If you’ve been doing all the “right” things, reading the books, listening to podcasts, saving the posts, but still feel stuck… this episode is going to hit.
Because the truth is:
Your healing journey might actually be the thing keeping you in the same cycle.
In this episode of Manifesting Your Sht*, we’re diving into the hidden trap of information overload, emotional processing without action, and why constantly “working on yourself” can turn into avoidance.
You’ll learn:
- Why consuming self-development content can feel like progress (but isn’t)
- How your nervous system keeps you stuck in learning mode instead of action
- The difference between insight vs. integration
- Why healing can become a subconscious hiding place
- How to break the cycle and actually start creating change
Plus, I’m giving you a simple but powerful 3-minute action shift you can use immediately to interrupt the loop and start building real momentum.
This episode is for you if you feel:
✨ Stuck despite doing “all the work”
✨ Overwhelmed with information but not seeing results
✨ Caught in cycles of overthinking and not taking action
✨ Ready to stop consuming and start becoming
Want to embody the shift instead of just thinking about it?
I host donation-based Wednesday Breathwork every Wednesday at 9PM EST (virtual). Come regulate, release, and train your nervous system to feel safe receiving — now, not “someday.” Sign up here: Return to Self: Wednesday Breathwork
Every Sunday at79PM EST, I hold a small, private Breathwork Ritual designed for deeper identity integration. This is a slower, more intentional space to expand, embody, and reorganize safely. Limited spots available each week.

Welcome to Manifesting Your Shit, the podcast, where we ditch the fluff, drop the rules, and create a life that's unapologetically ours. I'm Lisa, and here, your mindset, your energy, your messiness, and your wildest dreams are the only currency. Are you ready? Let's fucking go. And welcome back to Manifesting Your Shit, the podcast. Alright, today's episode, um, I'm gonna be talking about something that hopefully, well, I mean, not hopeful, you guys resonate with, but you're gonna understand. And hopefully, if you do resignate with it, it'll help kind of set off the light bulb. Um, I'm gonna be talking about how your healing journey might actually be the thing that's keeping you stuck. And I don't say that to invalidate the work that you've done because I know you've done the work, you've dug into the trenches, you've read the books, listened to the podcast, saved the podcast, had the breakthroughs. But if you're being really honest with yourself, how much of it have you actually used? Because there's a difference between learning and actually living. And today we're gonna talk about that space that's in between the the place where so many people, including myself, have gotten trapped. So the thing that I feel doesn't like get talked about enough is that you can become addicted to information, and not in a dramatic way, but like in this like sneaky, socially acceptable, I'm working on myself kind of way. Because every time you hear something that resonates, your brain lights up. You think like, oh my god, that's it. This this makes so much sense. This this is exactly what I needed. And for a moment, you feel better. But then afterwards, nothing actually changes because in sight without integration, it just winds up becoming entertainment. And if we're being honest, a lot of people are consuming content all day long and calling it growth. And trust me, I 100% know. Like I have been there, I have gone down rabbit holes of like even switching where to the point of while you're growing through it, like some people's work no longer resonates. And then you go to another guru teacher uh speaker, like I've gone through, I think I've said it in a couple of other ones, like I've done the whole Joseph Ally, I've gone down Kim Valez's, um uh there was oh my god, there's just so many that I can't even like fully think of all of them right now, but I've gone through where there's certain teachers that resonate in that moment, and you just spiral and want to listen to every single thing that they release, and you keep real like listening and listening, and then it gets to a point of okay, but how much of this information am I actually using? Like it sounds so good and it feels so good while you're doing it, but what am I actually getting from it? And this is where it gets a little deeper, because at some point all of this knowledge, all of this healing can become like a hiding place. Like you're always working on yourself, you're always processing and figuring it out. But if you're never actually moving, because movement requires something different. It requires being seen, it requires making a decision, it requires getting it wrong sometimes. So instead you stay in this loop where you're just getting all this information. I just need one more tool, just one more video, like one more breakthrough is finally gonna get me there. But at some point you you have to ask yourself, am I healing or am I using this to avoid? Now, let's bring it in with what's actually happening underneath all of this. Your nervous system is wired to keep you safe, not expanded. We know this, this whole comfort zone every time it feels that you're going outside of it, even if it's something that's going to dramatically change your life in the best fucking possible way. Your brain is like er breaks, what the fuck are we doing? So we know this, and we know that learning learning feels safe. Learning keeps you in control. It keeps you observing instead of participating. But doing hm doing is fucking vulnerable. Doing means your body has to experience something new and new, hm, even when it did and feel fucking unsafe. So your system, it says let's just learn a little bit more first. But here's the truth. Your body would rather learn about safety than actually feeling it. So let me show you the cycle that you might not even realize that you're in. You feel discomfort. You go searching for answers, you consume content, you feel that temporary relief and high, but then you don't apply it. And then you repeat the next time you feel discomforted again and over and over again. And again, I'm not calling you guys out because this is fucking like I've done it, I've lived it for years. Again, like, and like I said, even hopping from content creator to the next content creator, like been there, done that. Um, and we keep repeating it, and it feels like this healing journey, but it's really actually only a consumption loop. So how do you break it? That's a big question. And it's not by learning more, it's by doing something radically different. You start using what you already know, you pick one tool, one shift, one practice, and you use it when it actually matters, in the moment you would normally viral because repetition creates change, not information. You don't need more wisdom, you need more reps. So here's one of the things that I want you to actually try to do. The next time that you feel the urge to open another podcast to scroll for answers or to figure something out, I want you to pause and I want you to ask yourself this what is one action I already know would move me forward right now. Not looking for some new information, not something that you need to learn, something that you already know. And then this is the important part, but do it. Do it immediately. Do it for like at least three minutes. That's it. Move before you even think, just do it. You send the message, you open the document, you record the video, you go for a walk, you take that step. Because action, action is what is going to create evidence, and evidence rewires your identity faster than information ever will. And I'm going to say this with love. If you keep choosing content over action, you're not confused, you're actually just avoiding. So I'm going to leave you with this you're not behind, you are not broken, you're just over informed and utter practiced. And the version of you that you're trying to become, she's not learning more. She's moving, she's choosing, and she's doing things before she even feels ready. She trusts herself enough to act. So if this is you, if you feel seen in this in a way, this is exactly the work that I do, helping you move out of your head and into your body so you can stop consuming and actually start becoming.
