In this episode, I sit down with my friend and bandmate Uller to talk about what it really means to live between cultures.
Born in Mexico, raised in the U.S., moving back to Mexico as a young boy, before eventually making his way back to the States with his wife and child, his life has been shaped by movement, music, and a constant negotiation of identity. We talk about belonging to two cultures at once, the confusion and beauty that comes with that, and how music has helped him make sense of who he is.
We also explore moments of cultural representation (like the Bad Bunny Super Bowl Halftime Show!), what it feels like to see yourself reflected in art, and how he's teaching his son to embrace both sides of his identity without feeling like he has to choose.
This is a relaxed, heartfelt conversation about identity, belonging, and the freedom of realizing you don't have to fit into just one box.
