Everyday Life: After Dark +
Thank you for helping us keep the lights appropriately dimmed!Sinus hell, sleep paralysis demons, and a serious question: what if brothels were legal and regulated instead of shoved into the shadows?
Jen and Dagda return to AfterDark after an intense BDSM history run and dive into:
- Allergies, bad sleep, and the lingering terror of sleep paralysis (with emotional-support Bernard the stuffed dog).
- 5,000 years of prostitution history and all the colorful names brothels have gone by—from strumpet houses to whorehouses.
- Modern fronts: massage parlors, strip clubs, “body rub” studios, and bar-in-front/bordello-in-back setups.
- Erotic vs therapeutic touch: pelvic floor work, White Tiger Tantra, and where medical treatment blurs with sexual service.
- The 1949 UN convention against trafficking and how its wording ends up punishing consenting sex workers along with exploiters.
- A global tour of where sex work is legal or decriminalized, from Nevada to Germany, the Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, Lebanon, Bangladesh, and more.
- Street work, safety in numbers, and why outlawing brothels can make things more dangerous—inviting serial killers, abusive pimps, and hidden exploitation.
- How legal, regulated brothels could mean testing, healthcare, worker protections, retirement planning, and realistic pathways in and out of the industry.
This one is frank, NSFW, and unapologetically pro–consenting adults making informed choices—with systems that prioritize safety over shame.

Welcome
SPEAKER_03Welcome to Everyday Life. This is our After Dark podcast. My name is Jen.
SPEAKER_00And I'm Dagda.
SPEAKER_03Here is your explicit content warning. The following episode includes adult language, content, and situations that is intended for entertainment purposes and mature audiences only. So sit back, relax, and take a listen. Ready for the journey, Dagda? Yep. Alright, let's go. Yep. How you doing today?
SPEAKER_00I'm doing alright. How are you doing?
SPEAKER_03Um, a little on the tired side, but that's okay. I had problems with my sinuses, stupid allergies last week.
SPEAKER_00So I mean, things are starting to bloom. I'm saying all those cherry trees and stuff.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like uh bunch of tulips and stuff coming out. Yeah. Well, and I noticed like the little firebushes around here are starting to bloom too. So it's like, uh, whatever. Um, but you know, you got I got that going on. So, you know, that's always super fun. Um, and then of course I'm still struggling with the uh vivid nightmare sleep prowess demon issue. So that's always fun. Stop. I know, right?
SPEAKER_00Stop, get some help.
SPEAKER_03I know, right? I'll tell you what, you know, using Bernard, my stuffed animal, stuffed dog, my partner and I argue about this. He's like, hey, you gave it to me first. I was like, you put Bernard behind the couch and you didn't touch him for six months. He's mine. Um, and it literally was the weirdest sensation because, like, this morning I had issues with it, and I could feel Bernard in my hand, and the minute I fell asleep and let go, it happened. And it's just, you know, anyways. So we're back to After Dark after a few weeks off because that was kind of exhausting. The BDSM run uh was a little bit exhausting because that was a lot of information to take in. And it was like, and like that history is wild to me.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like, like honestly, a marquee, a marquee can just do whatever the f he wants. Come on now.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Welcome to nobility.
SPEAKER_03Uh welcome to wealth. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But uh, so what was interesting about it is I was thinking about that this morning. I'm like, we've had a we've actually had a pretty long break from After Dark for us. In in real time, in real life, we've actually had like almost six weeks off.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, something like that.
SPEAKER_03Like a month, almost six weeks off of After Dark. Um what we've done one, we've had time to record one episode for After Dark.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, oh Gooner, why art thou? I still don't understand the whole Gooner thing. But you know, I mean, to each his own goon thing, I don't care, whatever. Um, so pretty much, but we've had this big break, except for like maybe an hour. Um, and so for whatever reason, I'm
Back from BDSM Deep Dive
SPEAKER_03sipping my coffee, because you know I'm didn't even have a full cup yet. I'm so sad. So I'm sipping my coffee and I'm just literally, my brain just went, Why don't we have brothels? I don't know why either, because there's no god-given reason for it for me to even think about brothels.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, okay. But I was like, there is a God-given reason for not having brothels, but right.
SPEAKER_03Well, do you understand what that reason is?
SPEAKER_00Uh because marriage is sacred and you're not supposed to be having sex until you're married.
SPEAKER_03They don't even talk about marriage. Oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_00So uh so here's a maybe not in the in the legal sense, but in the biblical sense, yes.
SPEAKER_03Okay, fair. So uh we know, we already know. We've talked about this a little bit. Prostitution goes way, way, way back.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. Ever since there's been two people, they've been fucking. Ever since there were three people, they've been killing each other.
SPEAKER_03Yep, fucking inviting. Yeah, it's always in the but the records for it actually go all the way back. Just to recap for people, um, Sumerian records actually have talks and conversations about the first brothels all the way back to 2400 BCE. So that's uh what, five years? Five five years, five thousand years ago, 4,500 years ago.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, somewhere around that.
SPEAKER_0345,000 years ago. A long, long, long time ago. Um so brothels are not always known as brothels. Okay, over the years they've had many different names.
SPEAKER_00Sure. Makes sense.
SPEAKER_03Strumpet house. Nice bordello.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah. Bordello of Blood, great movie.
