club u12 and Bulls?

what do you think of the recruitment of players and the 'tapping up' of players? How can the process be made better if at all?

is Jersey football too tribal? And is that we don't see clubs helping each other more than what they should?

Who would both Andy & Robbie say are the most underrated players on the island within Premiership 1? ------ Honestly, it feels like the Jersey Bulls have done nothing but damage to local football. They’ve taken away sponsorship opportunities that local clubs have relied on for years, and crowds that used to go down and support their local league sides just aren’t turning up anymore. And it’s not only match days. Even trying to book training facilities has become a nightmare. Local clubs are getting pushed out, while the Bulls seem to get whatever time slots they want, on the days that suit them. It really does feel like they’re being favoured by Sports Bookings, and the rest of the island’s clubs are left fighting over whatever scraps are left. Volunteers are drying up too. Clubs are struggling more than ever, and meanwhile you’ve got 1,000 people going to watch the Bulls every week. If those people weren’t supporting local teams before, why suddenly now? And why only for the Bulls? That support could’ve made a massive difference to clubs who have kept football alive here for decades. To me, the Bulls are an absolute hindrance to the local game. If things keep going the way they are, they’ll end up killing off the local football scene completely. STAY OUT OF OUR LEAGUE GAME AT ALL LEVELS

Enjoyed that gents - particularly Robbie’s piece about the Sittingbourne gaffa - I’m in complete agreement! 😂 Good to hear from Harry too - strange creatures referees but good to hear things from their point of view! Keep up the good work!

Hi Andy, I listened to your podcast and thoroughly enjoyed it. I just wanted to mention that I was a player for St. Paul’s when you took that training session for us! 🤣
