Hola, I’m Elisa. I was born in the Dominican Republic, raised in the Bronx, NY, and built my dreams from scratch, fueled by grit, cultura, and a deep desire to uplift my community. My journey started as a Peace Corps Volunteer, where I used the design thinking process to create solutions that empowered local micro-entrepreneurs of a small rural community called Guaitil de Santa Cruz, Guanacaste, to collaborate with each other instead of competing against each other. But I wanted to do more. I wanted to build something that would amplify the voices, art, and stories of women like me; women who deserved to be seen, valued, and celebrated. That vision led me to COVEDOZA, a brand that goes beyond fashion; it's a movement. I love to talk, and podcasting gives me the chance to connect with millions!