SPEAKER_03Nice. Uh The Body House.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_03Not B-O-D-Y, B-A-W-D-Y, The Body House.
SPEAKER_00The body house, okay.
SPEAKER_03Yep. The ranch.
SPEAKER_00Where I find all my bunnies.
SPEAKER_03Right. Uh House of Ill Repute, which I've heard many a times. House of Ill Fame.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03I that that one kind of like makes me scratch my head, but okay. And then, of course, everybody's everybody in Texas's favorite one, eh?
SPEAKER_00Uh whorehouse.
SPEAKER_03Yes, ding ding ding ding.
SPEAKER_00The biggest little whorehouse in Texas.
SPEAKER_03Which we actually saw a picture of.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And that that poor that thing is so falling apart.
SPEAKER_00Did I tell you the story about I can't remember, was it Robert Redford? One of those famous dudes from uh from movies around that time.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um, he ended up buying a um a like tour bus.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00Um well, I think it was originally a tour bus.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_00But it ended up becoming a mobile brothel.
SPEAKER_03Sure, that's not Burt Reynolds when he was filming the best little whorehouse in Texas with Billy Martin.
SPEAKER_00Maybe it's one of those dudes who bought that vehicle because it was one of those, because they thought
Oh Brothel, Where Have You Gone?
SPEAKER_00it was funny to have that story to tell them. Oh, yeah, this used to be a whorehouse, basically.
SPEAKER_03That is hilarious. I bet it was Burt Reynolds. I can't see I can't see Gitty Two Shoes, Paul Newman doing it.
SPEAKER_00Although I remember who it was.
SPEAKER_03You know, it's funny because we go through these stages in life where we're like sweet angels when we're children, supposedly, oracle demons, and yeah, we're all hellions in our own way. Um so that's interesting. We'll have to look it up so I can be like, oh, yeah, that dirty birdie. Uh so what's interesting is so there's all these different names for brothels, right? Oh, throughout time.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03More modern though, people disguise it. There's guises for it. Uh massage parlors, um, even bars. Apparently, that's a huge thing, too. That bars are fronting, uh, you know, it's a bar front, but bordello in the back, you know.
SPEAKER_00Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Brothel in the back, beer in the front.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Makes a lot of sense. It makes a lot of sense. Yeah. A lot of things going on anyway.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Liquor in the front. Uh, strip clubs, body rub parlors. I'm guessing that's an overseas thing.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I didn't maybe, because there is a um, I believe it's a Japanese style of massage where that's basically what they do. They rub their whole body on you.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Um it's probably where we saw that picture from 1890.
SPEAKER_00That could be.
SPEAKER_03The Shabuzi?
SPEAKER_00Shibuzi.
SPEAKER_03Shabu, Shibazuki or something like that. Yeah. Um, they're also known as studios or whatever your favorite local nickname is. Like the hole. You want to hit on the hole, you know? Like whatever your phone. So apparently every place has a local nickname for it. I can't think of a local nickname for anything around here.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I don't, I'm not aware of any of that sort of stuff.
SPEAKER_03I mean, I know like just it and it this could be anywhere USA, but I know that there was I'm not gonna say on air who I know frequented this in the Pierce County area.
SPEAKER_01Okay, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But they told me one, and we'll just we'll just call it uh Kim's Massage Parlor.
SPEAKER_00A rub and tug.
SPEAKER_03A rub and tug. And I'm by visiting, I'll have to get my rub and tug.
SPEAKER_00I have watched some videos on them in like Thailand.
SPEAKER_03Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00Because they're fairly common there.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and it was like one of them, one of the ones that I watched, it was this lady, and it's like her and her boyfriend travel all over the place and look for houses and whatnot.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00And so she was talking about her first experience with a erotic massage.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00Because she'd been there with her boyfriend, and her boyfriend was getting one, but then she never did until later on. Yeah. It was kind of interesting.
SPEAKER_03Well, it I've seen one where a gal was in, was she in I think she was in Taiwan, and she was getting a therap, a therapeutic pelvic floor massage.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And uh, you know, like they obviously only showed part of it. Because I was just like, what the heck is this? This doesn't make my brain does not computate. But then once she described it, I was like, oh, so you paid a lady to duckbill you. Nice. One one digit shy of a fisting. Okay. To prepare your pelvic floor.
SPEAKER_00I mean, it is a bunch of muscles, so like getting
From Strumpet Houses to the Mobile Brothel Bus
SPEAKER_00that area massage probably feels pretty good, even if it's not sexual in nature, right?
SPEAKER_03Oh no, the whole yeah, I mean, yeah, but it just like I don't have a proclivity for somebody sticking their hand up my Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I remember back in the day, um, there was this program called White Tiger Tantra, and it was essentially it was um pelvic massage. Right. Uh and I remember watching one of the videos, and the dude was being kind of rough, yeah, and then he described what he was doing and was like, okay, I get it now. I'm like what I was thinking it was gonna be was not what it was. Right. Um, yeah, it was interesting.
SPEAKER_03I mean, it's it's a fascinating thing, right? Because the human body can do so many different things, but I just, you know, pelvic floor massage, I'm like, you know what, Keglit, and it's good. It's it's fine.
SPEAKER_00I mean, those are two completely different things.
