In this Manifesting Monday episode of Organized Chaos: Permission Granted, I’m taking you behind the scenes of a weekend that felt like pure magic—and proof that manifestation is real when you align your thoughts, energy, and actions.

After 18 years of marriage and raising three kids, my husband and I finally took a 24-hour overnight trip—something we hadn’t done in years. What started as a simple date night turned into an unforgettable experience filled with alignment, ease, and one incredible full-circle moment.

From thinking “I just want to meet her” the night before… to being unexpectedly gifted a meet-and-greet with a comedian I deeply connected with—this story is your reminder that the smallest desires, when felt fully and released, can unfold in the most unexpected ways.

This episode is about:

  •  Letting go of control and trusting the how
  •  Being open, vulnerable, and sharing your story
  •  Recognizing alignment and receiving with gratitude
  •  Allowing joy, ease, and support into your life
  •  Taking the shot—even when it feels small

Because sometimes… all it takes is one moment of courage to change everything.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. I always thought that was Michael Jordan, but after consulting with Google, it turns out it was Wayne Gretzky. Either way, the message stands on today's episode of Organized Chaos Permission Granted. Manifesting Monday. I'm taking you along on a romantic weekend getaway with my husband, and trust me, this is a good one. You're going to want to listen all the way to the end for a little context. David and I have been married for 18 years. We have three kids, ages 17, 15, and 13. My family lives far away and his family, well, we're not going there in this episode, so the idea of going away overnight. Honestly, I couldn't even remember the last time we did that. We did go away for our 10 year anniversary, just the two of us, and that was such a blessing. Also a time when things were good with the in-laws, but leaving all three kids with someone for 24 hours when they were younger, that was always a hard no for me. One kid. Sure. But all three. That felt like too much. My kids are a lot, or at least that's the story I told myself back then. Fast forward 18 years later, we finally did it. We took 24 hours away, and guess what? We came back today. The house is still standing. Everyone did great. Even the cat, the kitchen was messy, but honestly, we all survived. Okay. Back to the story. A few months ago I discovered one of my now favorite comedians, and I saw she was coming to Seattle. I told David, we have to go see her. He got us tickets and then said, what if we got a hotel? The kids are old enough. I was hesitant, but I said, okay, maybe the youngest can stay at a friend's house. And just like that plans were made. We left Saturday around lunchtime, headed into Seattle. We stopped at a park, checked into the hotel, freshened up, went to the show, grabbed food afterward, took a walk, went to bed early. It was honestly the perfect day. Then Sunday. We got to sleep in, had breakfast at the hotel cafe and went to Pike Place Market. We did all the iconic things, the fish market, the gum wall pictures with the pig, seeing the first Starbucks. Smelled the cheese at beecher's cheese, the flowers, just all of it. Now, here's where the manifesting magic comes in. Everything I just described that alone, a joyful connected time with a partner you truly love being with. That's already the icing on the cake. I love him so much, but Saturday night after the show, back in the hotel room, I wrote this down. I am seriously still on cloud nine. I can't believe it. The night before Friday, I went to bed around midnight, feeling so excited that in less than 12 hours, David and I were heading to Seattle for an over. Within the last year, I had discovered an Indian female comedian online. She's hilarious. Married, has three kids just like me. I felt so connected to her. Her story stuck with me. Her daughter once asked friends to write what they loved about her mom, and they all said she made them. That encouraged her in her forties to start doing standup comedy about being Indian in America. Her name is Zana Garr. So Friday night as I was going to sleep, I had the thought, I just want to meet her. I want to tell her how funny she is. I feel like she's my Indian spirit mom or auntie. I just want a picture with her. And then I thought, how can I manifest this? I reminded myself, let go of the how. Just feel it, allow it, picture it. So I went to sleep the next morning. We got up, got ready and headed out. We hadn't gone on a real overnight date like this in forever. It's funny, when we got married, we thought family support would look very different, but life has a way of working itself out. The drive, not bad at all, about an hour and 15 minutes with traffic. The weather was perfect. Easy parking also, and we got to the hotel early 2:00 PM and they let us check in. Even though the check-in wasn't until 4:00 PM that already felt like a win. We got to the show early,, a sold out show, over 800 people, but no line at all. We walked right in, grabbed popcorn and drinks, and then right before heading to our seats, I see her son and daughter, and I'm like, oh my gosh. I have to say hi. So I did. We took a picture together. They were the sweetest adult kids ever. David and I went to our seeds, and then I went back to the merch table because I wanted a signed copy of her book. I ended up sharing my story that I was adopted and raised in a white household, and finding her comedy made something in me just click. It felt like coming home like she was my Indian spirit mom. And also at the merch table, they were selling these little, um, cute, fruity, like key chain purses for$20. And I thought about buying one, but I was like, no, that's okay. But, and then before the show started, a message popped up on the screen and it said. Sign up for her newsletter for a chance to win a meet and greet, valued at$250. So of course, I signed up hoping that would be my chance to meet