Matt is a professional cellist as well as (to varying degrees) an author, a guitarist, and a singer-songwriter. After nearly three decades performing as a orchestral and chamber musician in the US, he packed up his things and moved to a small but bustling Italian town with his wife, violinist and co-author Zeneba Bowers. They now live and work in Italy as musicians and travel consultants. Matt loves to travel  with Zen by car throughout Italy, Ireland, and elsewhere - discovering new and wonderful places to visit and stay, and delicious things to eat and drink... but at the end of the day, he's always happiest when they return to their tiny Italian home and their cats.

Zeneba is a violinist, a Grammy-nominated performer and producer, a professional travel planner, and the co-author of all of Little Roads Europe's book offerings, including "I Can't Believe We Live Here", a memoir. She is a good at picking rescue cats, making spicy tomato sauce, and inventing curse words as necessary. She loves salty things, smart people, and anti-fascism.