SPEAKER_03Well, and I don't have children either. So there's a lot of ladies who will do the pelvic floor massage that have children because of nerve damage or whatever. But that's so that but so apparently in some places you can get that done at a brothel. Yeah. Which is it's just like amazing to me because that's not like when we talk about brothels and prostitutions here in the US. I mean, we've talked about gigalos before, but it's like the majority of the sex workers out there are not men.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, the overwhelming majority, probably.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, it's like 80-something percent, like 87% or something are female. And so we don't think about you, it just doesn't equate because trust me, I think women are delicious, but it doesn't equate in your brain that there are women going to brothels to get serviced.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know, in until you hear about these different specials, and it's just like, oh, I mean, there's some stuff I've read and I'm like, oh, but maybe that should be my next uh career. You should be a massage therapist, a pelvic massage therapist.
SPEAKER_00I actually thought about that. Like one of the when I was working at the restaurant, one of the dudes who um was a regular customer.
SPEAKER_01Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_00Um, he was like he had some other job, but he was in the process of becoming a massage therapist. Right. And I was talking to him about it. It's kind of interesting. But yeah.
SPEAKER_03I don't, I don't now I am showing you all love, brother. I don't necessarily know that it would be a good career choice for you at this point. Um, because you'd be kind of like the creepy guy with the one good hand and the one bad hand in scary movie because you're frozen frozen shoulder. It's my strong hand. It's my strong hand. Grab my strong hand. Um, yeah, so it was interesting to me that so like there's all these different code names, and and and again, there's like universal code names, like you said, parlors, bars, blah, blah, blah. Um, but then there's also your locally accepted names, which I can't think of anything other than heading over to the massage parlor. Yeah, I mean, I mean that's I mean, we're not stupid. We we we uh are in a county that has a a military base nearby.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. And it's that's one of the things that kind of annoys me. A lot of times I'll see stuff posted for the local area, and they'll be like, oh, where's the local glory hole?
SPEAKER_03And I'm like, in your backyard if you build it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Like, those
New Identities: Hiding in plain sight
SPEAKER_00are illegal here, dude.
SPEAKER_03But you can't you can't argue a stupid.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because it's there is a percentage of people, it has nothing to do with military, it is just human perception. If I want it, I want it, and that's how it is, and that's how it should be. Yeah, no. So, anyways, moving on. I don't want to get stuck on the the ideology of stupid people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um, so in 1949, the United Nations General Assembly put this package together.
SPEAKER_00And did they wrap it?
SPEAKER_03Not before they tapped it. Uh so they put this package together, they put this this is what we want to do, we all want to be in agreement with, which at first sight sounds great. It is for the suppression of the traffic in person and the exploitation of the prostitution of others, right? So it's this whole thing like it's not okay for you to do this to people, right?
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Sounds great and glorious. So in 1951, in July of 1951, it got enacted, right? Here's the thing: this is what it's all about. Whereas prostitute this is why, whereas prostitution and the accompanying accompanying evil of the traffic in persons for the purpose of prostitution are incompatible with the dignity and worth of the human person and endanger the welfare of the individual, the family, and the community.
SPEAKER_00Okay, that all sounds good.
SPEAKER_03That all sounds good, except for it's really not about the individual, because with this passage, it also prosecutes the people who want to do prostitution for a living. There are some people who, for whatever reason, they love sex and they want to get paid for it. If you're it still prosecuted the willing participants.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03You know, it it took the idea of people being forced against their will to do this. It took it away to, oh, but anybody doing it is no.
SPEAKER_00Okay, and that's the reason why the United States and Canada didn't sign.
SPEAKER_03I'm telling you, I think so, because it's like they're in Australia. What bothers me is the wording of it only should be about the welfare of the individual.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean it shouldn't be about the family.
SPEAKER_00It does affect the family and the community and all that too.
SPEAKER_03But okay, it does affect the family if this is a forced sex worker.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03It does affect the community if it's a forced sex worker. But when it is a willing participant, when it is somebody going, I like sex and I want to get paid for it because I'm very good at it, or whatever, it's my extracurricular, blah, blah, blah.
SPEAKER_00I'm constantly getting asked to do this anyway, so why not fucking make it a career? Yeah. Or whatever.
SPEAKER_03And if it's my choice who I do it with.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's it's literally saying how people perceive you, your family in your community, how they might perceive you for being a prostitute or a sex worker of any kind, is the reason you shouldn't be allowed to do this. And that's bullshit.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, if it was up to some Bible cumpers, porn would be illegal.
SPEAKER_00There's much more valid reasons to not allow it than just people's opinions.
SPEAKER_03There are. The most valid reason would be exactly like why they uh why it became illegal in the United States in the earlier 1900s. We've talked about this before, um, because of the spread of disease and all of that. And so I get that. But then then, you know, vulcanization happened and more condoms happened, and they still got rid of it because that's not our community standards. Yeah. And that is where it gets frustrating to me because my community standards might not be the same as yours. And you can't literally a 51 to 49% vote going, oh, prostitution will be illegal, that's not enough discussion.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's really not enough discussion. That's not enough research. That's not enough anything to really have a, especially when it all came down, when you look at all of that time period and look through it,
Erotic Massage and Pelvic Floor Work
SPEAKER_03because we've kind of talked about it before, when you look through it, and it literally comes down to this is not how we want people to see us. That's what it came down to.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03We don't want people to see us. But we were looking at pictures from the early night, late 1800s, early 1900s. I mean, shit, the military used to have uh in Morocco, the military had their own like prostitution hood.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I mean the US did that too during the Civil War. Yeah. Um, because the one of the like um, not Surgeon General, but basic essentially that's what he was for the military. Um, there was a huge problem because prostitution was happening anyway, just like it always does. And a bunch of the Union soldiers were getting um various venereal diseases.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And so he did a little bit of research on it and was like, well, okay, this is how we're gonna fix this. And he made he gathered up a bunch of the prostitutes, made sure they were all clean, and the ones that weren't, he put into treatment programs until they were. Um, and then enforced the uh ensuring that every one of them got checked every so many days or whatever. Yeah. Um, and then every time a soldier came down with something, he isolated them and made put them in treatment programs too. So and then basically it dropped off and basically went away as a problem. Right. Because the fucking um ensuring that everybody participating was healthy was enforced.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So and and that's the crazy thing is that you've got different countries where prostitution is legal and it is also monitored, and it and and all these health things are enforced.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So it it's just like, and it's very successful. It's a very successful tax bracket for that country.
