Welcome And Lunar New Year Context

At the point of recording this episode, we are just about a week off of the Lunar New Year, and this year coming is going to be the year of the fire horse. We have previously or right now are just at the tail end of the year of the snake.

Lessons From The Snake Year

And if you're not familiar with the Chinese New Year, with the Lunar New Year, I'd love to tell you just a little bit about it because energetically it is really potent for you to feel into these things over the next week or two. So with the past year being the year of the snake, the themes around this have really been around shedding, releasing, letting go, closing out karmic loops, letting go of anything in your life that doesn't

Fire Horse Energy And New Beginnings

serve. And we are about to move into the fire horse year, which is going to be a year which is really connected to new beginnings, growth, moving towards your desires with fuel, with fire. And it's going to be a year of rapid change. And so, as we are in kind of the final week of the snake, this is your final opportunity to use the energy of this year to really release and let go of anything that you feel like you're holding right now. And I share that almost as a permission slip to know that you are not too late into the year of 2026, that you're right on time if presently you haven't felt like a real force or desire or opportunity to go all in on what it is that you want to manifest or even goal creation or anything like that, because the lunar new year, which is obviously connected to the cycles of the moon, hasn't begun yet. And so you're right on time.

Why Logic Alone Falls Short

And I wanted to speak in this episode about what can actually really support you energetically to call in your desires, to step into the life that you want to lead, to call forth the woman you want to become, to really be in alignment with the path of your soul, with your destiny. In yoga, we talk about this path of Dharma, this path of our unique process that we're meant to move through, our unique path that we're meant to lead in our own lives, which is unique and different to anyone else's. And so we must energetically connect in with that. And yoga gives us the exact blueprint to be able to do that. And I really felt called to speak to this because it has been something that has come up with clients over the past few weeks. It is also something that I always connect in with personally, with this being one of my own big lessons in my life, in terms of how we can act towards what it is that we want. And the reason that I feel really called to speak about this right now is because we live in a patriarchal society where we see a lot of the masculine ways that we can move towards our goals and our desires, you know, the taking action, the following the step-by-step process to get to where we want to be. We always see these things in business, like the strategic path that we must implement in order to succeed, in order to get to where we want to be inside of our work. And we can also see this inside of, you know, the goals that we might have around our health or the goals that we might have around our relationships. Like what is it that we need to do? What is it that we need to act on? How is it that we need to proceed in order to make shit happen? And of course, those things have their time and their place. Of course, those things are important. Of course, we have to take action towards where we want to go. And as well as that, when we are only operating from the place of our mind or through logic alone, it is firstly really difficult to decipher whether that path that we are trying to follow is actually the one that is right for us. And also when we are only moving from a place that is connected to our mind, it is bypassing so many of the power lines and the access that we have to our divinity because it is so disconnected from our body.

Prana, Nadis And Sustainable Change

You know, yoga talks about how we have these 72,000 lines that run through our body of prana. They're called nadis. These power lines that when we can activate them, when we can awaken them, that is the thing that is allowing our system to be fueled with the life force energy to bring forth what it is that we desire, what it is that we truly want. And this is ultimately going to be the thing that shifts your goals being something that you start on the 1st of January and finish by the 14th of January because your mind and your motivation has given up. And the ability to sustain your desires and your goals over the long term to actually become the person that you're here to be. There are a number of things that we can tap into, there are a number of things that we can do in order to ensure, firstly, that our goals are in alignment with who it is that we're here to become, and then also to be able to actualize whatever those things are.

Feeling Truth Versus Borrowed Goals

And so the first thing that we always want to do here is to check in with the resonance that we have around the things that we're desiring, to check in with whether they feel true. And often we will know that through the activation, through the sensations that we experience in our body when we think about those things. So we may, for example, have a goal around what we desire our body to look like. And perhaps that goal is coming from our mind because we have looked at other people in our season of life and thought our body should look at us a particular way. Maybe we've been bombarded with messaging on social media this time of year around what we should be focusing on, what's actually important. And so when we check in with whether that goal feels true for us, we might notice whether it actually has a connection to our heart space, even to, you know, that deep space within our belly, or whether it feels like it simply is coming from our mind. Versus maybe we have a goal around our health. Maybe we have a goal around how we want to feel inside of our system. Maybe we have a goal around how we want to wake up in the morning and how energized we want to feel when we have got up from a really restful sleep. And when we feel into that desire, there is a shift in our energy. There is a shift in the resonance that is connected to that particular desire. So the invitation here is to notice how desire speaks to you and through you, to notice what the signs and signals are that are guiding you towards what it is that you most want, what it is that you most feel called to step into this year. Because then you will know that the

