This episode is different.
Instead of diving into the latest nutrition study or breaking down the science behind a health topic, I'm taking you behind the scenes to share the why behind the next chapter of FitNerd.
After months of planning, learning, and building, I'm officially launching my website, partnering with a peptide company, and opening appointments for personalized health coaching and peptide consultations.
But this isn't just about adding new services—it's about creating a place where people can finally connect the dots between their nutrition, fitness, lab work, genetics, lifestyle, and overall health.
In this episode, I share:
• Why I started FitNerd
• The journey that led me here
• Why I believe education is one of the most powerful tools for better health
• My philosophy on coaching and personalized wellness
• How peptides fit into the bigger picture
• What you can expect from coaching with me
• Everything you'll find on the new FitNerd website
Whether you've been listening since day one or you're just discovering FitNerd, thank you for being here. I'm so excited for what's ahead, and I can't wait to help you better understand your body and take control of your health.
🎧 After you listen, be sure to check out the new website, where you can book coaching and peptide consultations, explore educational resources, read the blog, shop my favorite supplements, and keep up with everything FitNerd.

Hey friends, and welcome to the Fit Nerd Podcast. This is the podcast where faith, fitness, and science all collide. I'm Abby, and I'm here to help you work with the body that God gave you so that you can feel stronger, you can feel healthier, and you can feel happier in your everyday life. Around here, we geek out on all the good stuff. I'm talking genetics, nutrition, training, hormones, biohacking, even the spiritual side of health. Because you are fearfully and wonderfully made, understanding how your body works is one of the best ways that we can honor that design. For me, this isn't just about looking good today. It's about feeling good as I age. I want to be fit when I'm old and I want to enjoy life to the absolute fullest, which means feeling my best. And I want that for you too. So whether you're lifting, running, meal prepping, momming, or just listening on your drive, let's dig into the current fads in fitness, the truth in science, and the hope that we can find in faith so you can make the best choices for the amazing body that God gave you. This is the Fit Nerd Podcast. Let's get started. Hey guys, welcome to Fit Nerd. So today is looking a little bit different. I am officially launching the second part of Fit Nerd, and I'm so excited to talk to you guys about this. Chapter two, I suppose. I kind of teased on my social media last week about this, and so I've been working really hard for a while, and I'm very excited to talk to you guys about this today. I'm recording today from our cook shack at the ranch, which is pretty cool. It's across the way from our house, and it's such a cool little building. So I thought it was kind of fitting to um to record in such a such a cool little place full of history. But so, anyways, I want to let you guys know what's going on. If you followed me for any amount of time here, then you know that I've always been fascinated in the why behind health. I having kits in really taught me to ask more questions, not be satisfied with just a diagnosis or a box that a doctor might potentially fit you in. I want to know why and I want to know how, and I want to still figure out why our bodies function differently. I want to know why I can't eat the same diet as a bodybuilder that I'm watching on TikTok that looks phenomenal and I eat that diet and I feel terrible. I want to know why. I want to know why I potentially don't recover as well as some other athletes. I want to know why Kitsen having an extra chromosome is gonna make her require different supplements than I am. These are all things that I'm very interested in, and so much more. Anything that has to do with science, health, fitness, beauty, all of those things put together, and I wanna know. I want to figure it out. So I feel like since having Kitsen, you know, our our life has taken quite some twists and turns there. Most for the best, right? But there's been some that have been a a little bit hard to kind of wrap my brain around. And I feel like it has that the the difficult times is what I feel like helped to motivate me and push me to to get comfortable, you know, figure out also the why behind God putting us in um some of those situations. And so this has been such a fun journey for me to now end up where I'm at. I have really enjoyed this podcast and sharing information with you guys. I am gonna continue to do that. I am so excited about some of the episodes that I have coming up. So much information and so much, so many things I've been curious about that I'm hopefully sharing information you guys would be curious about too. I have some cool ones. Cool ones in the works, but but this today is to let you guys know what has been in the works. Number one, the number one launch here is a website. So this is probably something I should have done from the very beginning. But I honestly didn't know this podcast was gonna get to where it got. I really just wanted an avenue to be able to share with you guys the information that I was researching and that I was interested in, and I didn't really realize it would turn into this. So I, you know, I have been a hairstylist since 2008. Um I was a volleyball coach for many years, which I loved, absolutely loved. I'll get into that a little bit more in a minute. I teach, you know, health and science for the state of New Mexico for people who are wanting to become permanent makeup artists. I'm a mom, I'm a homeschool mom, I'm a ranch wife, but I am also somebody who absolutely loves fitness and nutrition and all things wrapped around health. So, because of this random combination of worlds, I do feel like I receive a lot of questions, especially now with this podcast, of like, hey, what supplements do you actually truly take for you? What do you put in your water bottle? I get that one a lot at the hair salon. You know, I just got these labs in, my doctor interpreted them, but I'm kind of struggling it with exactly what they mean. Um, can you look at them for me? I just did my genetics. Can you help me? Um, you know, how do I fix my energy? What peptides are you using? You