SPEAKER_00It's it's it's it's kind of like legalized weed.
SPEAKER_03It's yeah, it's a it's a reputable job.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's a reputable job because you have to get certified and you have to make sure you're A, B, C, D, and you know all your health shit. What?
SPEAKER_00I was just thinking about all these prostitutes being nut certified.
SPEAKER_03Oh my God. I'm pretty sure the certification. I'm Turk certified. I'm pretty sure the the certifications are talking about is understanding healthy activities, how proper use of condoms, uh, when to spit, when to swallow, you know, that kind of thing.
SPEAKER_00She's got a PhD. She's got a Venus humping diploma.
SPEAKER_03That's right.
SPEAKER_00Anyway.
SPEAKER_03Um so so yeah, so so in 1951, you know, the United Nations General Assembly was just like, yeah, this was great. And a lot of people went, no, because you want they want to prosecute people with consent. So that, yeah, that was just insane to me. But what I did find funny is probably, and it's probably the biggest brothel. I mean, this is huge. The biggest brothel in Europe is in Cologne, Germany, and it's called the Pasha brothel. And there was a notation on it that in 2006, during the Olympics, the the Iranian flag, like one of the flags was on the building or whatever.
SPEAKER_00Wow.
SPEAKER_03I'm like, holy smokes.
SPEAKER_00Well, the Olympics are kind of uh a fucking debauchery fucking marble debauchery fucking farm right there. I mean, it kind of makes sense. A whole bunch of really fit hot people fucking gathered together in one place for a couple of months or whatever. Right. Well, you know, and it was yes.
SPEAKER_03Well, it's a it was funny because so we started looking at, so you and I looked at this big giant map. You can see it on Wikipedia. Anybody can go look it up. Go look up brothel, you'll see it. Um and it was talking about where it is uh what did I say? It's decriminalized. It's legal, it's legal and decriminalized, okay?
SPEAKER_00And so legal or decriminalized because those are two completely different things.
SPEAKER_03Yes. So in the United States, there's only one state where it's allowed, and that is Nevada, and that is only by applicable local laws.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So there's only like 10 counties in all of Nevada that allows for any type of brothel activity, and it's very specific. If you break any of those rules, they either shut you down permanently. It's like a 30, 90, 120 or permanent shut.
SPEAKER_00Um, so well, like a lot of people think that it's legal in Las Vegas. It's not legal in the city of Las Vegas, but it is legal in the county around it.
SPEAKER_03So and it's so crazy because you you see these stories, and I actually remember watching like some like cops and stuff, and people getting bust over prostitution. I remember one of them was just like, I'm just asking them if they want to come over here. It's not illegal over there. Were you gonna bust me because I'm not over there yet? And it's like, yeah, there's certain ways you have to do certain things.
SPEAKER_00I mean, soliciting Is part of that. And so if you're asking somebody, that's illegal.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_03Handing them a flyer. See, that's how they get away with it a lot in Nevada, is they hand out flyers. They don't say a single word, they just hand out flyers that have all kinds of local information on it. And then, you know, two or three different escort lines.
SPEAKER_00There's actual, yeah, there's literally fucking um like not little newspapers, but they're all over the place. Just like in you know how you get the newspaper boxes or whatever. Yeah. There's those all over the place, and they're just filled ad after ad after ad after ad.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, it's it's crazy. When I was in Las Vegas, I did not get any of that. I didn't see any of that.
SPEAKER_00They also have little business cards all over the place, too.
SPEAKER_03I yeah, I didn't. I was on Fremont Street, so I didn't see any of that. The only thing I saw was an old lady trying to feel up my sister. So I actually was talking to somebody about that the other day. Uh, this gal, I know we were we were just talking about like siblings and stuff like that. And I was like, it's interesting because of the dynamic with my one sibling and how it throughout the years there's been lines of I wouldn't call it sibling rivalry, but you know what I'm saying because you're familiar with it. It's just sometimes siblings just they get along for a period of time, then they don't. It just is a normal thing, I think. Yeah, and so her expert on that. Well, you've seen how all your uncles have interacted. Sometimes they want to punch each other in the face, and then sometimes they're fine. Yeah, that's a normal sibling thing, I think. These these siblings you see in like the sound of music and cheaper by the dozen, lies all lies. It is normal to have periods of time with your anyways. But I was telling her, I was just like, yeah, when we were in Vegas for my other sibling's wedding, like it just I'm the protector. I have to defend her. And I was just like, do you know how uncomfortable it was for me at X amount years old that I'm still defending my older sibling? Like, I still have to protect her. You know, and and it's not, and it's not for any other reason, other than, you know, she's not um I mean she's not very tall. She's really not, you know, I'm taller than her by a good three inches. Yeah, she's like short, anyways.