Identity Work And Belief Upgrades

things that you're putting your energy towards, that you're guiding your system inside of, will be the things that are actually right for you. And that will also be something that will allow you to sustain them longer term because you'll know that they are meant for you, even if the path doesn't feel easy, even if the path doesn't feel like it just falls into place, that maybe there's some grit required for you to bring that desire to life, but you still know that it is the one that you're meant to be following. The second thing to really think about here is the identity of the person you are stepping into. If you were to wake up tomorrow morning having fulfilled the desires that you have for this year, having stepped into the woman that you wish to become, what identity does she hold? What beliefs does she hold about herself? What way does she dress? How does she fill her days? What do her routines look like? How is she moving forth and into the life that she is leading right now? And as you think about that identity as about that person that you're feeling called to step into, into more of who you already are, where are there some gaps in the things that you believe about yourself, in the stories that you hold of what you're capable of? Where are there some spots for you to tune in and up-level what it is that you are telling yourself on a day-to-day basis? Because if we simply move from a place of our mind and of action and of forcing ourselves and pressurizing ourselves to create what it is that we desire, and we don't work on that internal piece of the identity, the person that we need to become in order to fuel what it is that we want, we will experience so much resistance along the way. And so we really want to incorporate that inner voice that allows us to expand into what it is that we desire. And maybe that looks like a daily practice of looking at what your stories and beliefs are that are holding you back, of rewiring some of those stories and beliefs. Maybe it's a practice of implementing meditation to guide the mind into where you want it to go, into anchoring in those new thoughts and stories that you want to embed in a deeper way. So, what is the identity of the person that you are stepping into this year? Who does she need to become? And inside of that, perhaps there are also behaviors that she needs to let go of. Maybe the version of you that people please, maybe the version of you that plays small. What are some of the stories and beliefs that you hold that currently make you feel like you need to continue to do that? And how can you work on those this year?

Heart Coherence And Magnetising Desire

The second piece that is so important when it comes to stepping into your desires is the heart coherence that you feel around those said desires. Basically, how much you believe that it is possible for you to receive them. Energetically, we can only attract and manifest what we are in heart coherence with, what it is that we are able to magnetize towards us, what it is that we are able to actualize is based off of our energetic field and what it is capable of holding. And so, of course, this is so connected to the previous piece around our identity, around the beliefs that we hold, around shifting anything that is holding us back from being able to create that heart resonance. But also, we can work on ourselves energetically too. Yoga gives us this really powerful pathway to activate those 72,000 nadis that I just spoke about, to be in devotion to those energetic pathways every single day. So perhaps you can think about what allows you to be lit up energetically in your life, what fuels your energetic system? What allows you to feel free inside of your body, inside of your mind? Maybe this looks like the food that you consume. Maybe it looks like the walks that you take every day. Maybe it looks like the swims that you have in the ocean that clear off your auric field. Maybe it's thinking about the things that light up your heart space, that allow you to feel joy and connection and freedom and contentment. What are the ways that you can show up for your life in small little ways every single day that allow you to radiate at a frequency that allows you to call in your desires? The more you can steep yourself in the energetic frequency

Daily Energetic Practices That Light You Up

of gratitude, of joy, of contentment, the easier it becomes to call forth what it is that you truly want inside of your life. And this is not to say that we can't have a bad day or that we can't process the emotions that are really important for us to process, because of course, that is so, so important to allow ourselves to do that. And is actually the thing that frees us up to be able to call in everything that I just spoke about. It's not that we linger there or stay there for a really long time, but when we can allow ourselves to feel the fullness of our emotions on both ends of the spectrum, that is what allows us to open up the space to feel the immense gratitude and joy that is available to us because we've allowed ourselves to go to the depth of the opposite. Often what happens is we kind of sit somewhere in the middle where we don't get too excited and we don't allow ourselves to get too sad, whatever that means. And so we don't actually allow ourselves to experience the fullness of who we are and the fullness of our life. And so, where can you allow yourself to support yourself to be resonant with what it is that you're that you desire through your energetic lines that run through your body? And when you think about this peace around heart resonance, when you feel into your desires, when you imagine yourself leading that life that you want to lead, how can you allow your whole system to be lit up by that vision? What does that look like for you? As though you had already created it, as though you had already manifested whatever it is that you desire. Because our mind doesn't know the difference between what's fiction and what's real. And so the more you can allow yourself

Emotional Range And Authentic Alignment

to get in energetic alignment with whatever that desire is, the more you're able to call it forth and call it through. And the last thing that I wanted to speak about today in calling in your desires through the magic of the feminine, through what yoga teaches us, not only through the masculine doing, is our nervous system and the power of our nervous system. Because if we don't have a sense of safety inside of our body, if we haven't created a deep level of safety inside of our nervous system with what it is that we want, it is really difficult for us to call it through with force, with pressure, with taking action that feels like it is outside of our window of capacity. And so, how can you create safety in your nervous system every single day? Maybe there are some simple things that you can do to alleviate pressure that you have inside of yourself right now or inside of your daily life. Maybe there are some things that can allow your nervous system to have more rest, to have more space, to have more time to move out of the fight and flight side of our nervous system that so many of us live in on a day-to-day basis. Maybe there are also some ways that you can nurture your nervous system in knowing that it's safe and calling through the things that you want and desire. Maybe there are some things that you can do to support yourself,

Visualisation And Energetic Alignment

to increase your window of tolerance, to know that the things that you want are safe for you to have. What is it going to take for you to create that safety inside of your entire system to expand, to allow you to become the person that you're here to be? I hope this episode has activated some fire inside of you to remind you of just how powerful you are with those 72,000 noddies, energetic lines that are running through your body right now, waiting for you to use them.