know, I get a lot of these questions often. How do you guys get groceries out in the middle of nowhere when you live two hours from a Walmart? What grocery services do you use? How do you keep your kids eating healthy when you live so far from a way to go grab groceries? Those are all questions that I feel like I have often through text messages, through my clients sitting there, through phone calls, uh one-on-one with people, you know, randomly at a Fourth of July event. These are all things that I feel like I talk about often. So why not have a home base, a place where I can just say, go to my website and I can tell you on there exactly all of these things. Or just go explore it and see what I'm what I'm doing, and maybe it'll help you with the things you're curious about with your own health. Also, it's a home base for um booking apartments, booking for hair, booking for health coaching, which I'll get into, peptide information, my Amazon storefront, all of those things. It's all gonna be right there in that website. Clickable links were hopefully one-stop shop for you to be able to get to. And organized resources, all of that in order to help you guys out. So hopefully that helps. I will put the link in today's show notes, but also to let you know, it's uh the name of it is Health and Beauty by Abby Bell.com. And um I hope you guys share it. Spread it around, let other people look at it too. So that's the first launch, which I'm super excited about. I worked so hard on that website. Holy moly. So please go visit it. Please. Because seriously, I've spent so much time on it. So thank you for for going to check it out. Okay, number two. I am equally excited about this one, potentially more excited. I have decided to offer health coaching. So I, like I said, coached volleyball for years, and I absolutely cherish that time that I had with those girls. I was very sad when that chapter closed for me. Honestly, too sad. It was a little bit of a hard time for me. And I'm grateful for my mom and my sister because they were the ones that were like, you are gonna need an avenue to get this information out to people. Um, you are gonna need something to do. You either need to like sign up for a full marathon, or my sister was like, you need a podcast. You need to be sharing this information with people. So thank you to them. I got started with all of this. But I do truly, truly miss the coaching aspect. I love sharing knowledge. I loved sharing knowledge with those girls. They were a lot of them didn't know. They didn't know fitness, they didn't know nutrition, and they didn't know health, you know. Some of them did for sure, but the vast majority of them really didn't. And so I enjoyed sharing that with them. I don't know if they always enjoyed hearing it from me, because let's be honest, they're high school girls, right? But but I loved I loved sharing it with them. So I really loved like the conditioning side of coaching, of creating these workout programs for these kids, especially over the summer. And then teaching them about what they needed to be fueling their bodies with. I think it's so important. And I think it's something that is completely overlooked for our young athletes, especially, you know, very, very busy athletes in these rural small towns, they play every single sport. A lot of them are ranching, like my son is working out in the in the heat. My daughter also, they're working hard, they're horseback, and then they have to literally oftentimes drive straight to practice from there. So, how do they need to be fooling their bodies in order to be the most efficient at their workouts? I'd love to help. I'd love to help your teen athletes, but not just from that side of things. I also would love to help the adults in this, right? I want to help all of us women who have reached a place of their life where they're like, something's not right, my body's not mine anymore. Let's figure that out. If you are somebody who's never really worked out or never really looked at nutrition, maybe you've never done blood work, maybe you have never looked at your genetics. All of those things I want to help with. I want to help you create new habits, different habits. Let's explore and figure out what is best for your body personally. I am huge on goals. I love goals. I love to set them and I love to to help other people set them and to hold you accountable. So you're looking for it. I'm here. I want to help you out. It doesn't matter who you are. If you are a man, if you are a woman, if you are older, if you are younger, if you're a teenager, let me help you. It's not a one size fit-all for anybody. And I want to, I want to help you reach your best self. So I'm very excited about this. Now, this, how you can access this coaching is through my website. So I have a whole page on it on there on health coaching. I will also link the website onto my show notes for today. And you can directly go there or you can go through my website too. But there are different options. If you want to just have one session where we sit and we just really get you on the right track, I tell you what I recommend that you go do. Obviously, I'm not a doctor, so I'm not gonna be diagnosing you or prescribing you with anything, but I can definitely tell you what I think is potentially going on. Let's figure it out together. Um, I would love to do that for you. I also have other options that are more long-term options. Um Do you need a few sessions? Do you need us to meet once a week? Do you need us to meet every couple days? I'm available. So I would love, love, love, love to do that for you and help you reach your goals. I think that would be so much fun. And a huge part of that coaching too, which is like my third launch here, is peptides. So I get the phone call about peptides all the time. I get the text messages, I get my clients sit in my chair and they're like, tell me about it, what's going on? How is this working? You know, and then I had the little tease on my social media this week, right? There were always mentioned peptides. That one little tease brought like 15 phone calls and text messages from people. Like, what is going on with these peptides? Can you please fill me in? You know? So I have, you know, I've talked to you guys about peptides before, but I have dove really deep into them because I do think that they can be very helpful for most people. I don't think they're magic. I don't think that they're a shortcut, but I