SPEAKER_00Um your whole family short.
SPEAKER_03So yeah. Shut the front door, Alice.
SPEAKER_00Except for one person.
SPEAKER_03Well, he's above average height.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_03And he's only halfway related, or is it a quarter or halfway if he's my sister's child.
SPEAKER_00I mean, he's your nephew, so he's half, I guess. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Well, right, right. If half if I'm half of my if my sisters are half of my parents, anyways, I'm related to him. He's the tallest of all of us. It's disgusting. Towers over the whole.
1949 UN Convention: Trafficked VS Consenting
SPEAKER_03Then my youngest sibling, my oldest sibling, and then my dad. I think my dad and my one sibling are the same height now. Anyways, so it is crazy to me. So in the United States, that's the only place, right? Nevada. That's it, right? That's only by local laws. But you can legally go and have some prostitution fun. And that doesn't mean just like hump and dump. Like, you can do all sorts of different fun activities. You can get a blow job, you can get a hand job, you can get uh your prostate milked, you can um not interested. You're well, you're not, but there's lots of guys I know that yeah that you know, they're like it's the most it's uncomfortable, but it's the most fantastic orgasm ever. And it's messy. It is messy as fuck. It it it it truly is. I'm not gonna lie, it's it's disgustingly messy. Uh, anyways, you can go to Ecuador, Uruguay, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Colombia, Venezuela, Buenaire, um Caraco, Aruba, Pitcarin, uh, St. Martin, Cape Verde, Senegal, Guinea Bissou, Eritrea. I don't even know there was something called Eritrea out there. Tunisia, uh, Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands, Austria, Hungary, Greece, Latva, Turkey, Bulgaria, Lebanon. I did not expect Lebanon to be on that list.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, that's kind of crazy.
SPEAKER_03Like in the middle of all this, hell no red is Lebanon. That's like, sure, thank you, come again. Seriously.
SPEAKER_00Uh they come and they go.
SPEAKER_03Yep. Oh, another one that surprised me was Bangladesh. Yeah. Uh, Taiwan was not surprising. Half of Australia.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And even half of Australia has has one half where it's just like, uh, it's it's cool to sell sex, and then one half that's like, it's cool to buy and sell sex. So it's it's kind of interesting in that fashion. Um, New Zealand, um, Neway, Toklau, Estonia, and Panama. I was really, I I honestly I will say I was surprised. Norway was Norway was not on the list. I was really surprised because a lot of times in Switzerland and like in that whole grouping of an area.
SPEAKER_00Oh, you mean Sweden?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Sweden, all of that.
SPEAKER_00Norway, Finland, Sweden, yeah, Denmark.
SPEAKER_03I mean like Ireland, it's legal, you know, but not Scotland.
SPEAKER_00I mean, Scotland is still technically part of England, right?
SPEAKER_03So I don't know.
SPEAKER_00And that's where it's just decriminalized or whatever, or is it no, that's where it's legal to be a prostitute, but it's not legal to be a John.
SPEAKER_03That is correct. It it what's interesting to me is I would think if I wanted to be in the sex worker crew if that was my thing. I think I'd rather work in a brothel where I know there's security and you know, because that seems a lot safer. And and and the prost this the brothel and prostitution stuff, all street prostitution is kill can considered illegal worldwide. Only prostitution that's legal is in areas where brothels are legal and you can legally sell it and buy it there. Otherwise, worldwide, street walkers are a no-no.
SPEAKER_00In uh England, they have the thing where you can't have a brothel, um, which is uh one of the kind of problems because it makes it super unsafe because the women can't cluster up.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, they can't cluster up, and you can't get a pimp either because pimping is more illegal than prostitution.
SPEAKER_00I kind of understand that, um, because a lot of times those are exploited uh 100%. Um I mean it's not always going to be that way, but a lot of the time they are. Same thing with madams, which is the same thing as a pimp, basically. Um it's just a woman doing it instead of a man.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um and so I kind of understand that, but at the same time, there's safety in those situations. Yeah, there's safety numbers. Um but
Community Standards and Image Management
SPEAKER_00they've explicitly made it so you can't do that. So it's like on the one hand, they're saying, oh, you're allowed to do this, but don't do it in a safe manner.
SPEAKER_03Yes, what they're saying. And it's super nutty that a lot of these laws, like, so I'm not gonna mention the one thing that I saw as to why at least 30% of the reason why some of these laws came into play. Because to me, that's absolutely fucking stupid. It really is. And I'll tell you off mic why. But the fact of the matter is, is just because you take it as just because you take something away or sweep it under the rug doesn't mean it doesn't happen and doesn't make us better because oh, we we made sex workers illegal, yeah. So they went away. They just went, yeah, they just just fucking went away.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, it's like Japan saying that they don't have any homeless people.
SPEAKER_03Well, I mean, technically they do have those rent a rooms, yeah. You know, they're really cheap for the day for the homeless people, yeah. But everybody has homeless. Yeah, I just think the United States is probably the worst of it. Uh it probably isn't, but it feels like it's the worst of it.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, definitely. At least on here in the West Coast, it feels like it's fucking and it's been getting worse for well since COVID. Even before then it was pretty bad.