her at the end of the show. And then the show goes on. The show was incredible. It was so funny. Half the time I felt like I was like crying'cause it was making me laugh so much it did not disappoint. Then at the end of the show, they picked a winner and it was not david or I. And that was like disappointing, but it was fine. So we started to leave. And then as we're walking out, I hear her son's voice behind me and he's like talking to someone and he's like, oh, how did you like the show? Blah, blah, blah. And then when he's done talking, I turn around and I say, tell your mom I said hi. And he says, wait, weren't you the one with the story from earlier? And I said. He goes, we have something for you. Come to the merch table. And I'm thinking, I already got the signed book. I even won the pineapple purse thing earlier during the show. Um, and he says, we want you to do the meet and greet. And also is he with you pointing to David? I say, yes, he's my husband. And so he's like, great, you guys can go do it together. And he like, just like gave us these wristbands and he is, gave us access and we got to like go back in. And I was like completely in shock. I don't even know if I said thank you properly. And I was just thinking, is this my life right now? Is this like really happening? Oh my gosh. And I also have to pee. Um, so then we like. We hurry up and went to the bathroom and then like we went back in and then we got to go on stage. And that's, I mean, that's the real test. Like when you meet your, like, celebrity, like for real, when you, the person you're, you admire so much, like are they gonna be the same person? And like she totally was. She was funny and kind and sarcastic. And she's like the perfect, like Indian. Person, like, she's amazing Anyway, um, but there was maybe 20 people at the meet and greet and I just like gave her like the biggest hug and. She gave me a big hug back, obviously, and then she like looks at David and she goes, is this your partner? And I said, yes, we've been married for 18 years. And she goes, oh my gosh, you guys like look like you're 18. And that like made us both like laugh. Um, and I got to tell her like a little bit about my story and that I was adopted and just how much her comedy means to me. And how I just feel so connected to her and stuff like that. And of course we got to take a picture and chat like for like a second and I was just like so thankful and grateful. And again, like out of 800 people, we just happened to walk out at the exact same time that her son was walking behind us and I had turned around and just said, tell your mom I said hi. And that's like when everything shifted and it was just like so neat like meeting her, I was just like, oh my gosh. It was so awesome. Anyway, and. What I love most about this, especially for manifesting Monday episode, is how everything aligned in those 24 hours. The drive was smooth. There were so many angel numbers everywhere. Early hotel check-in at 2:00 PM instead of 4:00 PM meeting her kids right away, having amazing seats, right? Like so close to the front. We were like row C, so it was like the, I guess like the third row. Um. Winning the pineapple coin purse thing. So that was like a$20 value. Buying a signed book, receiving the meet and greet. The late checkout at the hotel was noon. That felt like luxury. Usually hotel checkouts are at like 10:00 AM or 11:00 AM and you like, you feel so rushed and stuff, but it was like we got to sleep in on Sunday and have a late checkout. And then everywhere we went, parking was easy, it was affordable, it was great. And then doing all the fun iconic stuff in Seattle and like things weren't crowded and everything was fun and I just felt safe in the city. And obviously like meeting her. And that the kids did good at home. And then we also got like two complimentary pineapple cookies from the Pineapple Hotel that we stayed at. So that was like super cute. And then we also got two complimentary drinks during this weekend. So I don't know, it was just awesome. So after this show, David and I went to an Indian restaurant and that was a lot of fun. Um, anyway, so let's see. Where are my notes? Okay. Again, like I still can't believe like everything that happened in the last 24 hours, I'm just like so freaking happy. And here are some mantras. The world opens up when you open up, when you're generous with your heart, your story, your pain, your joy. The world responds and here are some other mantras. I am open to receive more than I imagine. Every aligned action I take creates unexpected magic. When I allow joy, ease, and support into my life, it opens the door for magic to happen. And that's your reminder. Take the shot, say the thing, share your story, because you truly never know what's waiting on the other side of that moment and the lives you will change by being brave and sharing your love with the world. All right. Here are some takeaways. Feel it first. Release the How Manifestations started the night before with a feeling, not a plan. Letting go of the control. And trusting the how. Your story is powerful. Being open and vulnerable created a real connection, and that connection led to the opportunity. Alignment feels easy, recognizing alignment, and receiving with gratitude from parking to timing. To experience when things flow, pay attention. Take the shot saying, tell your mom I said hi. Changed everything. Small actions, open big doors. Taking the shot even when it feels small, because sometimes all it takes is one moment of courage to change everything. Be courageous. You are allowed to receive. The meet and greet wasn't forced. It was given. Receiving is part of the process. And the last thing, joy is the manifestation too. The trip itself, the love, the connection, the experience. That is the magic. And until next time, know that I love you and I'm incredibly proud of you. Keep manifesting the shit out of things. Talk to you next time. Bye. So in this season, I'm giving myself permission to show up messy, be visible, and have fun, and I hope you join me along the way.