absolutely think they can be a tool when they are combined with good nutrition, good sleep, good training, good healthy habits, all of those things together, I think can really help. And sometimes you need that little push of that peptide in order to reach goals. Women who are stuck, men who are stuck, I think we reach either an age or we we reach a point of our health that we need an extra push there because our bodies are not working the way God intended. God designed us to work well, we've messed it up along the way. And I often think that peptides, when done correctly, when using the right ones, can kick your body into the mode that it needed to be from the get-go. But we have, we have messed up. So truly, that's what I believe with peptides. But the question is always, how do I do this? I don't know how to do this. This is so overwhelming, especially if you're on the wrong side of social media that fills you in on a lot of these negative, terrible, horrible side effects from people who have been utilizing peptides the wrong way, or people in the medical field who only see the people come in who have used them incorrectly and they're there because they didn't get good guidance on what to do and they had some terrible, awful side effect. So people are confused about it. They need to know where to go and what to do. So I really want to help people see that peptides are can be wonderful when done correctly. And so I have came up with some different options for all of you guys. I have number one, to book a health consultation for peptides. Let's chat, let's talk about what's going on, why you're interested in them, why you're scared of them, what's going on, and let's figure out what the correct roadmap is for you, if that's something, if we even think peptides will work well for you. You might be somebody that we talked to, I talk to, and I'm like, I don't think that's gonna work for you. You know, there's too many red flags here. Obviously, I'm not gonna prescribe peptides to you. Can't do that. And most peptides are not approved by the FDA. If that's something that freaks you out, I have partnered with a company that is about all about the peptides from the safe side of things. So XMD is the company I decided to partner with partner with. I've done so much research and I have found that this company is really good for people who are a little nervous or maybe have a lot of health concerns that want 24-7 access to a doctor, that want some guidance there, and they don't want to mess with anything that's not FDA approved. If that is you, XMD is for you. So that you can even get started with that one today if you just click on my link, go straight to it. It's gonna take you there. You can fill out your forms on that go directly to a doctor, they can have it compounded for you right away. And what's cool about XMD is they can compound a lot of those things together and they do it monthly. So, you know, there's some coenzymes that are wonderful, like NAD plus gives you so much energy. So if you wanted to combine that with trusepatide, you're wanting to start a GLP1 for inflammation, maybe you want to lose some extra fat, you know, trzepatide's wonderful. Mix trisepatide with some NAD to give you some extra energy, um, that's fantastic. You can't do that with a lot of other peptides. So uh having a doctor that uses a lab that they can compound directly, that's pretty cool. So um, if that sounds interesting to you, go ahead and click on the link for XMD. You can get started right away. But if you just want some information on peptides or you want some information on peptides that aren't FDA approved, I'll give you what I've researched on it and book a consultation. We can look at some different options for you there. So very excited about that. I love peptides. I really, really do, and I think that they can be great for people. So if you're interested in it, click on my website, go to the peptide section, book a consultation with me or book XMD right away. Whatever you want to do. But I'm here if you have any questions about it, and I'd love to answer any questions for you on that, and I'd love to send you in the right direction. Basically, guys, that's it. Those are my three big launches. Feels really big. I'm really excited about this. Just want everybody to be exploring what could be best for your body. You deserve to feel good. We all need to feel good. And I think we've all lived in a world where you're just supposed to age and you're supposed to have aches and pains and you're supposed to feel crummy, but that's not true. That's really not true. I also think that we all need more education on nutrition. I think that there hasn't been a lot of information out there. For many years, there's been a lot of wrong information out there, and a lot of things have changed. And I think it's a good opportunity for all of us to be focusing on our longevity. And I know for me, longevity is huge. That is probably my biggest motivation with all of this. I love my kids so much and my husband so much. I want to be here for them as long as I possibly can. And they deserve to have a healthy mom later on. You know, with we don't know what the kids in story is. We don't know how long she's gonna be with us. We know she's pretty self-sufficient, so I feel like she's gonna be just fine. But you never know. She might live with us for the rest of her life. And I don't, I want that to be for the rest of our life, she might live with us. And I want that to be a long time. I want my I don't want my big kids to have to take on a lot of responsibilities. I want to be healthy for as long as I possibly can for my family. I do think that we all have a responsibility there to be taking care of ourselves so that we don't have to become somebody else's problem when we're older. And anyways, so that's that's my little message to you. I hopefully these three launches can help you in some way. I will still be doing my podcasts so much because I love it. But I want to share the information that I have studied with you guys. I want to give it to you. And I um I'm excited about how I can do that. So uh, so there it is, guys. If you have any questions, jump out and let me know. Let me know what things look like on your end. And yeah, share this with people. Let people know. I want to I want this to be a fun new chapter of Fit Nerd and it's something I care a lot about. So uh spread the word. Pretty pleased. Thanks guys for listening. Have a good one.