SPEAKER_03But well, since the Trank epidemic started in 2016, yeah.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It it's it's you know, we have all these little things that we do here on the West Coast, like or at least here in Washington State, where we you've got like tiny villages and stuff. And if y'all think prostitution ain't happening out there, you're wrong. You're absolutely wrong. I saw the other day when I was driving by, I saw somebody walking into the uh tiny village, which they do for the homeless. Um, yep, I saw somebody walking their wearers in there. So, you know, hey, I don't know. It it I wish they would let brothels be legal because again, it's going to allow the people who are doing this type of work because they want to do this type of work. And yeah, it's just like stripers. A lot of the stripers they enjoy their work and they do it because it's bigger money.
SPEAKER_00Easy money.
SPEAKER_03It's it's it is so easy money to a degree, but then it's not to a degree. So it's easier money than going to welcome to redacted. Yeah. Welcome to redacted. Can I take your order for $17 an hour? Or, you know, they can take what they're doing part-time and make it a full-time gig and be like, welcome to Tata Land for $90 an hour.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Math, all you have to do is basic math.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And if you take, and I've said this for a long time, as long as not as long as I've been having sex, but as long as I've been legally able to vote. How about that? That we should have legal brothels because it's going to take away some of these. I mean, what did we have up north in the nursing homes? We're having that huge STD epidemic. Do you remember which one it was? I don't know. Which one was it? Gonorrhea or Sift they were getting.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, something.
SPEAKER_03And it's just like, it ain't, it ain't just the old ladies getting okay. It's a huge percentage old men's.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because up north they have lots of hidden massage parlors.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03Um, but it's just like when the 65 plus crowd has the sift going around, dude. I mean, come on. Make it legal, make it to where these brothels have to provide medical care for these women and men or trans, whoever prefers to do it. Make sure they get proper medical care and make sure that they're they have a safe space to do it. Because otherwise, you know, it's gonna be, you know, the I-5 killer is gonna be reenacted where they're just picking up prostitutes on the side of the road. It's gonna be another, it's gonna be another, you know, green river killer going on.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because that's the thing with serial killers and murderers is they are they are opportunistic.
Military Brothels That Worked
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Many of them are opportunistic, and what better way to be optimistic than that?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, and a lot of people don't realize that a lot of serial killers utilize street walkers.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Illegal prostitution.
SPEAKER_00Most asocial behavior type people are opportunistic. So they'll Yeah. Oh, there's a woman by herself, it's midnight, nobody's around. This is a perfect chance.
SPEAKER_03Exactly.
SPEAKER_00Um, or oh, it's an old lady or an old man or a child, it's fucking attack of opportunity.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and you know, and to me, it would be like, like, I mean, I'm not making fun of this at all whatsoever. I truly do believe that you should have. I would love to see brothels become legal. And I think that the right kind of person, copyright 2026, everyday life, after you're dark, Jen and Tagda, make sure they have a drive-thru. You can have a drive-thru where the girl comes out to your car, does a blow and go. You don't even gotta get your lazy ass out of the car. You just gotta get your fat ass unzipped. You know what I'm saying? Yeah, you could do a drive-thru blow and go for like 50 bucks, right? Oh my god, can you imagine? If there was a car full, it'd be like a clown car, be like, oh, all, but still, it's like buy four, get one free or something. Like, can you imagine the menus? Oh my god. Menager tois special 1350 for 12 hours or something.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh my god, it would be so glorious.
SPEAKER_00I'm just imagining the logistics of that, especially when it comes to security purposes.
SPEAKER_03Right. Um I mean, first of all, you would have to have securities that you know that yeah, they would have to do a non-disclosure rate. They would have to have a non-disclosure agreement, and they would also have to be able to be willing to watch people have sex without jerking themselves off or anything else like that. They have to be able to separate it.
SPEAKER_00I mean, uh you see something enough times and it becomes not as interesting. Um also like I don't know, I've never worked in the like strip club industry, but I've had friends who have.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_00And um one of the issues that they often have is with boyfriends and girlfriends and blah blah blah. Um, and so sometimes even the security people will have, oh, this is the stripper or whatever that I like. Yeah. Um she's doing X with so-and-so, now I'm angry, kind of situations. Yeah. Um but generally speaking, um, from my experience working in the adult industry, it becomes oh, yep, there's another vagina, there's another penis, there's some more boobies. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And it's really weird, and it's such a weird effect. It's just like you go on autopilot so quickly because you know, I can remember people bringing up and asking questions. I'm like, yeah, yeah, she's got a symmetrical vagina, it's really great. Woo-hoo, yeah. Like, like, yep, yep, back to reaction. Oh, no, that's a that's a prolapse. No thanks. You know, I I remember those things so vividly and thinking. I remember the first month I was just like, why do I need to look at this with you? I'm not going home with you, you know, and like to the customers or whatever. And then it was just like, nope, her pussy is just so ugly. Like, she's hot except for her pussy. So just imagine that pussy while you look at her face. Yeah. You know, you get that way. You get so I I don't want to say sterile about it. I don't want to be like sterile.
