Hey everybody, welcome to Center the Podcast. I'm your host, Leslie Braverman, and I'm sharing holistic content that reconnects you to your most centered self. That's that place within you that's energized and knowing, uplifted despite the chaos and demands of life. The place within you that creates that portal of possibility. Today we're diving into the last of the pillars of the balance blueprint. And this one is purpose, sense of purpose. And sense of purpose is an interesting one because there are many levels in which we are experiencing our purpose. So let's start as usual. We'll start with the physical and we'll also add in the metaphysical. And for the physical, this is going to change as you move through life. And sense of purpose overall is really what gets you out of bed in the morning. I had a coworker for a lot of years who used to say that. And it's true. I mean, whether it's your dog, your kids, your job, like it really is what gets you out of bed in the morning. That's going to get you into your cycle of life. But overall, for the cycles of life, you know, we go through these periods as in childhood where we're learning and we're creative and we're exploring. And then we sort of anchor in that information and we go out into the world and we serve in some way. So service is an under, like I can't underscore that enough. It really is the kind of backbone of purpose. But in terms of what purpose really is and what it means to you, it's so individualized. And after this kind of childhood experience of anchoring in education, we serve in a greater way and then expand again into what more do I need to learn for my vocation, for my self-growth? And then we anchor that in. And then we expand into potentially new services or new roles. And really, it's just this cycle of anchoring in and expanding, anchoring in and expanding. And it really folds around what lights you up. What are you curious about? And how can you follow that curiosity and that inner trust of what is expressing through you? Because anything you're curious about is going to lead you down a path of greater authenticity and greater purpose. So one of the things that I got to experience regarding purpose was some time in one of the blue zones. So we have different blue zones on the planet. There are some that are extremely remote. Well, they all kind of tend to be a little remote. But as far as like, you know, I didn't have to take like a boat to an island to a, you know, it was, it was a long car ride. But one of the blue zones I got to experience was on the Nicoya Peninsula of Costa Rica. And I was talking with one of the locals there, and he was really familiar with the pillars of the blue zone areas, which was very cool. And purpose was pretty much his number one. And the other pillars we actually have discussed in this balance blueprint: they're movement, social connection, rest, meditation, eating a mostly plant-based diet, which, you know, when I discussed it, I talked about it in terms of pH. And then purpose was a huge one because it's what helps you feel like you have a place in the world. So really knowing that place within yourself and knowing your place within the world is going to create this lovely centered balance sensation in your life. And some of the most complex times of our life is when we don't feel that. And that's when all of these other pillars really help to anchor in. And it's usually a time period, and this is the metaphysical, of going into a greater expansion of what the soul wants to express and what you need to learn in order to express that. And again, often it comes in terms of like feeling a little shaky in your life and not knowing your direction. And all that is part of the cycle of growth and anchoring. And so metaphysically, I have experienced a lot of people who have come to me at these times in their life of uncertainty and they want to know their soul purpose. And this is the metaphysical part where I will go into the Akashic Records and look into that because the soul is expanding its expression the more you expand your knowledge base and service and direction. And what I found in the Akashic Records and the experience of asking into soul purpose is the soul purpose that we come into, like I said, will change as we change, but it overarching is actually pretty simple. It's to have the individual expand into a higher frequency and more alignment with the soul through that higher frequency, and then to express through service in whatever way that individual is interested in. So it really is a merging of the physical and the metaphysical when we think of the construct of what purpose is, is what lights you up, what gets you out of bed in the morning, what are you curious about, and how can you start folding that into your life? And there are time periods where if you have children or if you have an incredibly rigorous work schedule, there's no room for that. And that's okay because that's also a cycle that will shift. And so just having this time period of attention to that and awareness, it's really an acceptance and acknowledgement that you're in a period of massive giving. And there'll be a time of quietude and anchoring when that time or cycle is over. And for some of us, especially parents, it can feel like a very long haul. And that's where the expression of the days are long, but the years are short come in. And even before I had kids, when I was working 60, 70 hours a week for like 10 years, that felt like a long haul. So you're always being prepared for the next step. Always. Your soul has always, always got you. In fact, the more soul aligned you are and the more self-aware you become, the clearer it becomes what that purpose of that time is. And it's typically creating a foundation for the next expression of you. But it's also fulfilling the soul purpose, the personality purpose. And it's it's this beautiful dance. So again, we can't really dissect the physical from the metaphysical experience because we're multidimensional beings and we're always overlapping. But just to recap, like the people on the planet that live longest, the ones who have the most aligned life, purpose is a big part of their lifestyle. And acknowledging their purpose and feeling into that sense of knowingness that they're living in sole alignment with what they're here to do. And if you don't feel that way, use the time that you have to get curious about what's next, what's more a fit for you. And it can be drastic. These are drastic times, these are chaotic times, and these are these are shaking times, right? We're really meant to be shaken right now, which is the other reason why I, you know, started this podcast because we need these practices to come back to, to really remember that the purpose of all this is to be shakened and awakened and have more clarity about what we're here to do and experience. And overall, you're never out of sequence. You know, your soul is constantly sequencing events to provide that awareness of where you're meant to be, and you're never in the wrong place, you're always at the right place in the right time, and you're always experiencing exactly what you need to have that clarity of purpose. So, a little recap. The most powerful and simplest way to access your purpose is to ask the question what's getting you out of bed in the morning? And how does that feel? What lights you up and how does that feel? What are you curious about? And what would it take to really follow that curiosity? So play with these ideas and come back to this idea of the quality of purpose is within you and it's expressing multidimensionally. And in that state, you are really that portal of possibility.