SPEAKER_01Jaded.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you get very jaded. And it's just like, Alexis Texas, I love your ass. I love your movies, but I did not love her vagina before her labia plasty. I was just like, you take your fucking meat wings and fly away, okay? I labias, meaty labias scare me. There's nothing wrong with them.
SPEAKER_00They're beautiful and there's more to play with.
SPEAKER_03There's nothing wrong with them. They're perfectly normal. But for me, I don't want it in my face. Yeah. And that's John Leguizamo's fault because the first comedy I special I saw him on HBO, he was talking about his dad and she unfurled it and flapped away. Yeah. And so it scares me. So I was traumatized by that because obviously my vagina doesn't look like that. And I was just like, there are vaginas where they got meat hangers. What the fuck is this? They're all beautiful, they're all glorious. But my preference is they don't look like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I'll send them all your way, brother, so you can have more to play with. You can get suffocated by it.
SPEAKER_00Anyway.
SPEAKER_03That's my fear. That's my fear is during Cutalingus, it's just kind of like a face sucker. Like fucking alien.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But I I love uh what's what's her name? Brianna Banks. Is that her name? The one I had the poster of forever. Oh God, she's she to me is like the epitome of a perfect woman. Full breast, full ass. She even had a little bit of chub on her bell, and it was just so nice. So it was like, oh, there's something soft and squishy to grab. Yeah. So, you know, I I find women very lovely. I find men very lovely. Uh I don't like Roman Namar's penis. It scares me. It's got a weird curve to it.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03So Roman Roman.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Roman Roman. Um, same with Rocco. Uh uh, just and Nacho. And what's his name? Xander something or another.
SPEAKER_00I don't remember. I just remember his name is Xander.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I mean, like, I don't know. Like Danny Mountain was okay. I mean, he's all right. But you're like, I don't can't remember any male penises. Well, that's not your that's not your thing.
SPEAKER_00I blanked them out.
SPEAKER_03I blocked it all out. Yeah. Whenever I was watching a movie, I just saw this black line where the penis should be.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I looked down at my penis and went, imagine your penis there. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Yep.
SPEAKER_03Which I think a lot of guys do. I think that's why you get that. I think I personally think that's why we would get people who would come in and be like, Do you have any movies like this? Do you have any movies like that? Like, I always loved it. I loved it when people would come in. You got any movies with like huge Asian guys and little tiny white girls? Yeah, Kenji. Isn't what his name is Kenji?
SPEAKER_00Or yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_03Kenji or something like that. No, but not him, you know, like, not like built like me, but with a big dick. At five foot two, you're trying to tell me you're rocking nine inches. That's possible. It is possible, but that would be an absolute anomaly. And I actually remember telling somebody that if they were actually built, yeah, I'm actually bigger than him, so I need to stamp that a little bit. Okay. If you're actually like that, you need to contact a studio because you would be a niche and they would want you for many things.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03There is there is there is something about Japanese or South Korean men, if they're a pack and heat, they're in high demand.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, I mean, yeah, because the stereotype is that Asian dudes have small penises.
SPEAKER_03And I don't think that's
Seattles Aurora Ave
SPEAKER_03I don't think I've I've dated Asian men, then I don't think that's true at all.
SPEAKER_00I would say they're I think their average is is smaller than world average.
SPEAKER_03It it is. However, if they're Asian and they live in the United States, apparently that's not applicable.
SPEAKER_00Uh I don't know. Well, chances are a lot of a lot of Asians in the United States aren't full blood Asian.
SPEAKER_03Right.
SPEAKER_00So that of course messes with that statistic, probably.
SPEAKER_03Well, I have dated full blood Asians before in high school. So obviously we're going back a few few moons ago. That's a day or two ago. Fuck you. Excuse me. Um 5,000 days ago. Aw, thank.
SPEAKER_00Five million days ago.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you dick. Anyway. Anyways, um, so I think that brothels should be legal. I don't see why they shouldn't be legal because if they were legal, we wouldn't have the fucking shit in Seattle like we do now. Have you heard Aurora Avenues have had pimps shooting at each other.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, they well, they decriminalized it in Seattle for a while.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's right, just like drugs. Gotcha.
SPEAKER_00But I guess they've overturned that because there were so because there were so many broth uh brothels, so many prostitutes just walking up and down Aurora Avenue for so long.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um, and they got sick of the uh sort of optics of that.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Um Well, and you know, you they were having with the with the with the hourly rate motel stuff up there, like here's one of the big problems. Here's a huge problem to me when we don't have legalized brothels. A place to go and do your business is fine. Like, I mean, I would not even care if if this like, say Cindy, Mindy, and Bangarang were all a group of friends, and their buddy John would do bodyguard work for them. If they got tested, inspected, and certified, they could go work out of a brothel one week and a month.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And they they could rent the space for the brothel because they're health certified, and they could go work out of there. And then Cindy, Mindy, and Bangarang can make their money and have a lovely life. We have this thing where everybody presumes prostitutions and brothels create a scuzzy environment because that's what we that is currently what people do. They don't invest in trying to do it in a fashion where it's just like, hey, the this is one of the reasons why they can't get it as a reputable business, is because of what you see. You go to the local Motel 6 and it's like, oh, well, yeah, you know, I most certainly don't want to see Drippy Cunt saying, Hey, you got $10, honey, I got five minutes. Uh no, thanks. I don't that no, I'm good.
SPEAKER_00It reminded me of the I can't remember the dude's name is comedian that I watched several of his little skits or whatever, and he was talking about um uh pizza and how you Remember how fucking uh what was it, Little Caesars was popular back in like the late eighties and into the mid nineties. Yeah. And then it just disappeared, went out of business, and then it came back as what it is now.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00And basically he was imitating some disgusting prostitute, 30-year smoker or whatever.
SPEAKER_01Oh gosh.
SPEAKER_00As the as the uh pizza? Pizza. I don't do quality.
SPEAKER_03For fuck's sake. I don't know. I I think I personally I think brothel should be legal. I think it should be regulated by our state. Uh because that way we can keep a little more of this STDs under control.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And we can put some money back into like, like honestly, think about this. If it was legal, right? First of all, you have people who are back in the workforce. And so they're putting money
Harm in the Shadows: Serial Killers and Homelessness
SPEAKER_03back into the economy in a better way. Get them away from these pimps that are doing the forced prostitution. If somebody you could have, if you have a brothel, you could have somebody who is, I don't want to have intercourse. I do, I'll do hand jobs and blowjobs all day long. But I don't want you penetrating my anus or my vagina, or my anus if you're a guy. Like whatever.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Or my mouth. You know what I'm saying? You could pick, you could have a specialty. But here's the caveat. If you had a brothel, right, and it could sell be regulated, right? Medically, it also could start programs like getting them different kinds of education.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03They could they could set up 401k funds, like legal ways to add to what we perceive as human value and human worth.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And you know, because I mean, honestly, there comes a point when it what?
SPEAKER_00Oh, I just had an idea. Uh I won't I won't mention it on here.
SPEAKER_03Okay. So, anyways, that's just my thought. Brothels, I'm for them. I think it's a good thing. I think we have enough uh property in unincorporated Pierce County to where they could set it up, it'd be out of the way, it's not in the faces of children, and it could be regulated, put some people to work, because I'm getting tired of paying that welfare.
SPEAKER_00Yeah. I agree it should be legal and regulated. Regulated. I don't know. I don't know what the because they've been doing this experiment of different variations of legalizing it across the globe.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_00I don't know what the statistical data is for each of the variations, right? Right. For like disease crime that isn't prostitution, like um assault or murder or kidnapping or anything like that.
SPEAKER_01Right, right.
SPEAKER_00Um it would be interesting to look into that and see like which country of the various different types of legalization of prostitution, which countries have the best outcomes.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00For the most amount of people, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Um it'd be interesting to see, and then based on that information, make it whatever version of legality that works best for humanity.
unknownRight.
SPEAKER_03See, and I and I and I want to I'm gonna probably lean and say Amsterdam might be that because first of all, they've been doing red light district for a long time. A very long time, so like a hundred plus years or or something like that. But one of the upside to doing the brothels is everybody gets tested. It's just like the porn industry. You have to get tested. So it's forcing people to deal with medical conditions that they might not otherwise disclose because it yeah, it's it takes time away from work, it takes time, it takes money. Well, yeah, but if you are working in an industry where you can get a medical plan, hello. Yeah, and preventative maintenance is a huge thing that that normal people working on the streets don't get.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So I have lots of ideas for it. I think it's a good thing. Um, statistically, I think Amsterdam is probably the leader of it because their whole red light district has three primary things prostitution, marijuana bars, and coffee bars.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And almost, you know, and they're very successful at it. They they literally have probably more than a million people a year fly in just to visit it every year. Yeah, vacation there. Um, it's a thriving industry for them.
SPEAKER_00I actually bought a vacation home right on the border of I'm like, I thought you bought one square foot on the Isle of Man. No, that was uh Scotland.
SPEAKER_03Scotland. Yeeha. Anyways, we are out of time for today. I don't know. You can leave your thoughts in the comments. I I'm personally pro-bro brothel because um, you know, I'd like to see people who are utilizing themselves. If they're enjoying the work and they're doing it willingly, then let's get them to where they can get better health care, where they can be in a more secure location, where maybe they have an advisor there that can, hey, you can diversify and you can save money for a 401k plan and you can go to school and get a better education for ca, you know, pussy only holds out so long. I am sorry, your body only holds out so long.
SPEAKER_00Yeah, yeah. The same with the strip clubs, like if they had people to sort of properly direct them and uh ensure that they were like investing their money and stuff, yeah, it would be a great thing for college students or whatever the fuck.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I mean the percentage of them that are actually doing it to earn their way through college is becoming less and less. You know, I mean, you've got porn stars though that do the same thing. They were putting themselves through college to get higher education. Yeah.
The Wrap Up
SPEAKER_03You've got fucking porn stars who are mensa people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03They're very smart people.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But I mean, like, look at Nina Hartley. She's had like a 40 plus year career. And she only does she only does it because she likes to she likes to have sex with younger ladies, so good for her.
SPEAKER_00And men.
SPEAKER_03And men. But most like she does a lot more of the girl girl stuff.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Which I think I I think that comes pretty pronounced for women of a certain age because uh fluid issues. Let's say, anyways. Anyway, we're out of time for today. Hopefully, you're pro-bot brothel. Leave us a comment, like, subscribe. Just tell us what you think, because I'm not looking at it's not 1860. We're not trying to impress the Queen of England, we're trying to be a good society to ourselves and other people. Have a great day. Later. Bye. Thank you for joining us on our After Dark journey today. Please follow, like, subscribe, and share. Until next time.
